My family might be thinking of moving our Disney vacation up from October 2005 to April 2005. Can anyone tell me about Disney in April? Weather, Crowds? Easter will be in March so we will miss the holiday crowd. The dates we had in mine would be 4/08 to 4/16 or 4/15 to 4/23.

Thanks!:earsboy:

Hi....how many ways can you "perfect.!
Low to mid 80s days, maybe low 60s at night...bring a light jacket to the parks or a sweashirt for after the sun goes down...

Enjoy...Ted

April is when we always go, warm sunny days, no humidity, very little rain. evenings can be a little cool, but when you are from Nova Scotia, just being able to go without mittens is heavenly. the crowds can be heavy, but since its after Easter it may not be too bad. We are going 06-04-05 ot 17-04-05, can hardly wait. At least you can look forward to nice weather when you return, instead of winter.

I would pick the 4/15-4/23 dates. Even though Easter is early it could still be busy in April but the later dates should be better. We have gone the last 2 years in late April- early May and love this time of year. In fact I think the crowds have been lighter than when we have gone in October.

I think that there might be a big correlation with Spring Break - and - crowds in April.

This year, since Easter is so early, many School Districts are having only a day or so for Easter and having their Spring Break on any given week in April. This was apparant on a recent thread titled something like "When is your Spring Break next year"... When Easter is early to mid April, you can count on Spring Break being over right after that... PACKED at Easter and then blissfully uncrowded in late April thru the first week of May. We went to Disney one year during this time and it was GREAT!!! As the one poster said "Perfect"

This coming year I think that there will be Moderate crowds throughout April. I think very LATE April would be the best!

Then, the big 50th Celebration begins on May 5th. We have already planned to go April 30 - May 7th... As we are very lucky with DS having a very late Spring Break which we will take a few days off afterwards. Then they announce the Celebration of the 1/2 Century while we are there... Ugghh!!!!

Dear Wishing on A Star

I have a new question for you. Could you explain more about the 50th celebration? I saw a brief article about it in the Disney magazine. How long will it last? I hope there will be special deals with it.

Thanks
