Headed to the world from Nov. 20-26th. For those who have visited at that time of year, what can I expect of the weather? I'm wondering if I need to buy rain ponchos? Is it jeans and sweatshirt weather or should I bring shorts also? Winter coat? Or bring it all?

We went for Thanksgiving a few years ago. The weather in FL is really difficult to predict this time of year. FL can get really cold spurts or it may be 90 degrees all day. I would watch the forecast. Generally, it is fairly warm during the day...80s or so. I would bring shorts for the day. It does get cool in the evenings so brings sweatshirts/jeans for the evenings.

Prepare for the worst and pray for the best! We went 2 years ago and on our first day it poured so hard that most rides had to shut down due to lightning and we were wet to our undies :-( For the next 3 days the weather was warm but we had a light sweater on during the day. Nights are chilly.

Bring it all if you have the room for it. We've needed shorts and jackets in the same week, so we always pack at least 2 pairs of pants, several pairs of shorts and short sleeved shirts, 2 sweatshirts, a light jacket and a heavier jacket (we drive, so we need the heavier jacket when we leave Chicago and as we're nearing Chicago again on the way home). We would usually start the day in shorts/t-shirts with a light jacket, but keep pants and sweatshirts in our car in case we needed them later in the evening.

We went during that time from 2005-2009. Weather was typically good. We definitely needed sweatshirts at times.

The weather can be all over the place and there's no way to tell what it will be like this year. I have friends who went over Thanksgiving one year and they were bundled up in winter coats. They had to buy gloves because their hands were so cold. I've been there the week after Thanksgiving and it rained like it was September but without the steaming temperatures. And on other trips during the same period, it was pleasantly warm and amazingly dry.

Rain - It happens. It's Florida. It's gonna rain at some point. Bring cheap rain ponchos and consider yourself to be lucky if you don't need them.

Clothing -- Dress in layers. Even if the temperature is going to be in the 80's in the afternoon, mornings and nights will be a bit chilly. Check average hi's and low's for your dates and plan accordingly. It doesn't hurt to shove some inexpensive gloves in the pocket of your hoodie.

I live in Florida and always have out shorts, swimsuits and jeans and sweaters from Nov-Mar. It's just really unpredictable.

As others have noted the weather can be variable. According to the weather channel the average high/low for November 23rd is 77/56. But the record high for that day is 88 and the record low is 34. My recommendation is to bring one outfit for each extreme. And while November is typically a fairly dry month bring a poncho just in case.

We went in 2015 about 2 weeks before American Thanksgiving. It was HOT!!! Didn't rain during the day. the coolest day was 26*C!

We were there Thanksgiving day 2013 and it was in the high 30s in the morning...sooo cold!

Two years ago we were at Disney World for a 10 day trip. Day one was in the 30's - all of our pictures for the first seven days included hats, gloves, sweatshirts, sometimes winter jackets. Then, things started to warm up by day 8 and by day 10 (our last day in the parks), it was 90 degrees. We were prepared, and I was so glad every time I saw some poor shivering family shelling out $100's of dollars on sweatshirts and accessories. I would also say don't bother with the forecast. Bring a little of everything just in case.

Definitely bring ponchos, we used them 5 out of the 7 days two years ago. I wear dresses everyday in real life, but still brought them and added tights when it was cooler. Bring a hoodie for the littles. We had so much fun that week, even with the torrential rains at MK one day, but no lines!

We have been that week for the past 4 years and we are going again. Accuweather is currently saying around 80 for highs but it changes daily. We have seen it all from freezing to hot. And sometimes all within the same trip. :) Just be prepared for anything and you should be fine. Check the forecast a few days before. That's the biggest pain for me. I like to pack early, but really can't for November trip. BTW, we have swam at least 1 day the past 2 years and could have probably done more.
