And decided that with the prices of rental cars coming down drastically that we aren't going to be using the shuttle to / from the airport. We have managed to secure a rental car that originally was quoted I believe around $500 + for $376 AND that is a UPGRADED car to a Intermediate SUV compared to the full size we were pricing before.

Now since we'll be getting there around 10 a.m. or so we will be able to do something else rather than have to take the shuttle / luggage to hotel and then get the rental car company to pick us up to get the car, etc.

It is only costing us about $80 more than it would have using the shuttle to / from airport to get to the cheaper rental car location. Best part is that it is actually cheaper to get it at the aiport rather then get the upgraded car closer to the hotel.

Now of course I will still stalk the prices to see if it comes down any more but at least it's locked in at this price FOR NOW lol

Wow, that's still sounds expensive though I admit we haven't rented a car from MCO in a few years. Do you have to have a car? For that much extra you could just stay onsite & use ME.

Do you happen to have a Costco membership? They tend to have good rates less than 30 days out. Prices sometimes continue to drop up until the day before the rental begins. Mid May is about $208 after taxes for a full size.

I just got a standard car on Hotwire for $17.95/day during Memorial Day weekend and the following week. Love that Hotwire!:goodvibes
