Wow!! What a great day!! The parade looks like so much fun!! And the Lion King show--it was fabulous wasn't it?! One of my favorites!!

We were there October 15-19. We went to MK on the day you opened the park. I kept looking to see if we were in any of your pictures but I didn't see us. I am really enjoying your TR. Your pictures are lovely and I can tell you had a wonderful time. Ava is a cutie and Erin has a beautiful smile. I can't wait to see what happens next.

This was the first time that I have seen the Lion King show and I thought it was awesome. I'm so excited to get over to PTR and check it out!

I enjoyed the parade because it seemed more intimate than the other parades at Disney. Thank you for the kind comment about the girls. Erin is definitely a daredevil! If she is like this at 6 years old I think I am going to have some long years ahead of me!

We just were so fortunate the week we were there. The weather and crowds were definitely in our favor. I really tried to go with the flow and for the most part that really worked well.

DH went to get FP for Thunder Mountain Railroad and the rest went to Adventureland. I think we rode Jungle Cruise and POTC before heading on to Frontierland.

I love that Stu got chosen to participate in the opening of the Festival of the Lion King show. It's always funny to see the guests doing their animal imitations.

I would love to know where you staked out your parade spot. You got some amazing parade pictures!

last time i was at wdw i was 16..lets just say that was awhile ago but we did DL with my daughter feb 2008. She had a blast and i can't wait to see her and my neicae together at wdw. I am a glad i stumbled onto your trip report. Its making me smile and get SOOOOO excited. 10 days!

You poor thing! I bet you were just freezing. It is amazing how one go around you can stay high and dry and the next time you end up paying for it!

I don't blame you for getting a cab back from AKL! One of the main reasons I tend to always get rentals now is because we dine so much at the Resorts and it can be a true hassle going resort to resort on the buses!

Thank you! AK ended up being one of our favorite days. The girls ate so much corn on the cob and strawberries at Boma. I think they tried every dessert too.

What a fantastic day, I'm so pleased Ava finally got to see Pooh

I was so excited that Ava got to see Pooh. She was so timid about getting her picture with the face characters, but not Pooh and her friends! It was fun to see her one on one with the characters since Erin was off with Stu.

The cab was one of the best decisions that we made that day! The thought of going to one of the parks or DTD and changing to a POP bus was not real appealing.

I hope to get an update in before the weekend is over. It has been a crazy, but fun holiday weekend.
