We live in a suburb of Buffalo, NY. Today they announced that since Christmas Eve, we have received approx. 82.3 inches of snow! Since 1997 (when we joined DVC), we have stayed at one of the DVC resorts (OKW or VB) in January or February. For 2002, we decided to go to HH in April instaed of doing the usual, followed by OKW and DCL 7-day'er in December. What a mistake! After this past week, we truly could use that DVC hospitality!

Been watching the weather channel lately. It is amazing how there has been this strip of clouds constantly running across Buffalo dumping snow but it looks like it is clear 70 miles away on either side (north and south). And it looks like it won't stop soon. You guys must have done something awful bad to get on the wrong side of the weather gods. Pretty soon Buffalo will be gone, replaced by a snow desert that has buried buildings and all known life. Of course, the question is whether anyone living elsewhere will notice. Perhaps this is your punishment for losing 4 Super Bowls in a row. The only advice I can give is to move to someplace where the weather is pleasant (like Chicago).

Hey Walter, I hear you loud and clear! Been watching the news on the storms in your area, I really sympathize! Here in NH we have about a 2 inch layer of ice, that's it! Last year we had a tremendous amount of snow, I really would like to see a little more so I could play in it with my grand kids.
My problem is I have 84 points that are burning a hole in my pocket, free air fare and I have an ap so parks will be free....and NO ONE wants to go !!! I'm seriously thinking about going solo, I could really use some Florida weather now!
Good luck, and hang in there, spring's coming!!!!!

I'm with you Walter - I want my DVC...only 77 inches here in Niagara! We cruise in three weeks - think the airport will be plowed out and opened by then?:earseek:

Hey drusba,
At least our team made it to four Super Bowls (would just liked to have made it into the playoffs the past two years)! As for the snow, people are coping well with the storm. It was a "light" type, which makes it easy to remove. I am sure that you in the Windy City" have had some poor weather in the past. Getting back to the issue, it is always a nice break from the winter to just visit a DVC resort and be greeted by "Welcome Home". note: maybe this weather is a payback for a great summer and snow free fall through the first week in December.

Maybe you should've kept FLUTIE...then again, in Patriots territory...I say the same thing ALL the time  ;)

Hey Walter,

How come everybody from Buffalo says the same thing, "at least our team made it to four superbowls" That almost as bad as saying " I'm a Patriots fan" BTW, I am (Oh, did I say that out loud, now I'm really embarrassed)

Walter, you won't be sorry once you arrive in HH, It's beautiful and in April the weather is gorgeous!

I live about 50 miles east of Buffalo and we can't believe you guys got socked like that. We got barely a trace and not till yesterday! The kids are disappointed we didn't have a white Christmas and they're dying to get the sleds out. It actually would be fun to get snowed in on Christmas, maybe next year!!

Hey Walter, get the @#$#%# out of there.

Head South young man, a trip to WDW would do you wonders.

I have a wide driveway that I have to shovel, and hearing about
the "feet" of snow you've gotten already sends my back into spasms.

BTW, drusba, it's funny you would think moving to Chicago
would be an improvement weather-wise.

Chicago, icecube of the midwest. LOL ;)

KICK..no embarressment for now anyways :p :p ask me again next week....we are neighbors...I live in Billerica.
