We will be in the World next week...

At the moment I have Kali river as one of our fast passes- should I change it to the Safari instead? Or should we be fine (weather wise) or can we just throw on rain coats?

If you want it for Kali River Rapids then keep it.
If they decide to close due to inclimate weather then they will let your use your FP+ for another attraction or for that one when it re-opens.
You're already going to get wet on Kali so if you don't want to get too wet then wear rain coats/ponchos whether its raining or not.

Thank you! My main concern though, was if it was going to be too cold or not. At the moment it says high 70's- mid 50's. I'm not sure if thats appropriate kali river weather though.

That is something you have to determine for yourself.

The 50's temps would be early in the morning and later in the evning.

Some people like myself say high 70's is more than warm enough to get wet (although I'm not even a fan of water rides because I don't enjoy being wet walking around afterwards) and some people would say its too cold.

We always go on it in December and usually either go on around midday or make it the last ride before we leave (after lunch) so we can go home and get changed. We are not allowed to miss it as it's our 9 y/o's favourite attraction at AK, probably because he loves to see us soaking wet.

Depends on how you will feel walking around in that temp being in wet cold clothes. I would wear the rain poncho's why spend the day miserable. In 70 degree's the clothes won't dry that fast.

I don't feel like that ride is all that great. I probably haven't been on it in like, 10 years, but I have other amusement parks around me that have the same type of ride. I do feel like the Safari is not to be missed. It's cooler here, so if you are okay walking around wet and chilly all day, that is a call you'll have to make.. If I had to choose, I'd absolutely say safari and if you have time to wait in line do the rapids.
