HECK YA!!!!

Lady, you just had one of Jay's favorite all-time drinks ... coffee and kahlua! Or, as I like to call it ... coffee flavored coffee.

Thanks for reading ... glad you're enjoying it so far. And far is the optimum word since we have so much more to share with everyone! :thumbsup2

BTW, Mel dear ... did you notice that one of your bouncie Mickeys is out of step with the others? :confused3

It's weird how my alcohol and you, BENDY, are so closely related! I rarely ever drink but last night we were invited to a birthday party at a pumpkin patch. For some reason I cannot explain (other than I must have been channeling Jay's and your smarts...) I stopped to get taco bell and next to it was a liquer store and I ran in and bought two little tiny Kahlua's. Sure enough at the pumpkin patch there was a $1.50 coffee stand just WAITING for me there! Mmmm GOOD! I'm sorry but 35 10-year old boys and a cold evening in a corn maze call for a kick of Kahlua! CAN I GET A HECK YA? :rotfl2:

It cracked me up to come here and see we were on the same page.

Great start!

You guys cracked me up with the mini bottles of booze in your carryon! I'm with you though-I refuse to pay those airline prices for their drinks and snacks! I'm going to be stealing your booze smuggling idea for our Christmas trip to Disney. Your one slick chick! ;)

I no longer fly without my own stash ... I consider it part of our survival kit. And I wouldn't be surprised if AA started charging people to disembark the plane once it arrives at the gate.

So for a moment, I was wondering how Alcoholics Anonymous would know about your stash...and why they would have any authority over an air terminal.
:confused3
But I'm with ya now. :lmao:

Those sandwiches are making me hungry.

What can I eat right now that is low fat, low calorie, and high in fiber and nutrients that would have the same carby mouth feel and satisfyingly stomach stuffing effect of one of those nice bready sandwiches???

As I get older I find myself getting more and more "sneaky" about things like this. ;)

I actually had three small bottles tucked into my purse for the dinner we had at Blue Zoo with Michelle and her hubby and Lori ... but when the server commented on them I was too chicken to actually open them up at the table. I did give the cognac to Lori to enjoy so I hope it was good!

Thanks for reading along so far!

Oh, you kill me! When I read my post I thought that too; AA = Alcoholics Anonymous. :lmao: I guess I can't fault anyone else for thinking that, given how much Jay and I like to drink on vacation.

As for your sandwedge options right now ... ummmm, how about tuna fish? That's always tasty and high in protein and low in fat. :thumbsup2

OMG that is funny

Whole wheat pizza dough from Trader Joes... take it home, roll it yourself, add spinich, BBQ sauce, and white meat (already cooked) chicken pieces... cilantro, green or red onion, and sprinkle on some ground flax! Top it with a LIGHT sprinkle of your favorite low-fat white type cheese and bake it up. It's also pretty nice to put some grilled pineapple on it when it's done cooking.

Brenda,
I just love my outta step pumpkin. It makes me so happy! :rotfl:

Great idea taking those little bottles on your flight. :goodvibes Since my flight is at 6am I'll just take a few to save for relaxing at night in a hammock at CBR. ;) I'm going down this trip with my DD21 and she is excited to have a drink at the world.

Cant wait for your next installment. :)

oh, Brenda...I am going to have to live vicariously thru your reviews, we are cancelling our trip that was supposed to start on Wednesday b/c hubby isn't really able to walk :( Hopefully we can reschedule soon!
You definitely have me intrigued by some of your teasers, and whenever I read sandwedge, it reminds me of Johnny Dangerously for some reason, oh wait, I remember the reason but don't think it's very DIS board friendly!
Keep up the great work! :)

What no Roast Beef smoothie?

Earl's sounds good. I'm with you......I like my sadwich cold.

Of late, I have noticed an interesting new trend on the restaurant boards ...

In the spirit of bandwagon jumpery and tongue-in-cheek fun pokery I would like to lay down the "rules" for this thread. Failure to abide by these rules will result in a visit from Jasper and his trusty paddle:

Da Rulz:

1) Taking these reviews too seriously ... that's a paddling.
2) Thinking that your opinion or comment isn't welcome here ... that's a paddling.
3) Not licking your monitor when a particularly tasty piece of food porn is posted ... that's a paddling.
4) Staring in slack-jawed amazement at my upper arm flab ... that's a paddling.
5) Paddling this food canoe without a healthy sense of humor ... oh, you'd better believe that's a paddling!

*Rulz subject to arbitrary change depending on the direction of the wind, the hormonal fluctuations of your devoted author, and the outcome of the 2008 Presidential election.*

In my family, we call it cudding--rhymes with pudding.:rotfl:

Oh to be 21 and headed for WDW ... be sure to get her a Grand Marnier slushie in France if you have a chance! :thumbsup2

So sorry to hear about your canceled trip ... that's a bummer. Hopefully you'll get to reschedule soon. :goodvibes Thanks for reading and I hope the teasers all pan out as promised! ;)

BTW ... Johnny Dangerously is one of my favorite fargin movies!

What no Roast Beef smoothie?

Bwaaaahahahaaa! You're awesome for remembering that! We wanted to go back and stage a picture under the sign but we never found the right time to do it. The first thing we said as walked into the place was, "Mmmmm, hot roast beef smoothie!" :lmao:

Earl's sounds good. I'm with you......I like my sadwich cold.

Hiya Winkers! I'll take 'em cold any day. :thumbsup2

Gotcha! :thumbsup2

Lovin the trippie, sistah! Keep it coming!:yay:

Thanks for reading, lady! :goodvibes

I put the Earl of Sandwich down on my list to try at DTD. Everytime someone posts a picture of their sandwich I drool all over my keyboard. I like certain sandwiches hot but not all. Both of yours looked very tasty. I'm actually surprised they let you bring your on bottles of booze on the plane (or did you have to "hide" it). I am definately remembering the snack thing though for our plane ride next year with three kids. We'll go broke even before we get to WDW.

Nice Sandwedge!!! I really like warm (panini like) sandwedges.... with melty cheese...mmmmmm! ;)

I don't know... I'd consider having a little carry on (booze) in my 2 qt bag... if only it wasn't just DS and I going... though, I may have to choke down a Grand Marnier slushie :rolleyes1 .... and a frozen margarita (where to get a good one???)

Can't wait til the next installment... :thumbsup2

Ok - 2 questions!

1) was your DH's chicken on his sandwich like a whole breast or strips or like deli chicken?
2) how do you get through security with the alcohol? I haven't flown since they instituted the 3oz rules. I am assuming I just put my 3 faves in a clear plastic bag and present it when we go through?

Loving your report so far!!

Hey there, hi there, ho there! The fun and yumminess have begun! My first question is: do we get 2 qt. bags now instead of 1 qt.? When did I miss this? And I know you didn't eat those nuts in that picture!

We are so opposite on the sandwiches; hot not cold, and spicy not plain!

And that's why my two-quart baggie of prescription medications also included this:

Alcohol: The Cause of and Solution to all of Life's Problems!

Mmmmm, miniature vodka and single malt scotch samplers ... let the vacation hilarity begin!

Whoa... what an idea...... :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Well you've opened the floodgates with the mini-bottles!! Airport security from coast to coast ought to be prepared for the influx of WDW travelers with ziplocs full of their own libations :dance3: Good times will be had by all ;)
