We need a Bachelorette thread!

I absolutely adore her ring! Fairly simple and classy. I am so happy he didn't choose the emerald cut ring. I realize that cut is very expensive, but very blah to me. Some of the rings offered are too "busy" or gawdy to me.

And Nick is such a sore loser and scum to bring up the Fantasy Suite on a live television show. His mother must be so proud of him!!!

And I don't understand how Chris Harrison can say the cast of Bachelor in Paradise contains fan favorites. Maybe Brian, Marquel and Marcus - and I do mean maybe - but most of them, the guys and the gals, are just trying to extend their 15 minutes. I am surprised "fake Jake" is not one of them.

Yeah, I call that retribution. Total disrespect for Andi. Guessing she could have avoided that moment on the air if she'd talked to him before. He needed to throw that out because it was "fiance stuff?" What exactly did that mean? Oh well, I'm sure she's very sure she chose the right guy. We all wanted her to choose Chris-and from her crying she wished she could love him-but we knew it would be Josh.

YES! I forgot that part. Because no one ever sleeps with anyone that they don't intend to marry. :rolleyes1

I would imagine that she told Josh she slept with Nick. We don't know what goes on behind the scenes. They are in their late 20's...really do we not think they will "try each other out"? I think she should have been more upfront with Nick and at least talked to him and that is probably why he threw her under the bus. Not very attractive though and I don't see any women rushing now to date him. He was definitely hurt, but to say that on TV was pretty low.

I can't believe that Andi has any arms left. Josh has rubbed her arms up and down so many times she must have a rash:scared1::rotfl:

Time will tell with them. So far I have watched them on Monday's show, Jimmy Kimmel's show and GMA this morning. Same giggling from Josh, same answers about being out and walking his dog...going out to eat...marriage plans for next spring after they enjoy their engagement. I want to believe they are going to make it, but we know how most of these things work out.:sad2:

Well not everyone does but there are some people that still feel that way. I am assuming that to Andi it didn't mean that she was in love with him and going to marry him but to him it might have.
Maybe he doesn't do those things with someone he isn't planning on marrying... just a thought.
I felt bad for him. He could have handled it better but... I think if the gender roles were reversed it would have come across different. Maybe if a girl said why did you sleep with me if you knew you weren't in love with me.... the reaction would be different.

I don't really blame Nick for being direct, he did try to talk with her privately and she declined. I agree though that he was acting so whiny and desperate, yuck!

And "fiancé stuff" made me laugh, I envisioned some sort of special, kinky stuff.

Who's excited for Bachelor Pad!?!? Bring on the drama! :happytv:

This was the best/worst TV I have seen in a while. Holy smokes. That ATFR was something else.

Nick was just :scared: :crazy2: :furious:. Desperation is never attractive, my friend....What a loon.

....that was borderline obsessive/stalker....

Nick was just :scared: :crazy2: :furious:. Desperation is never attractive, my friend.

And to call her out on TV about the Fantasy Suite?!?! I mean, we all know they're not playing Scrabble in there but COME ON. What a db move. He shows how much he allegedly cares about her by throwing her under the bus. What a loon.

I agree! Nick was a total dirt bag or whatever else DB might mean.

This was only the second time I have ever watched. I got sucked in by the UGA connection. I don't know if I would put this on for regular viewing, too much like a train wreck.

Gah, Nick is such a total girl. We all know what goes on in the fantasy suite, but to out her like that? He should consider himself lucky he got some. She did handle it well, you could tell she was screaming "SHUT UP!!" inside.

The breakup scene was super uncomfortable. It's too bad Andi couldn't just be honest and say, "I'm just not that into you. But for the sake of the show, I had to make it look like I didn't know who to choose." So awkward.

That DID happen after the very first Bachelor. We could all tell by Trista's reaction that she slept with him and that he told her in private that she was the one. That the cad got some nookie and then dumped her. That's why you never see any mention of him on the show ever again. He was OBVIOUSLY a player and just did the show to get some. :sad2: He almost tanked the series right from the start. :p

Then when they made Trista the first Bachelorette, she got a LOT of bashing for sleeping with two guys herself. But BOTH guys stood up for her and said they just talked and cuddled all night. And after how Alex had done the "sleep & dump" she said in interviews that didn't want to do that with the guys.

And "fiancé stuff" made me laugh, I envisioned some sort of special, kinky stuff.

:lmao: I hadn't thought of that. "You're so special, I'm doing this only with you to prove you are The One."

That's why we watch it and this thread is so long. popcorn:: The show wouldn't be worth watching without us being able to discuss it afterward. popcorn::  :hyper2: :sad2:  :confused3 :rotfl:

::yes:: That's why she doesn't handle these breakups well, with Nick or Chris. You KNOW she just wants to tell them they aren't the one. But the show has made her keep these guys and she's just not that into them.

I am surprised that she would "testdrive" Nick, since she probably really knew deep down that he wasn't the one. It seemed kind of obvious to me that she'd pick Josh.

Okay, I get that Andi has to lie and manipulate for the show. It is ALWAYS that way, BUT, she did not have to be intimate with Nick the night before she was going to break up with him and get engaged to someone else. That, in my opinion, is "db" behavior. She knew Nick was crazy in love with her. Why did she hurt him that way??? :confused3 I don't have any respect for Andi. Yuk. :rolleyes2

I don't believe he's genuine. He just wanted to get back at her and make people feel sorry for him. What single guy complains he was taken "advantage" of.

::yes::

Did she deflower him?

:lmao::lmao:

The thing is, she GUSHED how she loved Josh since she first saw him. . . but she slept with the other guy, too. :sad2:

What's LOVE gotta do Gotta do with it....???

I just finished watching.

(1) I wasn't so upset about Nick 'spilling the beans' about their nookie date. He tried to see her and discuss it with her twice but she didn't want to see him. Maybe she should have let him ask the 'If you didn't love me then why did you have sex with me?" question at the "Men Tell All" show backstage. In many ways she brought on her own embarrasment.

(2) Andi and Josh looked really cute togther.

(3) No bachelor announced? Maybe ther are waiting until the end of Bachelor Pad (in Paradise).

(4) I hate the ring. It's ugly.

(5) I still love Coach. He's very sweet.

(6) Chris as some DUIs? Not a shock. What else is there to do in the middle of Iowa? It's certainly a common passtime here in Wisconsin.

:lmao:

Juan Pablo and Rob the Bachelor "testdrove" so many women and NO ONE made that much of a deal about it.

I would've let Nick HAVE it. I would've told him "that was WHY I didn't CHOOSE YOU, I like REAL MEN" ;)

Try to you humiliate ME, I'll give it right back to you in spades.

Jerk was trying to undercut HER and JOSH. He wanted to make sure the world and the "fiance" knew he "got some". So WHAT Josh. She got it and didn't want it anymore. What the heck does that say about you?

NEVER liked that guy..:surfweb:

This is my first time posting, but I have been lurking for a while. I agree with the above! How is that any different than Juan Pablo and her? I don't see Andi and Josh lasting. He like to control all of the conversation. Being the "strong" women that she is, I don't think that will go over so well for long. Anyone else notice how he is always the one talking?

Okay, I have disliked Nick from the moment I laid eyes on him. He was yucky to me and I ended up fast forwarding through most of his scenes throughout the show. But I did watch last night and I have to say....I felt so sorry for him. He did seem to genuinely love Andi.

Andi and Josh seem like a perfect match though, so I'm happy for them.

I thought that was because after the way she was blindsided by Nick, she needed time to recover. She's not usually so quiet. The Alpha Male in him took over, defending her and letting the world know everything is hunky-dory and lovey-dovey between them. That he was rightfully the one who one.

Was he the same way during the other TV show interviews afterward? On Jimmy Kimmel & GMA, does anyone know?

I haven't watched yet, but a couple of weeks ago, I went looking for spoilers (yeah ... I know ... I just couldn't wait). So the site I read had significant proof that Nick wasn't the one: a video (and yes, you can hear him on the audio) of him on the plane, leaving the Dominican Republic, and before takeoff, he's on the phone with someone and very clearly says 'it was like she changed her mind at the last minute'. He kept repeating that and saying 'I don't know. I don't know '. He also says that Josh is a control freak (and yes, calls him by name).

Then at one point, I assume the person on the other end asked if the Bachelor/ette ever changed their mind, because Nicks response was 'yes, once. They're married now and have a baby.' (Referring to Molly and Jason.). Someone mentioned (either in this thread or on the show -can't remember) about how Nick had almost studied the show and how to 'play the game'.

Just found it interesting, so thought I'd share.

He was exactly the same on all 3 shows....giggly and touchy and feely, but I do think he thinks she fits into his lifestyle. On the other hand, she has already told us many times he's the kind of guy she likes. I have to say they would have beautiful children. I'm an optimist and hope it works out for them.:lovestruc

I also think that Nick shouldn't have brought up the fact that they slept together. I also think that if I was so sure, I wouldn't have slept with Nick...but that's me. We have always known what goes on in the fantasy suite but no one actually said it on Live TV in front of their parents. She was right in bringing up that it was a personal thing between them, and you could see she was livid...but he was so upset and bitter he had to bring it up. It also seemed like Chris was taking lots of time to ask the questions over and over again...kinda like instigating his responses...maybe not, but it seemed to drag on and on. It was pretty hard to watch.

Remember she sent the farmer home BECAUSE she didn't want to put him through that? She mentioned earlier that her relationship (connection) with Nick was "passionate", very similar to JP's was with Claire.

Unlike some females I don't see the absolute connection between love and sex. It CAN be a part of it but it's not ALWAYS a part of it, like frosting can sometimes be on a cake. Men easily make the disconnection, well, MOST MEN except NICK the &@(% :rolleyes2 .

Maybe she just had that connection with him and knowing she HAD to make a choice, she chose who she would RATHER wake up next to than the one she'd roll with the night before, kwim?

It's 2014, ladies, I remember this conversation in the early 60s! :duck:
