We just all seem subdued. ;)

I know I am just swamped this week. I have several tax returns due at work this week. It is end of month, and DH's architectural firm needs payroll, payroll tax returns and invoices to be mailed (which means at least one evening catching up on accounts payable). I am trying to get my exercise time built up (training for the World in 36 days :cool1: ). We planted flowers and grass this weekend, so everything has to be watered every evening. We have an event with the principal of DS's school tomorrow evening. I have an interview Wednesday morning...

Great Googly Moogly! I am even more tired now.

But, this too shall pass....

I agree...swamped. I have a final exam tomorrow and the next semester starts next week. In six weeks I will be done! :cool1: Throw in all the kid's activities and I see my hair starting to turn gray!

I'll raise that swamped!

I'm trying to finish up some projects at work and home, then leaving on Wed. evening for Portland OR to visit my daughter. She's been struggling with some problems for a while now so I planned this trip a month ago when I found a great airfare on SW.

Seemed like a great idea at the time but I work at a university and the semester is winding down which means I'm very busy. It's also a week for meetings, some of which I'll miss, yeah ;) After I get on the plane, I'll let everything go and have a great time - it's the prepping that stresses me.

Hope everyone will be well and back in form soon.

Back on Monday.

Swamped ??

Yup that about sums it up

DH, both girls and I have been dealing with this never ending cold from H***
plus work and helping to take care of my niece and nephew since MY BIL got hurt at work

It has been crazy

Hope things settle down for everyone soon and we can all get back to the fun stuff :wizard:

Swamped.. definitely swamped...

The end of school is always the worst... it's great for the kids..but the number of fields trips, school parties, culture fest for my DD... making sure oldest stepson has the right classes chosen for his diploma.. think that is under control after a final approval from me.. (he signed up for the same class twice and his mom and dad both missed it when they discussed his courses with him.. thank goodness I checked..).. DD got signed up for middle school..and into her classes she wanted.. Not to mention the kids' activities.. 5 kids.. in 5 different events.. Dh is traveling more.. and there is NO vacation to the World this summer.. needless to say, I'm anxiously awaiting next summer.. :hourglass

I know I was tired...

It was everything I could do to stay up and watch Elizabeth I on HBO. And then when it ended, I was mad that I wasted my time. I mean, the show was great, and I loved the costumes, but the end was not worth the struggle to stay awake...sheesh...

I am kinda glad to hear that, Debbie. I was bummed that I didn't have HBO to watch the show. Now I am not so sad, but I am sorry you didn't like it!

Oh, I liked it, it just wasn't worth losing sleep to see the end. The end just fell really flat for me. I guess I was expecting more, and it just ended...credits...and I was like...HUH? If you like period movies, I recommend it. The costumes were great, and it was an interesting way they portrayed her. I'm sure it will be available for rent soon.

DS rented Brokeback Mountain for me to watch today...so I guess I'll be reviewing that one next... :lmao: This convalescence stuff is getting me all caught up on the things I have been missing...Like I saw my first Desperate Housewives, and my first Gray's Anatomy. Both were recap shows, so I know the whole story now... :thumbsup2

Don't forget it's HBO - it'll be on again, and again......

We've been busy working in the yard the past few days~It has been so nice here that we decided to to try and get things done a little early this year! We put mulch all around our entire house, under the kids swingset, around the gardens, ect. I want to plant some sunflowers soon, but need to wait a little bit longer as it still gets a little bit cold here at night.

Then there is end of the year school stuff (I am an aide in Kindergarten) that needs to be done. Just busy time of year, I guess! :)
