Our Friends think we are crazy because we love Disney so much and HAVE TO GO for our yearly vacation. How can you spend so much money? I do not like CROWDS! We hear alot of this from them but we do not care. We love Disney World and all things Disney and will go for as long as we can.

Our planning for this trip started out small but has ballooned into a King Kong of a trip.

It all started out with that deal Buy 4 get 3 Free! This was so exciting for us.
Should we stay in a deluxe? Perhaps, the Poly. Or Should we stay at a moderate and have more spending money? What should happen.

So in Sept/Oct 2008 when they finally posted the deal and began opening the dates for 2009 on the Disney Travel Website. It was amazing.

I have a daycare in my home. I was checking out Disneyworld.com and low and behold. My fingers started moving on their own, suddenly I had booked an 11 day/ 10 night stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort and with the money I saved from the Deal! I booked a one night stay and the Beach Club.

I freaked out. I called my DH and said, You will not believe what I just did! He said, in a voice of fear! What did you Do? I said, I booked our vacation! He said this is great! I said, No, You have to hear the details! So I just blurted it out and closed my eyes waiting for the: what did you do!, to come!
Instead, I got that is great! This happened the same way when I booked the Princess Tea Party at GF for DD and myself last year and I confessed to DH the price! Yikes! But I can say it was well worth it!

If I can ever finish our TR from 2008, I will have to tell all about this day! It was a truly magical experience for DD!

Up Next: Official Dates and tentative Plans!

Woo hoo!! I'm first!! Your princess is adorable as is your son!! Looking forward to more!

Our Dates are from Friday May 29 to Friday June 12, 2009

Since we are driving, we have to have 2 full weeks.

So we booked a one night stay at Beach Club Resort with a water/pool view room for Sunday, May 31.

Our Package actually begins on Monday, June 1st and ends on June 11th - the dreaded head back to reality day! :sad2:

We did get Park Hopper with Water Parks and more and the Disney Dining Plan with our package.

In the past, we have been spoiled with advance reservations and knowing the park hours and extra magic hours.

But because of the new Disney system, we have been going crazy wanting to make our ADR's and to find our EMHs and Park Hours.

It is getting closer to 90 days and we can't wait but we have no choice in the matter. :scared:

Here are our choice of Table Service Meals:

We have a breakfast for CRT already booked but we are thinking of changing it to Hoop De Doo! We had breakfast at CRT in June 2006 and really enjoyed it but we are up to try something different!

Here are our TS Choices:

Breakfast CRT or Hoop De Doo?

1900 Park Fare Breakfast with Mary Poppins! :)

Tusker House Breakfast w/ Donald and Friends

Kona Cafe Breakfast

Le Cellier - Lunch
Hollywood & Vine - Lunch

Dinner:

Liberty Tree Tavern - we really enjoy the dinner - we will miss Chip & Dale!
Ohana
50's Prime Time

My family are a bunch of plain steak and potatoes eaters! Well actually that is only DH and DD, DS and myself prefer a variety of foods. So ADRs are always a difficult process. I have to pull up menus and think, Will DH and DD eat here? It is really a pain to have picky eaters.

I took them to Boma for Dinner during our 2008 trip and you would have thought I starved them! They could not find anything to eat! What in the world. I enjoyed Boma but they refuse to go back. :sad2:

So we get to make ADRs on March 3! :cheer2:

Woo hoo!! I'm first!! Your princess is adorable as is your son!! Looking forward to more!

Thanks for joining me, all I can say is that the only people who understand my um..addiction to Disney is other Disney Nuts!

I have plans but DH likes EMH, so I am sort of waiting for the park/EMH hours to be posted for June before I completely tell everyone my plans but I do not think I can resist.

I really hope they post June park hours on March 1st, so that I have time to adjust ADR's before March 3rd.

Ahhh.....I just want to panic

We are leaving our home on Friday May 29 at 4:30 pm, I run a daycare so it is difficult to get time off. Since, I am already take a full two weeks off, my dear sweet mom, said she would come watch my daycare children after work so we could leave at 4:30pm. She is also watching our furry babies.

This is Honey our Golden Retriever:

This is our very old Cat, Jewels:

We are driving to Tennesse on this night and staying overnight.

Then next morning we are getting up to drive the rest of the way to Orlando. We should arrive in the late afternoon at downtown disney. We are staying in an off property hotel for the night. We plan to visit DTD, do a little shopping.

I was thinking we could do some shopping at:
World of Disney Store (one of my favorites)
Disney's Days of Christmas (I want to buy some Christmas favors and have a family ornament made
Lego Imagination Center - DS loves to build his Lego's
The new T-shirt Shop
and of course, Have T-Rex for Dinner :)

Now, I have to explain a little here, in the past most of our disney vacations have been sort of girl oriented. I started to realize this after our 2006 vacation that DS was not getting as much boy attention.

So Vacation 2008 I did a special Mommy/ Daughter - Daddy/ Son day.

DD and I went to BBB in MK, had her hair done in a princess style - had a photo shoot done after at Town Square Exposition Hall and then we went to have Tea at the The Perfectly Princess Tea Party. In my opinon, every mother should do this with their daughters at least once! That night, everyone met for dinner with Cinderella at 1900 park fare. It was a special princess day! :lovestruc

Here are a few pictures of DD's day:

Here she is getting her hair done, she also had make up and nails.

Here is the finished look! :lovestruc

Photo Shoot :cheer2:

So to make my very long story short, not happening with me at times.

DS & DH, went to do boy things - They went to DTD and did Disney Quest for hours! That was special to them.

This Vacation 2009, we decided to stay at CBR in a pirate room because DS really, really wanted to. We figured that if the walk is too long, you are going to laugh at this, we are going to drive to Old Port Royale Centertown for refills, eating, and main pool usage! :rotfl2: Your feet get very tired and painful at The World!

More to come.....have to be a mommy for a while

IMG_2728.jpg

This is Miss Rosebud, she tells the story of Princess Aurora and herself. :lovestruc

IMG_2729.jpg

This is our lovely tea table for two or should I say Three :thumbsup2

Now DD is a bit of a fly off the handle kind of girl :rotfl: She thought that she had tea in her cup like I did, you see, she does not like tea and loudly said, I don't like TEA! , but when I told her it was apple juice, I got this:
IMG_2735.jpg

And finally, we meet Princess Aurora, the highlight of her Tea Party.

IMG_2748.jpg

The food was very good, DD only likes Peanut butter heart shaped sandwiches and not PB&J sandwiches, so I requested peanut butter heart shaped sandwiches and they said it would be fixed to her majesty specifications and it was. Very nice experience and When DD went to bed that night, very tired, she says, Mommy! That was my best day ever! I have not heard that since!

Wow, your DD looks really wonderful. Looking forward in hearing more from you.

Have a nice day. :)

Thank you so much! She is my sweet, sweet girl with claws, of course. ;)

Thank you for joining me for this planning ride.

Tina :cheer2:

DD says she does not want to stay in a pirate room because it is too boy like.

Hmm...I told her that we have to let Bubba (DS) have something on vacation he likes. :lovestruc

She says, Bubba gets Stitch's Great Escape! She does not like this show and it scares her, DS thinks it is awesome!

Yay! The Princess has spoken.

Too Bad! I say, We are staying in the pirate room, it is already paid for!

What is a mother to do? Promise BBB at MK again and another photo shoot!

Our 11days/10nights package starts the next day.

More to come.....

I made our ADR for Spoodles this morning because of our One Night At Beach Club. Yay! :thumbsup2

So now, I have to wait until tomorrow for the actual ADR's for our package that starts on June 1st :sad2:

It took me 1 hour to get through for Spoodles. :rolleyes1

DH and myself got on the phone at 7am this morning. It took us 55 minutes to get through.

We finally got through to a nice CM named Jonas.

We got all the times and ADR's we wanted, it did take another 50 minutes to complete after we were connected but that is over and we are ready!

Here is the final list:

Day 1 – Liberty Tree Tavern – Dinner - We are going to miss Chip & Dale at this dinner but our family really enjoys the Thanksgiving style food here.

Day 2 – BBB at MK in the morning for DD, Since we are having Tea later in the afternoon, she can sort of relive last year's Princess Tea Party w/o Princess Aurora.

Day 2 – Garden View Tea Room for Two - DD and I want to have tea again but we are not going to The Princess tea party this time.

Day 3 – Ohana’s Dinner - We have a late ADR and Wishes starts at 9pm hopefully we will get a good table and be able to see it!

Day 4 – Breakfast 1900 Park Fare - (The Supercalifragilistic Breakfast is hosted by Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter and friends.)

Day 4 - Behind the Seeds Tour (Epcot) This was $60 total for 3 adults (DS is 12 and considered an adult) and one child under 9. I think DS will really enjoy this. DS is currently taking testing in middle school to take Honors Science, Math, and Social Studies. So he will really be into the Behind the Seeds Tour :thumbsup2

• The tour is an up close look at four greenhouses that are part of the "Living with the Land" attraction. Behind the Seeds is led by a member of the Epcot Science Team. Highlights include:

• Sensory challenge with herbs/spices
• Lady bug release
• Vegetable taste test
• Fish feeding
• Sprouting a seed in your pocket to bring home
• Close look at the alligators
• Latest gardening tips
• Seeing how exotic crops and gigantic fruits and veggies are grown without soil

Day 5 – Le Cellier Lunch - DH really wanted Dinner here but I suggested Lunch. I would really like to try some of the sandwiches they offer for lunch and DH & DS can still get a steak, DD does not care as long as they have something for her Miss Princess Picky Food Self to eat! :cutie:

Day 6 – Hoop De Doo Musical Revue

Day 7 – Hollywood & Vine Lunch Buffet

Day8 – 50’s Prime Time Dinner

Day 9 – Donald’s Safari Breakfast at Tusker House

Day 10 – Breakfast Kona Café

Wow, now I can go on more about our plans and packing fun. :yay:

Hi there!

Your plans look great! You are going to have so much fun! I had CBR booked at one point. I totally thought my DS would get a kick out of it, but no, he wasn't really interested. I was kind of bummed. I thought it looked like fun! I'm looking forward to hearing about your experience there!

hi. Your daughter is beautiful. i am kicking myself for not buying the photopass of when my daughter did the BBB for her bday in 06. especially since I lost the pics that I took. :sad1:

Your trip sounds great. :cool1: Some of our dates overlap.

waiting for more... popcorn::

Thanks so much! DS really wanted pirate room. We are really looking forward to it. Did you say TR, Yay! There will be one!

I think she is beautiful too :lovestruc She is my Princess, and Thank you so much! You can always do BBB again. After BBB, if you go to Town Square Exposition Hall, they do a photo shoot for free. It is great! But I also bought a small package while I was there. I could not resist, along with Photo Pass. This was the first time we have done Photo Pass and it is a wonderful investment for us. We do not get a lot of photos as a family and photo pass is wonderful for this purpose and worth every penny to us.

I will check out you PTR popcorn::

PTR - Day 1 - Magic Kingdom

We have learned that Magic Kingdom will always be the first park we visit. It is our favorite park.

Magic Kingdom Opens at 9am and closes at 10pm on this night according to Disney schedule.
We are going to try to stay at the park all day, we would like to view Spectromagic Parade at 9pm and Wishes Nighttime Spectacular at 10pm.

Now, I like to make plans but I do not have to stick to them. I never have because life comes at you fast  and then everything changes! But just the idea of planning a day comforts my OCD tendencies.

We would like to arrive in time to watch Magic Kingdom morning Opening Ceremony, you know see the train arrive with the characters on it and hear that famous song. (I agree with others, I wish I could insert music) ;) Anyhoo, we got to see this in 2006 and missed it in 2008, so we would like to see it again on this trip.

We plan to eat breakfast at The Main Street Bakery, that Ham & Cheese yummy croissant, I have been dreaming about it. Here is a photo:
IMG_2365.jpg

DH & DD have been dreaming about this Cinnamon Roll

IMG_2364.jpg

And DS, had a wonderful Crustable PB & J sandwich that he still talks about. He says that they do not taste the same unless they are at Disney World. :confused3

Since, we really enjoyed Photo Pass we plan on taking as many Photo Pass Pictures as we can so what better way to start than first thing on Main Street, we will also need a new photo pass card. :thumbsup2

After we eat, we plan to head to Peter Pan Flights. This is one of our favorite rides. We will get a FP and wait in line to ride if the wait is not too long. Then, we plan to head to PhilharMagic and It's a small world.

Does anyone know when Ariel's Grotto opens? I want to get DD a few picture with Ariel.

Then we are going to hit a few more favorites: Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Snow White Scary Adventures.

According to the Offical Magic Kingdom scedule they have showing of Dream along with Mickey all day, so we plan to pop over and see this cute show.

By this time, I am estimating it will possibly be lunch time or light snack time. So perhaps, a dole whip or Peco's Bill or Cosmic Ray's?

Next, we are off to Tomorrowland.

The kids really enjoy Tomorrowland Indy Speedway, so they will get in line with DH and I am going to get FP for Buzz Lightyear and then take photos of my family in the race cars from the look out bridge.

Next is Monsters Inc., Carousel of Progress & Astro Orbiter.

Then, send the boys to Stitch's Great Escape. DD does not like this ride so we plan to get FP for BTMRR and do some shopping.

Hopefully, we can visit BTMRR and 999 Happy Haunts before dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern.

DH would also like to get POC in on this day, so that may come into play also.

Now, I know this is alot to do and if we do not get it all in. We can get it in on another Magic Kingdom Day!

That ends.....DAY 1....see you next time with plans for DAY 2! :woohoo:

First day sounds great! :thumbsup2 Ya know, we have never stayed in a park all day. We always either leave early, come late, or take a break in the afternoon.
