We LOVED the DDP!! (family of 8)

I'm just popping back on this site about 10 months after our last WDW vacation. We've taken about 5-6 Disney vacations in the past, but this was the first one with the dining plan. I just have to say that it was WONDERFUL for us! We went as a family- my DH, me, our 11 month old, my parents, my sister and brother, my sister's friend- and normally we'd have to be pretty picky about what we ate there for financial reasons. Food is just spendy and so there are only certain places we'd be able to eat and usually not too much variety because of that.

But this time was so different...honestly, the DDP made it REALLY feel like a vacation because we NEVER had to worry about money on the trip unless we were buying souveniers. We could order anything on the menu and it was just so much fun! I mean, it's definitely not all about food but it does WONDERS to not have to worry about how much you can afford to eat and such. And we never went hungry (heck, I'm sure we gained weight! LOL) and even ended up with extra meals (which we'd make sure didn't happen next time...although we were able to give a few away to unsuspecting people on our last night, which was fun!). But it really made for a more carefree enjoyable experience.

Anyway, just wanted to share. We're most definitely not going w/out the DDP next time (hopefully Jan/Feb 2009!)!
