Oh my goodness, Brenda. Not only were on vacation at the same time, but the last part of ours we were in the Grandstand section at SSR! :rotfl: How did we NOT see each other this time??

YUM! We have a newfound love of Earl from our last trip. The veggie sandwiches were tasty!

Yea Brenda and Jay! :cool1: You get 4 thumbs up.. two for the review and two giant ones for getting mini sluggers on at American Airlines! By the way ..they will be charging for air with oxygen by Christmas!

Off to a great start Brenda.

My favorite section at SSR is the Grandstand. Not too far from the Carriage House and very close to that pool bar that is never crowded. I'm dreaming of a Sunken Treasure now.

Hey Brenda! For some reason you popped into my mind today so I went looking to see if you had any trip reports going...and I was not disappointed! Happy belated birthday by the way!

Your sandwedges from Earl look really good. We ate there last year and loved it!

Denise

Great start! I haven't eaten at the Earl of Sandwich in a long time. Based upon all the good reviews, I will have to find some time maybe during my December trip to try it again.

Those sandwiches look soooo good! I've never eaten there, but might have to consider it for our next trip.

Hey lady,

Great start. I am still at Disney, but will try and keep up. So glad you two had a wonderful time.

Thanks for leaving us some food. ;)

Thanks for the links on the front page! It made it easy to catch up and now I'm ready to start drooling :goodvibes

We really enjoyed Earl of Sandwich too. I got Le Frenchy, which has since been taken off the menu, so I'm glad I got it. Great drinks on the plane!! I'll have to remember that for next time I'm flying! Considering that is going to be going across the pond with a mass of high school kids who I have forbidden, under penalty of death, from drinking anything that remotely looks like alcohol, I think I'll be needing a little something something to ensure my sanity for 10 days! :rotfl:

Great start! My DH saw the pics of the alcohol lined-up and being consumed on the plane and said "Now that's my kinda people". To which I said "Dear this is the Brenda & Jay I've been talking about". He gave me a :thumbsup2 when I told him our '09 trip was the one when we hope to meet you guys!!;)

Great start Bendy :goodvibes

We did EOS at Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino on Tuesday and I had the Ham & Swiss too :thumbsup2

Looking forward to more ::yes::

LOVE those itty bitty bottles on the plane- you are always on top of it, Bendy!!!!:thumbsup2

WOW! Thanks for all the responses ... you guys are great!

The first chapter right before bed! What lovely dreams I will have!

I wish I had some dessert pictures to help you along, but those are in the next billion posts. ;)

D'OH! Next time we're just going to have to set something up in advance. Is that too weird, though, that we were in the same section of the resort? I was sorry to read that your trip ended on a sickie note - I hope you and your DH are feeling better now. :goodvibes

I have to admit it was much tastier than I thought it would be ... and it only took us three or four trips to finally eat lunch here!

Yea Brenda and Jay! :cool1: You get 4 thumbs up.. two for the review and two giant ones for getting mini sluggers on at American Airlines! By the way ..they will be charging for air with oxygen by Christmas!

:lmao: I no longer fly without my own stash ... I consider it part of our survival kit. And I wouldn't be surprised if AA started charging people to disembark the plane once it arrives at the gate.

Off to a great start Brenda.

Thanks! We really enjoyed that pool - it was never too crowded and they serve a mean Grand Margarita there which really hit the spot ... on several different days!

Denise! Hi there!! Thanks for joining the newest batch of madness and have a great cruise because I see from your signature that you and your family are leaving soon!

Great start! I haven't eaten at the Earl of Sandwich in a long time. Based upon all the good reviews, I will have to find some time maybe during my December trip to try it again.

Thanks so much! It took us a while to finally get over to Earl but the food really was very good. It's been crazy busy when we've tried to eat there previously and I'm not a fan of waiting a long time for a sandwich, but this time it was about 2PM and the place was pretty calm.

Those sandwiches look soooo good! I've never eaten there, but might have to consider it for our next trip.

If you get a chance give it a try - it really was tasty!

Hi Jeanne! Thanks for taking the time to read while you're living it up at WDW! We did have a great time and were lucky enough to meet some fabu DISers, too! We're looking forward to seeing you and Marcel next October (nah, I don't plan ahead ... ;) ). Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Thanks for the links on the front page! It made it easy to catch up and now I'm ready to start drooling :goodvibes

Those links make it so much easier for everyone and now that I finally understand how to post them I'll always make sure they're available. Thanks for reading!

Those little bottles make it through security with no trouble at all and they fit quite well into a purse. ;) I hope you have a good trip and are able to hang on to your sanity. :goodvibes

Hey Kathy, thanks for reading! Glad I could get the vote of approval from the hubby ... we find those little bottles to be just perfect for air travel.

Great start Bendy :goodvibes

Hi Cass and welcome home! You and I just have great taste in food sometimes, don't we? Thanks for taking the time to read while you're trying to recover from your trip (which I hope was terrific!).

And that's why my two-quart baggie of prescription medications also included this:

Alcohol: The Cause of and Solution to all of Life's Problems!
Mmmmm, miniature vodka and single malt scotch samplers ... let the vacation hilarity begin!

HOW has it never occurred to me to take nips in my 2 quart bag??!!?? I bow to your knowledge! :worship:

My flight is at 7am... that may be a bit early to start. :rolleyes1

Earl of Sandwich looks yummy! Looking forward to your thoughts on Aloha Isle and the acclaimed Dole Whip. And btw... when can we expect the parking lot smackdown? popcorn::

Never been to the Earl, we always seem to end up at WPE. But, those sandwedges look tasty.

I'm proud to say that I've been bringing little snackeroos on the plane for years. People always looked at me like I was weird. But, I say, "Who's laughing now, huh?":woohoo:

Happy Belated Birthday!:cake:

I'm not sure why it took Jay and I as long as it did to start bringing our own stash ... I think we were thrown by the TSA liquid restrictions for a while.

And if you don't drink the boozie on the plane you can just enjoy it later in your room ... no pressure!

As for the smackdown ... that's going to be a while because it happened on Saturday evening of our trip. We were skipping lazily down to the pool about 10:30 that evening, sporting a great buzz from PFTS, when it all unfolded.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! The sandwedges were quite good ... give 'em a try some time.

As for the snacks ... this was the first time we brought along anything to eat but after that experience we had with Delta back in August I will never fly without some kind of food in my backpack again.

It's weird how my alcohol and you, BENDY, are so closely related! I rarely ever drink but last night we were invited to a birthday party at a pumpkin patch. For some reason I cannot explain (other than I must have been channeling Jay's and your smarts...) I stopped to get taco bell and next to it was a liquer store and I ran in and bought two little tiny Kahlua's. Sure enough at the pumpkin patch there was a $1.50 coffee stand just WAITING for me there! Mmmm GOOD! I'm sorry but 35 10-year old boys and a cold evening in a corn maze call for a kick of Kahlua! CAN I GET A HECK YA? :rotfl2:

It cracked me up to come here and see we were on the same page.

Great start!
