We Met Fred Dodd Today...Photo!!!

I was invited this afternoon to the Major's home to meet Fred Dodd. What a TREAT!!! He was so nice and extremely humble. He didn't want to accept credit - he kept telling us that it was our Marines who deserved the accolades.

He graciously answered lots of our questions and posed for photos. My husband was out of town, but luckily Kelli was able to go with me.

Fred is currently finishing a month's vacation - courtesy of the South Bend Tribune. He told us that he and his wife just got back from a Las Vegas vacation - also courtesy of the Tribune.

As for our Marines....the word we're getting is "maybe Wednesday" to bring them back home to Indiana.

Wow , what a wonderful way to spend your Sunday...Bet his stories were very interesting. and the News of possibly "Weds." sounds even better.....so glad you got to meet him and were able to get some inside scoop.....funny but I still come here daily and check the news site daily for any word...Hope the days pass quickly for you .

Thanks for sharing the picture Patty! Such good news that Bobby will soon be home! Post lots of pictures of his homecoming for us ----- and ask him to make a post for us too! He'll have to sign on the DIS too! [to make all his cyber aunts happy!]

Patty - I agree! The picture of you and Fred Dodd is great, but we can't wait to see the pictures of you and Bobby!
