For those who wondered the dates we are here. It is 3/16/01 - 3/21/01.

Yesterday was the most magical day ever! We had overslept a little longer than planned. Guess we were catching up from driving all night Friday night. We finally got our acts together and made it to Magic Kingdom. We had the threats of rain hanging above so we didn't know how the day would go. The park was pretty crowded, but we could handle it. We took our stroll down mainstreet and got so excited to see the castle once again. Something about that first glimpse of the castle that gives me goosebumps! We headed straight for toon town to see Mickey, but the line was over an hour. We decided to ride the Barnstormer ride. Carson is not into anything scary, but decided he could take it since the other little kids were in line to ride as well. Well, I don't think I have ever laughed so hard! His face was absolutely priceless during the ride. I didn't mean to laugh at him being scared, but I just have never seen such a look of shock on him before. We got it all on videotape. He claims he will never ride that ride again! Next we headed towards Adventure Land. It was really getting cold out and we had on shorts and sweatshirts. We saw the Lion King show and warmed up. We decided to wait on the rides over here because the lines were so long. We crossed over the park and headed to Buzz Lightyear Spin. Our favorite! We rode and had a blast! We did a little shopping as we walked the park and then had lunch. After eating we decided we were too cold and better head back to the room to change into warmer clothes. I was not going to miss coming back at night! It was either that or to spend a fortune buying warmer clothes in Magic Kingdom. We went back to the room, got changed, had some hot coffee and then went back out to the park. Once there we rode the Jungle Adventure Boat ride and then the rain hit. Luckily we had purchased ponchos at Downtown Disney the night before. We put them on and then were thrilled to see a lot of the park had cleared out. The lines were about half the size of before. Yeah! We rode a bunch of rides and had a blast!

We then had dinner and I started getting down that we hadn't seen any characters. We were getting close to time for fireworks too and I was not going to miss Tinkerbell flying off the castle! We ran out of the restaurant with food in hand just in time to see her! Seeing Tinkerbell's flight is my favorite thing at Disney! We watched the fireworks and then decided to take a stab at seeing if we could get in to see Mickey! WHAT LUCK! He was still there and we were first in line. There were a kids coming in behind us. The CM said it was time for Mickey to wrap up the evening and asked if we would walk with him to his front porch to close out the night. We said sure! He decided to walk with a child and took my son's hand! They walked all the way through the lines and the house with the other kids following. It was the CUTEST thing I have ever seen! It looked like a commercial! My son and Mickey were swinging their hands as they walked. I think this was the most magical site ever for my little one and one I will never forget! Thanks Mickey!

We wrapped up the evening shopping and headed back to the hotel. What a night! We have decided to just bum around today (Monday) because the storms are supposed to get bad today! I could leave here happy today, but I am glad we get more time at Disney

storms hold off for you.....thanks again :)
