We were charged snack credits for drinks at Aloha Isle

Last week my family all got Dole Whips and either bottled water or diet coke (my dad and his iron stomach, that is a lot of acid!) Anyway, the lady took off two snack credits each instead of one snack and one drink. When Mom protested, the CM said, "It is different here." It was our last day and we obviously all had one credit left that we might not have used anyway. (You do get A LOT of food on DDP.) We just went on and never protested at guest services so I guess we didn't miss it, but has anyone else heard of this?? I think she was misinformed or there was a computer glitch or something. Surely water at Aloha Isle isn't different than it is anywhere else?

Ok, if I'm reading this correctly you each got a dole whip and either bottled water or a fountain drink. According to the guidelines, a snack credit can be used for the dole whip and it is also used for bottled water, soda and other smaller items. I don't believe there is a separate credit just for drinks. The CM did charge 2 snack credits correctly if you got 1 dole whip & 1 bottled water. However, if you asked for a cup of tap water, that should be free.

You get a drink with a Counter Service meal. You do not get a drink with a snack credit - a snack credit can be used for a snack OR a drink. The person did it correctly.

The above posters are correct. A Dole Whip is not considered a counter service meal and you are not entitled to a drink included with it.

In this case, the Dole Whip is a snack, and a bottle of water or Coke is a snack.

As was posted above, you would not have been charged anything for a cup of water.

As others have said, that was correct.

There are no drink credits. Drinks are included with a counter service or table service meal. Drinks purchased separately are a snack credit.
