We should make this guy an honerary WISHer.

Wanted to welcome you as well. I'm just coming back to training after injuring my hamstring -- doing Goofy #4 this year (addicted to those medals). When I'm not injured, I do the bulk of my training on the treadmill, mixing in a few races to help me get the feel of the road.

I LOVE your videos -- and I have a question for YOU. What kind of video camera do you use? Is it hard to add video entries to your website? Do you need special software to package them for a website?

It was great seeing your progress. (Especially because I've been a bit blue because of the kink in my schedule that being hurt created -- you reminded me to NEVER GIVE UP.) This is a tough part of the year for everyone -- the mileage increases as do the holiday demands on our time. You are doing a great job of hanging in there -- especially given the COLD temps!

Looking forward to seeing you in person in January.

Thanks for bringing me here. Thanks for checking out my vids.

Are you doing the Miami ING half this year? I believe that is going to be my dad's next race.

Yes, I signed up two months ago to do it. I did the 08 wdw Half, then 2 weeks later the Miami ING Half and then 3 weeks later the A1A Fort Lauderdale half. (I think I was working on a "high" at the time I decided to sign up for those because I signed up like a week before the Miami and A1A) Not sure what I was thinking. I will not be doing the A1A this year as I was not too thrilled with the route that it takes.

The medals for the ING Miami are very cool - spinning palm tree with a crystal in the middle!! You know its all about the bling anyway!!

Welcome Mr. Marathoner and welcome to your dad, too!

There are lots of marathons all over. If you like to travel, you will find them in some great places to visit. There are Wishers all over, too! Looking forward to seeing you!

MM~ Just in case you are looking for a destination Marathon or Half Marathon in May 2009... this one is in my hometown, Wilmington, Delaware.

I ran the Delaware Marathon (my first) in 2006. As a matter of fact, that is the PR I hope to crush this weekend at the Marine Corps Marathon.

Here is the link.. www.delawaremarathon.org

Have a great weekend!

.....I would probably bring my dad along as when I had the stumble at Disney last year he caught the bug and began running. He completed his first half marathon in Green Bay at 54 years old. I thought that was pretty cool.

Is your Dad going to run the Marathon with you? My 19yo Son and I ran the Goofy last year. It was his second Half and his first Full. It was an awesome experience to cross the finish line for both races together. So awesome in fact, that we will do it again this year. And next year. And the year after that .....
Welcome to the W.I.S.H. Team and best wishes for your training goals. I look forward to following your progress and meeting you in January.

Happy training.

Thanks for the welcome. I use a regular digital picture camera that shoots videos. The first one we had just happened to shoots vids and when my wife decided to drown it we made sure we got another like it. It is from Sony and it works great. My pc(windows) has a movie maker already built in so all I have to do is move it from the camera to the pc with a memory card and add the movies and then I can add whatever effects I feel are necessary. I post them ton You Tube and my brother takes them from there to my website. Nothing special needed just a small amount of time.

Ha ha, that's pretty cool. Send me your email so we can be in touch. If I'm an inspiration it's only because I've been inspired so thank you and everyone else for that.

Leslie - You aren't set up to accept private messages. Let me know when you get that set and I will send you my email. I don't want it out there for the spammers of the world to grab!

Thanks, I have never been to Delaware so that would be a good option.

Question for you guys. After a wild last week or so dealing with a hamstring strain I decided to time my walking mile (I want to get it below 16 minutes per mile so time won't be on my mind during the marathon at Disney). I am at 17 min per mile right now which I am pretty excited about seeing I have 8 more weeks to drop a couple more pounds and that can only help. With two months remaining until race day what kind of improvements do you think could be made on my walking time? I plan on running as much as possible so I am sure I will be under pace there but I want to make sure my walking time is under pace, prefereably in the 15 minute or less range. Help!!!
