We survived Hurricane IAN !!!
- No power loss.
- No house damage.
- No flooding.
- No problem.
- Disney pays employees to voluntarily stay and "Ride Out" hurricanes to assist guests at WDW resorts.
- We have not heard from any of them, so we do not know how well resorts survived, let alone the parks.
- The scenes on the news showed the Orlando area near WDW-Universal-SeaWorld were hit hard with hurricane winds and rain.
- We are 20-minutes West of WDW and the hurricane pretty much went below us at the very last minute.
- All forecasts right up until about 3-hours before time, had us as a direct hit from the storm.
- Thankfully, Hurricane IAN changed course several times over the past 20-hours and we just had rain and wind.
