We Shared a SWW...and more! Done...At Home! (10/17)

I'm sure Robert was making sure this didn't happen

when he went to all that effort to sit on a bench.:rotfl2: Was that mean of me?:rotfl: Last year Robert tried to sit on the rail at the Teacups and fell over. One of those moments when your not sure what is going on.:lmao:

This picture nearly made me spew my dt coke all over the monitor! Perfect that you caught him "in action"!! :rotfl:

I like going on the tea cups and trying to make the kids sick! At least right now, I do not have any motion issues so I can make those suckers spin like crazy! :littleangel:

I have lots of pics with children I do not know! :rolleyes1

.

:rotfl:

Nearly fell off my chair then! I have a very strange sense of humour and people falling over I find especially hilarious! Bad I know! (but do laugh when I do it too!).

ohh i cant wait to ride the new space mountain! were those games in the queue fun?

They looked like a lot of fun because multiple people could do different things -- but we didn't have a line to make us wait, so we had to keep going!! It's kind of funny to be sad to miss something because you didn't have to wait in line! :lmao:

That was so WEIRD when he fell over like that!! :lmao: I think the last time we looked, those nice, soft bushes weren't there anymore, so it's a good thing he did that then!!

Loving your pics! And isn't it funny how we remember those crazy times on the rides. about the door hitting your car on Winnie. I bet the reaction from all of you was hilarious.

We freaked.

HM is a hard one to take pics in. Takes a really nice, expensive camera. I did get a few nice ones on our last trip, we were stopped in the dining room scene.

It is so hard to take pics without people in them at WDW. That pic with the little boy would be a great one for the "Is this you?" thread.

Where is that thread? I've heard of it before, but I don't know if I'd want to wade through 50 bijillion pictures to find myself!! :rotfl:

Oops, wasn't saying I had a really nice expensive camera, just lucked out.

No, but when your friends know that you have a nice expensive camera (read: more $$ than the normal $100-200 ones), that's all you really have to say. ;)

I absolutely get motion-sick - I didn't know how badly until I went up in a fighter jet and threw up so many times...I hate it!!! :headache:

:rotfl:

 Believe me, we were laughing when it happened!! Someone once told me that the reason we laugh is relief that it didn't happen to us!

Our next stop: Columbia Harbour House!! :woohoo: I was so excited to eat here again...we get torn when we want to eat at our favorite places because we only go once every year or less, but then maybe we are missing out on other places!

When we arrived, there really wasn't much of a line.

Suddenly, as I was getting the girls to give their orders, a kindly, older gentleman (CM) came up to us. "Can I take these girls off your hands for a moment?" he asked.

My DH and I were a little puzzled, but said, "Sure!" The girls hesitated for a moment, and then went with him. Robert and I went forward toward the counter to wait for our food, curious about what had just happened and where the girls were going.

ry%3D480

We got our food, and as we were walking toward the stairs with the trays, there were our girls, sitting at a little two-chair table, playing checkers! :cutie: The gentleman saw us and I told him thank you, graciously, and the girls followed us upstairs! Too cool -- just a little bit of magic. :wizard:

Last year, the CHH had a special plate not on the menu of shrimp -- this time, that plate was on the menu. I got them again, but the batter seemed different from what I remembered last year.

Afterward, we went and rode Peter Pan's Flight (which I didn't get pictures of), and then to Mickey's Philharmagic! We went straight in to the doors to wait. Pictures in the glasses are a must.

My normal DH pic. ;)

ry%3D480

AutoMAGICALLY!!!

ry%3D480

Kind of hard to see, but I spotted a hidden Mickey!

ry%3D480

The show was a nice relief from the heat...more to come!!

Just found CHH a few months ago. We really like it also and going upstairs is a must.

Pics in Peter Pan are impossible, except for that person with the flash last time I rode.

Love Mickey's Philharmagic, I'm torn between it and ITTBAB as my favorite 3D movie.

I love the pics in the 3D glasses...too funny.

The desserts at Columbia harbor house look really good and you guys had a great view of the surrounding area.

Looking forward to more:goodvibes

We have never even looked for a table on the first floor ever since we've gone to CHH! It just seems more peaceful and relaxed on the second floor.

I take MP over ITTBAB, because of the music, and the way you feel SWEPT up into each of the scenes!

:rotfl: We always get pics in those glasses!! Here's last years:

At CHH, a family was leaving the table right when we got upstairs, and we snagged it -- it was a great view!

vickie!! i'm soo sorry! I've been such a bad DIS-er :sad2: well, i'm back!! And i'm gonna go back and catch up!!

Oh, Keala, I read your thread and saw you were back, but you had SO MANY responses to your post I thought, "well, I'll post something later..." it takes almost as much time to answer everyone's post as it does to update your thread!! :lmao: I thought I would keep your next workload lighter! ;)

I'm so glad you're back!! :woohoo:

I love sitting upstairs at CHH! Especially if we can get a window seat!! The night we ate there it was beyond crazy!! We had to go outside but it was a pleasant night so not too bad but I had so hoped to get upstairs!

MP and ITTBAB are my faves too!! But I have a hard time choosing which would rank #1...they each have their own "thing" but I do believe MP would win out for the same reason you said....you feel swept into each scene!!

i love philharmagic

anyway colombia harhour house looks good! i might have to eat there...
if i were your daughter i would be sooo creeped out with that guy coming up to her and her friend :rotfl:

If you like fish, you'll like CHH!

My DD has a great sense of humor, as long as she's in a good mood! She was laughing...!

I don't even know where you sit outside for that restaurant! :rotfl: Our policy is to eat early (to avoid the crowds), and OFTEN! :lmao:

I just love when the curtains pull back and that screen like triples in size...and it just pulls you into the scene! :cloud9:

We went back and used our FPs for Space Mountain, and Natalie sat in the front again -- my DH sat in the front of the car behind us. Strangely, this is the picture that came out!

ry%3D480

It completely cut out Natalie and stuck Robert in! :confused3

This, I believe, is the only place in the Magic Kingdom where you can get an alcoholic drink. If you could get the robot to serve it to you.

ry%3D480

It was time to trek BACK across the kingdom to get FPs for our next fave ride, BTMRR!! I'm afraid I probably was going commando by this time, herding the group over these sets of bridges, which seems to be a little quicker as the crowds get bigger.

ry%3D480

After getting FPs, I asked the girls if they wanted to ride Splash Mountain. No one was a taker. I know that I tend to want to stay dry, but I really expected the girls to decide, along with the heat, that being wet might be a good thing. So, instead, we went to the wild west and went shopping whilest we waited for our wide.

Ride.

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I longed for these. These are, by far, my most favoritest candies in the World. I didn't end up buying these, but did buy a two-pack somewhere, later. I want some now. Too bad you can't get them online. :(

ry%3D480

Something odd happened...we couldn't quite figure out what. But it seemed that the elder CM working in the store was perhaps a "newbie", and the other CMs were showing her how to take a broom and a rag and wipe this vent.

Why? I dunno. Maybe it was dripping water. But I took a pic.

ry%3D480

I almost bought me some Beaver Butt...but decided not to.

ry%3D480

My DH pointed this out to me -- how they are pictures that make up the letters...really pretty.

ry%3D480

There was a game of tic-tac-toe in the store, represented by two colored rocks for X's and O's, sitting on a barrel. My DD and DH began playing, and my DD beat him EVERY TIME. I played her once, and she beat me, berating me for making a stupid move.

ry%3D480

Note the smile. She's not competitive, or anything.

ry%3D480

I could shur use me some one thousand smackeroonies. See the little sneak? ;)

ry%3D480

I'm keen on English saddles, so when I saw this one sitting in the corner, I had my DH hold up the flap with the name of it.

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I know, not that interesting. But it was at the time.

What would we do next, while waiting on our FPs? It's right around the corner...! popcorn::

Another great update!

The Mickey coconut treats sound good and i'll have to remember to try those.

Can't believe that no one wanted to ride Splash even in the heat.

Can't wait to hear more:goodvibes

Great update! :lmao:love the Space Mountain pic. Too funny. If you hadn't said Robert was in another car, I would have thought you left Natalie behind.:rotfl:

No Splash Mountain. I know you got soaked last year, but come on. Ok, its my favorite ride so I think everyone should love it.:)

Beaver Butt Soap????:confused3 Why would you even clean a beaver?:rotfl2:

So, does turning 41 make the memory cells die?

I forgot to mention the Disneyworld sign in the shop. I thought that was pins? I saw it a few weeks ago and was wanted to know if it could be bought and for how much, probably have to sell the house.:rotfl:

Those coconut bars/cookies/snacks are so moist and delicious -- I don't know of a single, solitary other treat like it in any non-Disney store. (sigh)

I think at the time, the girls were thinking that they didn't want to walk around wet, waiting on the BTMRR ride. We believed that they might want to go after that.

Great update! :lmao:love the Space Mountain pic. Too funny. If you hadn't said Robert was in another car, I would have thought you left Natalie behind.:rotfl:

We really freaked when we couldn't find Natalie -- she wasn't in ANY picture!! :confused3

I really believe that our last experience of getting totally soaked and walking around wet in the park for hours influenced Jordan's decision on the ride, and ultimately, Natalie's. I wasn't going to pressure them, but I did bring it up quite a bit!

And I'm surprised you haven't seen those soaps!! :lmao: There are like 4 different kinds, and the CMs were really having a good time telling me about them. I'm not one for those kinds of fancy little soaps, but it was intriguing reading.

that space mountain picture thing was wierd... why would they cut her out and put your husband in haha?

why no splash mountain?! i hope you went on it later in the trip because that is a must do!

and that little gift shop looked cute! ill have to check it out next time!

The camera MUST have gotten "off" when doing it's three-in-a-row pics -- but I expected to see Natalie sitting with another family!! :lmao:

Jordan kept saying she didn't want to "walk around wet" -- which stemmed from our experience last year when we got SOAKED all over from the boat coming down when we went past, not even from OUR downhill ride! Maybe next time I'll think about bringing the ponchos. ;)

...the tic-tac-toe game was a nice little diversion for kids in that store!

So, does turning 41 make the memory cells die?

You are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!! I had forgotten, too, that those were pins in that picture case!! :lmao: When I read your post, the little light bulb came on --

duh... I think it was somewhere in the low hundreds range...but that put it out of my "whimsical purchases" range, so I promptly forgot how much it was. ;)

What a great post! I love that store...I need to find it because it seems to have different things....like that soap! I want that just for the novelty!! :lmao: We hardly got wet on Splash at all but if I had experienced being wet before....it probably would have influenced riding. For instance on Kali River in AK, we rode it when we knew we were leaving....there is no way not to get soaked!!

On CHH: there are iron picnic tables outside and I am really unsure if it is an actual part of CHH. It was the only place we could find to sit. There is a walkway between the tables and CHH. I normally eat at off times to beat the crowds....this night it was after 8pm and still that busy!!

I must get some Beaver butt soap next trip! I know just the person to bring that home for!!!

Great update! Can't believe the girls didn't want to ride splash! I love splash but I am not see keen on having wet knickers! I always seem to get soaking on it too.

Love the pics of you herding your troops!!! Its hard not to isn't it? There is so much to squeeze in!
