I may be in the minority on this, but here is my observation from the 8/23 cruise......
My wife and I went to see the DP shows twice on this cruise, once by ourselves and once with my sister-in-law and her husband. These were the later shows, starting at 10 or so at night.
Both times there were only between 12 -15 people in Off Beat. Each time we walked in, it felt like we were intruding on a private party. We sat down, ordered drinks and watched the show.
No question, Fidelio & Anton are both talented and gifted piano players. However, at times you could literally hear a pin drop in the room. At other times, Fidelio could be abrasive, if not positively rude to some of the guests. Now maybe this is part of the show, or he had built up a rapport with these guests, but it was painful to watch.
It could also be that my expectations were not realistic. I have been to Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk several times. I expected DP to me a similar type of show. I know if it had been more like Jellyrolls, I would have enjoyed it more.
