We want to do it all over again - minus the trip to the hospital! *COMPLETE*

I still cannot get over your view of the animals outside your room!
That's great that you were able to get some pool time before going to Epcot.
Your chicken flat bread looks yummy!
I'm glad the rain did not ruin your Epcot day. Beatriz's dress is pretty & those pictures of her with Mary Poppins & Jasmine is so cute!!!:cutie:

I've been following your trip report and thought I should say hello. Your daughter is beautiful!

Thank you and :welcome:!

What a lovely way to spend your morning! As always, Beatriz's smile warms my heart. Oh no! Rain!

It was relaxing and lovely indeed! ;) Beatriz' smile is a ray of sunshine in our lives. :)

I absolutely love those "little voice" questions:goodvibes

Aren't they awesome? It made us laugh out loud! :rotfl:

*Friday- May, 28th 2010- World Showcase Part 2*
So at this point it had become clear that our visit to World Showcase had turned into a character hunt. So we hopped to Germany to find Snow White.

And then we went to Mexico which happens to be my other favorite pavillon- yes, I have 3 favorite pavillons. The indoor area probably has one of the coolest themes in all over WDW.

Beatriz was having a blast too:

We took a picture with the mariachis just as we had done in 2009:

And then we took the Mexican ride just like the previous year. Here we are with Jose Carioca, our Brazilian friend:

So by now it was getting close to the time for our meal at Akershus. Finally, a character meal where Beatriz would not be scared of the characters! :dance3:

So I went to the bathroom and changed her into the Snow White costume I had brought from home. No Bipiddi bopiddi boutique for us. ;)

The princess greeting us that day was Belle:

But we also got to meet Aurora:

Snow White again:

Beatriz was glowing of excitement to see all the princesses in one place. She kept looking at the door where the princesses where coming from wondering who else would appear. :cloud9:

The meal was fantastic! I loved the cold buffet and would have been happy if my meal was just that. Everything was fresh and it was a nice change from the typical Disney meals.

As a main dish I had the pork chops and it was cooked to perfection! Full of flavour.

The Norwegian dessert trio:

Akershus was a wonderful surprise. We went there for the princesses but experienced an awesome meal. So much so that Akershus is the only TS we are repeating in our upcoming trip. :rolleyes1

Beatriz seems pretty satisfied with the experience also:

After the meal we decided to call it a day and go back to our hotel. It had been a long day with no nap so it was time to go back to the room and do some packing. :(

Bye, bye Epcot!

I've heard a lot of people say that Akershus is best for breakfast, but dinner sure looks yummy! I love that B got to see so many princesses in one place :) I must say that Ariel is always a disappointment to me in pictures. She was always my favorite princess, although my baby girl is taken with Belle.

THANKS! We never got tired of looking at the animals and this is one of the reasons why I would not have a problem staying at AKL over and over again. ;) The chicken flat brad being another good reason. :laughing:

We will actually try Akershus for breakfast next time. ;) I am against repeating restaurants but we decided to go back since Beatriz enjoyed meeting the princesses so much. Same restaurant but different meals. ;)

I agree about Ariel. I don,t think I ever saw one that I actually liked. I guess it is a ver hard look to reproduce.:confused3

Q

Awwwwww..... Beatriz looks so adorable in her Snow White dress:love:

Akershus looks very good. We are going to try breakfast next trip since the lunch and dinner menus look kind of gross to me, but your dinner actually looks good. We'll probably stick to breakfast since I like getting in the park early, but it is good to know the other meals are good too.

Ariel looks a little scary:eek:

I love that you took pictures with the mariachis again:thumbsup2 Now, you will have to do that every trip.

So with our hearts content we stopped to take a last family picture and headed back to our hotel for a good night of sleep:

Beatriz must have had so much fun in Toontown with the colorful cartoony furniture.

That's a great story about the Laugh Floor- they got that right. She IS the cutest thing ever!

When I was reading that you would go on the Liberty Bell Steamer "next time" I was thinking- there is going to be a next time for you, coming up soon!

Great picture at the castle. I love the colors in the sky.

What a great way to spend your morning. It sounds like you had a blast at the pool and the lunch from Mara looks super yummy! Is that pesto on the flatbread, or some kind of parsley sauce?

I have never noticed the zebra pattern in the patio furniture before.

Glad that you didn't have rain in Epcot- World Showcase is not a great place for a rainy day since everything is so far apart.

I love the O Canada movie with the Martin Short update.

How cute is that picture with Mary Poppins where all you can see is Beatriz under the hat.

Looks like Beatriz had a wonderful meal with the princesses, but whoever did the makeup that morning for them should be fired.

It looks like ya'll are having a great time in Epcot.

We loved Akershus when we ate there. I think it's great how free picture is included with this meal. We will definitely be going back there too.

Beatriz looks so adorable in her Snow White costume & I love her shoes!

LOVE your TR- I am getting here a bit late but I just finished! Your little girl is so adorable! You got a million amazing pictures but I think my favorite one is her with Nemo- so cute!!

I have to say your title is what hooked me- I am an RN and during our recent trip I told my DBF several times that I wanted to work at Disney in their first aid stations but never had reason to see one of them! I think I could hand out a few princess bandaids as my job!!

I am interested to learn more about your dinner at the Beach Club.. a buffet with crab legs?! We went to the Captain's Grille for dinner and had crab legs as a sitdown dinner there but I didn't realize there was another place to get Crab in a buffet on the DDP. "Next Time!!" :rotfl2:

Thanks! She really loved dressing up as a princess. We are already working on her dress for our upcoming trip. I want to dress her as Cinderella but she is obsessed with Rapunzel right now so... we will see.

I was a little intimidated by the menu at Arkershus also but I tell you there is nothing to worry about! Everything was delicious and I highly recommend it to anyone. Great value!

I was a bit disappointed with the look of the princesses also but, trust me, Beatriz couldn't tell! :laughing:

And I will definitely look for the Mariachis again... specially since we will be eating at San Angel Inn. ;)

I hear you about the make up! :lmao: A good thing Beatriz cannot really notice these things yet...

The Mary Poppins picture is one of my favorites! It was very cute like all of them just came down to Beatriz' level so they could talk to her. Can you tell she was having a blast?

I Do not think the sauce over the flat bread at Mara was pesto. Just don't remember 100% what it was but it was not as "garlicy" as pesto can sometimes be. I would definitely recommend a trip to Mara to anyone who wants to go tour AKL.

Thanks! I bought her those shoes in Brazil and they always get compliments everywhere we go. Too bad they do not fit her anymore. :(

Arkershus' meal was great! We went there for the princesses but ended up having one of the tastiest meals of our trip and the free picture with the princess was such an added bonus. Even though repeating TS restaurants is against my philosophy we will be doing Akershus again on our next trip. We will try the breakfast this time. :thumbsup2

Hello and :welcome:
I am sure the nursing position is a very coveted one. It sounds like a great job. If I were you I would just go in the first aid station next time and try to talk to the person in charge. Who knows...

The one thing the lady told me was that in the past Disney used to do a lot more of the first aid procedures in the park (stitching, prescribing etc) but I guess for liability reason they now mostly prefer to transfer people to nearby hospitals which was what they did to me.

Oh dear... Cape May Cafe is a must do if you are into the crab legs. Everything was delicious. I have heard that Captain Grill is really nice too but you can fully enjoy crab legs and other sea food at Cape May for only one sit down credit. If you are planning to go back any time soon I would just try to contact them before booking to make sure they haven't changed anything in their menu.

*May, 29th 2010- Departure Day*

So we woke up on Saturday morning with that melancholic feeling we always have at the end of a vacation. Beatriz had refused to remove her dress the night before and she still woke up looking like this:

197455_1905809121912_1142283436_2291928_4562909_n.jpg

We took our showers, finished packing and headed to Mara again for our breakfast. We still had CS credits to use and we had reserved them for this morning. I do not remember what exactly what I had at Mara but I remember it was a lot of food. We also used the remaining snack credits to grab a couple of stuff to eat "on the road".

After our breakfast we headed back to the room to brush our teeth and get ready to head out. Unfortunately since we are in an international flight we could not check- in from our hotel so we had to make sure our luggage was coming with us in the bus.

As we are seating outside waiting for our ME someone recognized Beatriz from the pictures on my PTR and came to talk to me. It was a fellow DISer along with her family who said I was missed at the Dismeet the day before. :flower3: They were staying at Kidani and it was their last day also. They had come to Jambo for breakfast at Boma and they were getting ready to leave too. Just as we were starting to chit chat our bus arrived and we had to rush our good byes. :(

Last pictures in the bus on our way to the airport:

The flight back home was uneventful and before you know it we were back to reality.... waiting impatiently for our "next time"!

*Review*
May 22nd- May 29th 2010;
7 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge (rented DVC points);
5 day Magic Your way Ticket - NO hopper pass, NO water park.

*Final Thoughts*
What a wonderful trip it was! I really enjoyed spending time as a family of three. Since both of our families do not live nearby we spend a lot of our "off time" visiting with them so it was wonderful to have some time for just us three. We needed that! ;)
I think my very favorite thing about this trip is that now Joey finally "gets it" and I do not even need to beg him to go back. He was actually the one to offer to go back next May (more on that later)!!

*Highs*:
-Spending precious time with my sister and brother in law;
-The weather cooperated and we had very little rain;
-Beautiful sunny days that allowed us to enjoy the pools;
-Dinning plan (not sure if I will ever be able to do without it);
-Beatriz interacting with the princesses.

*Lows*:
- Crowd levels. Got really spoiled with my previous visits in the Winter and did not foresee kids being off from school so early in May.
- Not being able to see any of the night shows (except Illuminations on our first park day).

*Favorite Table Service experiences* :
(from favorite to least favorite)
1- Sanaa;
2- Arkershus;
3- Cape May;
4- O'hana;
5-Boma;
6- Coral Reef;
7- Crystal Palace.

*Favorite Counter Service*:
(from favorite to least favorite)
1- Flame Tree BBQ;
2- Starring Rolls;
3-Earl of Sandwich;
4-Pecos Bill;
5-Mara;
6- Yakitori House

*Things we would do differently*:
Well, I will leave this one for my next post when I will tell you all bout the plans for our next visit!

What a great trip and fantastic trip report!!! I am so glad that you will be going again soon. Super summary at the end!

I enjoyed sharing your trip with your family and your adorable daughter!

Dee

Here is the review of our visit to the Cape May Seafood Buffet in July from my trip report. Lots of pictures. It was one of my favorite meals (Boma was tops, though). We ate at Captain's Grille on our first night and liked that, too.

Sorry to jack your thread, Queila!!!

:sad: Oh no, the last day.

Thankfully, you have another trip coming up pretty soon:thumbsup2

I can't wait to hear about all of you plans for May.

I can't believe Crystal Palace was your least favorite table service meal.:scared1: I love it!

Awesome trip report! You guys are so lucky to be going back this May!
Wish Roger and I were coming with you too! But, our day will come when we'll have our MegaTrip all together!

You left me a comment!!! :dance3:Thank you.

I love you guys and I am sure we will be able to do our dream trip together one day. ;) This time around you will stay back and take care of the little bun in the oven. :love:

See you tonight.

I finally finished reading your TR! I wish I had time to comment on everything, but DD is demanding my attention. I loved all the adorable pics of Beatriz! She is such a little doll. You have a beautiful family! Glad you all had an amazing trip and YAY for your upcoming one! Can't wait to hear more about those plans!!

Thank you for sharing your fun time at Disney with us. I found your TR yesterday and starting reading it while I was at work. I was able to finish it up today. I really enjoyed it. You have a beauttiful little girl, and a wonderful family. How exciting was it that your sister and her husband were able to join you in "The World" for a couple of days.

We are getting very excited about our trip this coming May. We love going to Disney. And some of our extended family will be there this time and we are plannning on spending some time with them there at the magic Kingdom and possibly doing a scavenger hunt.. So ready for some fun in the sun at Disney..:banana:
