So off we went to try to conquer
Fantasyland in what was left of our morning.
Our first stop was Cinderella's Carousel. The waiting time was not bad and Beatriz LOVED it!

She was shrieking in excitement the whole time. It was really nice to see. She had been to carousels before but I guess there is something special about knowing these are Cinderella horses.
After such a successful ride we tried to get Fast Passes for
Phillarmagic but thought it was a little odd that even though the attraction was opened the FP machines were not operating.

We just walked over to the Winnie the Pooh ride to secure FP's for that instead. What was not our surprise when we got this:
The FP machine at Winnie the Pooh gave us passes for the Pooh ride AND for Phillarmagic.

I thought that was very cool since I had never heard of "surprise fast passes" before.

YAY!
Then we heard the music of the
Move it, Shake it, Celebrate it! parade and decided to go back to the hub to look at it. I know. We were all over the place that morning but because Beatriz had pretty much slept through all the parades up until that point we thought it was the perfect opportunity for her to catch some parade fun.
Back to the hub:
Trying to reach them:
And since we were right there we decided to wait for the
Dream Along with Mickey show which just happens to be MY favorite Disney show. It brings me great memories from when I visited Magic Kingdom fr the first time with my parents. The show featured different characters back then (Cruela Deville, Chip and Dale...) but the principle remains the same.
Taking it all in:
Joey likes it too:
So after the show we headed back to
Fantasyland and used our FP for Winnie The Pooh. I had never been to this ride and since I have watched "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" dozens of times with Beatriz I really enjoyed how the ride brings the movie to life. Next one was
Phillarmagic and it was also a first for us (the ride was closed during our visit in 2009).
Waiting for the show to start:
I must say that
Phillarmagic became my new favorite attraction of Magic Kingdom. It is highly entertaining and it made me feel like a kid again. I loved everything about it: the plot, the music, the effects... very cool!
From there we went straight to
It's a Small World and there was very little waiting. Beatriz was sleeping in my sling when we rode it in 2009 so it was a "first" for her and she really liked it too. I know people have mixed feelings about this attraction but I love it and do not mind riding it every time. Joey and I always have fun trying to name as many countries as we can during the ride (without disturbing the other guests, of course).
From there our mission was to try and conquer the line of
Dumbo. It was huge but we decided to face it. We waited good 45 minutes and let me tell you it was long. I am so glad they are re imagining this ride increasing its capacity and even adding interactive games while yo wait in line. It is not easy to keep an overexcited child waiting in line in the sun for that long.
There she is playing with her baby Simba:
By the time it was our time to ride it Beatriz was a total mess. She grabbed the little thing that controls how high you want your Dumbo to fly and did not let us "help her" so our Dumbo never really took off off you know what I mean.
When we got out of the line we knew we had had enough of Fantasyland. We all needed a break. But not before an attempt to take a picture with the Dumbo:
I am not sure why we didn't get a good shot of that one.
At least one family picture:

What do you have when you are hot, hot, hot at Magic kingdom???
