Sorry it's a little long but I had to share this magical experience that we will never forget.
Just got back a couple hours ago and had to share our dream. We (myself and dd8) arrived at WDW Fri. June 8th and flight got delayed. We were a few minutes late to dinner at CMs because of being delayed, and headed to MK when we got done. We stayed later than planned (about 1 hour of EMHs) that night. We had plans to get up and go to MK at opening for rope drop the next day (Sat.). So got up, still tired from a late night, and headed to MK. I told dd that we should head straight for Splash and Big Thunder after rope drop. We rode Splash first then headed for Big Thunder. We were coming off the ride and at the exit was the dream team.
They told "congratulations, you've just one a YOAMD dream". We followed where they directed us and they put wrist bands on us. They told us that if we chose we could come back that night from 11:30-12:30 after the park closd for an EMH. We were told to be in Tomorrowland before 11:30. We were there about 11pm and a little after that a gentleman came out on the stage they had set up (he was one of the big shots from the YOAMD). He said that we would have to park to ourselves (about 300-400 people total at the most). They had a DJ come out and had a dance party until a few minutes before 11:30. Then the gentleman came out again and brought out Mickey and Minnie. They kicked off the EMH by throwing out pixie dust. It was awesome.
Me and dd headed to Fantasyland because that's her favorite. We walked right onto Pooh, then did Dumbo (which we usually skip because of the line), we headed to Peter Pan (which we had not rode because it had a 40 minute wait and we didn't have a chance to get a FP earlier that day) dd rode in her own ship which she loved. I actually almost teared up on that one because we practically had the ride to ourselves and it was just amazing. Then we headed to IASW. We were in our own boat and the boats at least 2 ahead and 2 behind were empty. We actually stayed on 2 times in a row (dd loves IASW, she knows the entire song). The CM was going to let us stay on another time but dd wanted to ride PP again. We rode it then headed to Dumbo again. We actually got to stay on Dumbo 2 times in a row also. It was the last one we rode. The second time there were 6 people total on the ride.
We headed out after that through the castle which was just amazing. Got the most wonderful pics of dd in front of the castle with no one around. As everyone headed out main street. Mickey, Minnie and the YOAMD guy was up at the top by the railroad telling everyone good-bye.
It had to be the most magical thing I have ever experienced. We were just coming off a ride laughing and enjoying ourselves and surprise there they were (dream team). DD got so excited. There were maybe about 30 people in Fantasyland that night so it was really like having the park all to ourselves. It will be something neither one of us will ever forget. And I will never forget the teary eyed feeling I got on both PP and IASW
