What is the weather like this time of year? Too cold for shorts and swimming?

Too cold for me? Yes. But it really depends on what "cold" means to you. In March your high can reach about 65, maybe 70 in the afternoon if you're in the sun, but your lows in the mornings and when the sun goes down are going to be in the high 40's, low 50's.

I have gone the last 2 years for St. Patrick's Day, (March 17th) and the weather has been great, it has not been "hot" but where i live it gets into the 100 degree weather pretty frequently usually like hight 70's low 80's when i visited, i would say shorts yes, but hoodie at night, and as far as swimming goes, i would say bring your suits just in case.

For most people too cool for swimming but shorts weather often year round.
