We won a trip!! We won a trip!!! (well, sort of...it was through our school's auction, and we were the high bidders!!) Nonetheless, we're going to DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so pumped and we just told the kids!! Now, help me! It will be my first time ever staying offsite, and the accomodations are at the Vistana Villas. Tell me I'll like them! Please?? Or am I too spoiled already by onsite?!?!?!

First of all......CONGRATS !!!

Is your stay at the main Vistana on SR 535 or the Vistana Villages (they are sister resorts).
Also, was the auction on someone's timeshare week ? If so, you'll need to find out what section they own in.

The main Vistana is a very large resort (you'll definitely need a rental car). It is maybe 10-15 min from the disney parks. The resort is split into different neighborhoods/sections. The problem with this resort can be that there are some sections that are quite dated and older......while other sections are newer or have just had a major rehab. The main Vistana has 7 pools, 2 full serve restaurants and a couple of quick service food options.

When are you planning on going ? If you did indeed win an auction for the main Vistana, see if you can try and requests the following sections : Cascades or Lakes......followed by the Fountains I. The Cascades are the newest section and the Lakes and Fountains I are either done or almost done their major remodeling. Next, in line, I'd opt for the Fountains II.

Wanted to add........if you won the bid at the Vistana "Villages" (which is closer to International Drive/Sea World area), then that resort is much newer than the main resort and all units are new and modern. I have never stayed at the Villages, so perhaps if this is where you won, someone else can chime in with tips on that resort.

First I would like to stay Congrats!!! We are going to The Villages in two weeks. So far everything i have heard or read has been very positive.Have a great time.
