We loved it so much WE HAD TO GO BACK!!!
A Spontaneous Spring Break Trip Report

Hello Everyone!!! Welcome to my second trip report (the first is still in progress... I just couldn’t wait to get this one rolling!!!)

For those of you who don’t know my name is Alicia.

IMG_7048.jpg

I’ll start out with a little bit about myself. I am OBSESSED with Disney. People who I go to school with find it a little obnoxious but they just don’t understand what it’s like to have been born and raised on Disney. I am currently 22 years old and a senior in college where I am studying theatre performance. After I graduate in May I am moving to Florida to participate in the Disney College Program in hopes of starting my career with Disney.

Now you might be asking who my travel companions are and for any of you who have read my last trip report which can be found here:

Crazy Eights take on the World: Spoiled Silly

I unfortunately had to leave a majority of “The Eights” at home for this trip. That’s right this time around it was going to be just me and my fiancé Andy on the trip of a lifetime!!!

First, a little bit about my fiancé Andy,

IMG_5713.jpg

he is 20 years old, we met in high school and have been dating for just shy of 4 years now. He has been through a lot within the last year and it's great that we have been lucky enough to take two Disney trips in less than a year (we usually go two years or so). We actually just got engaged on the last day of our August trip. He proposed right in front of the Mexico Pavilion in EPCOT (we were on our way in to dinner at my FAVORITE restaurant). It was magical and perfect and I was taken completely by surprise.

IMG_5610.jpg

IMG_5613.jpg

He's perfect :lovestruc.

So yet another reason to go back and celebrate!!! This was to be our spring break/just engaged/we just had to go back trip. Like I said he is 20 years old and he is very quickly becoming as obsessed with Disney as I am.

A little back-story on how this trip came to be. One night we were sitting at Andy’s house and as always I was sitting around talking about Disney and how much I missed it (this happens A LOT). If I recall correctly it was late January early February and out of the blue Andy asked his dad if he would send us to Disney for spring break/my birthday/his birthday/my early graduation. To our surprise he said yes!!! We prices it out and found a great deal with southwest and we were all set to go. We were so beyond excited and extremely grateful.

So for starters it was going to be Andy and I on our first trip alone. My first trip to Disney without my family EVER. So I was extremely nervous and kinda sad but WE WERE DOING TO DISNEY AGAIN!!! So I would get over that rather quickly.

c8412ef6-777e-45af-b098-a00e017e1211.jpg

So shortly after we found out we were going I had to shout it from the rooftops (aka facebook/twitter) and we found out that friends of ours from school would be down there roughly the same time we were. So for half of this trip report you will see our lovely friends Primo and Keirsten.

IMG_6963.jpg

For these two it was Primo’s Birthday trip/Spring Break/Keirsten’s first trip to Disney World since she was 10 or so. If I recall correctly it had been a while since either of them had actually visited the world so that meant seeing it all through children’s eyes again.

While we were there we also met up with one of my best friends who is currently living down there and doing the College Program. His name is Bobby.

IMG_6986.jpg

When we met we became friends immediately after I found out his love of Dinsey. Aside from my family I had never found anyone who loved Disney as much as I do so we basically became attached at the hip until he left me in January to live in our happiest place on earth.

So I think that that about gets you up to date on who’s who in our crazy cast of characters!!!

I hope that you will all stick around for the ride and will have as much fun reading as I have retelling our adventures!!!

Let The Memories Begin :wizard:

Who Knew You Could Be Sad Leaving For Disney
March 4, 2012

Let me start out by explaining the sad chapter title. This was mine and Andy’s first trip completely on our own so first off I was terrified at arriving at the airport and them not allowing me through to the gate. ANYWAYS aside from that this was going to be my first trip to Disney without my family and it was an extremely weird feeling. It’s like Disney in my head is so perfect because I have all of my family memoires there and I was afraid it wasn’t going to be as perfect without them. So the night before I had a really hard time falling asleep with all these thoughts running through my mind.

Now I can continue with the happy peppy part of the trip report!!!

Alarm went off at 4:00am. Already off to a better start than the August trip because I had about an hour to get ready rather than 20. I jumped out of bed like a rocket partially because I was so excited and partially because it was so loud it scared the bajesus out of me!!!

This time the alarm was set to Illuminations, such a good way to wake up. I was in the bathroom getting ready by 4:01. Usually I like to hang out in bed and slowly wake up but not this day NO WAY!!!

Andy asked me to wake him up at 4:30 so he could sleep just a little longer. I went in to wake him up and he was already awake and moving. We started packing up a few last things before I went to wake up Ma who was going to take us to the airport.

IMG_6529.jpg

Of course Minnie had to come with me!!! She got a good seat in my carry on so that she could come on the plane with me.

IMG_6528.jpg

I also packed one of the most important parts of the trip. My Disney documents folder. It had everything from dinning conformation papers, boarding passes, online check in papers, magical express passes and just about any kind of paper you can think of.(yes those are the stickers that the greeter at Saratoga Springs gave us in August, still haven’t used them all yet that’s how many he gave us!!!)

IMG_6526.jpg

DON’T LOSE OR ELSE YOU WON’T GET TO DISNEY!!!

IMG_6527.jpg

Then we noticed that KC had slept on the couch that night so he could say goodbye to us in the morning. how sweet.

IMG_6525.jpg

After we were all packed up and ready to go I freaked out for a hot second because my father had given me a monorail bracelet the night before and I had left it on my suitcase the night before and it had gone missing!!! Luckily he had another one and gave me that one. Few.

We were on our way by around 4:55. The lines we all so short that we were sitting at the gate waiting to board by 5:16!!! When we pulled up we said goodbye to Ma and KC. Then we were off, on our first solo parent free adventure. I might have had another minor panic attack as we walked in I won’t lie.

We walked up to the Southwest check in, there was NO LINE and I kid you not absolutely no line to check in. The man waiting there to help us was so friendly. He got us all checked it and luggage weighed and checked. When he saw that we were staying at the All Star Resorts he said that he loved them and hoped that we had an amazing vacation and it was in that moment that I knew everything was going to be ok. I mean it’s Disney and everyone is SO FRIENDLY and I didn’t worry at all for the rest of the trip.

Happy to have made it through the first part we took some photos and we were off to the security line which was also non existent.

SMILE!!! We made it through step one alive

IMG_6531.jpg

IMG_6532.jpg

We made it through security and walked quickly to Gate 18.

IMG_6533.jpg

As I said we were waiting to board by 5:16 I took a last minute trip to the bathroom and Andy took his “confidence pill” (if you don’t know on our first trip down together Andy was terrified of flying, he takes motion sickness pills before every flight and I 100% fine now, in fact I think he was less nervous than I was because I was worried for check in).

We were SO EXCITED TO GET THERE!!! I woke up the day before at 6:00am to print our boarding passes we were in section A, that never happens for us!!! This was my first sign that traveling with 2 is a lot easier than traveling with 8.

IMG_6536.jpg

They started boarding at 5:35. This was is, we were almost on our way, one step closer!!! Since were section A we got the second row on the plane (which means we could hop off way faster and that means getting to the magical express faster which means getting to Disney faster!!!)

We were off and moving after deicing the plane (yea it was snowing and I was wearing sandals. GET ME TO FLORIDA!!!)

IMG_6537.jpg

Right on time actually a little a head of time!!! Andy fell asleep almost immediately. I stayed awake and watched buffalo fade away into the clouds, leaving behind all the stress of being a senior in college. I put on my Disney playlist and slowly melted into the child that Disney makes me become. I can remember hearing the EPCOT music playing and I completely lost it. I was so thankful to be going on this last minute trip I couldn’t handle it. The music literally makes me cry. Form there the star tunnel music played from Space Mountain and since the first place we were going was Magic Kingdom the anticipation started “THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING” was the only thing I could think, I was just here in August and I am already going back?!? I cried and thanked my lucky stars that I was so fortunate.

I was left with my journal and Minnie. We had a very nice flight.

IMG_6541.jpg

Before I knew it they were coming around with our snack and drinks (first “food pictures” of the trip how exciting!!!). At this point I remember I was listening to Mickey’s 60’s Birthday Celebration parade and the song remained in my head for the rest of the day. “Thank you for the magic and the Wonder celebrating 60 years with you!!! Happy Happy Birthday Mickey Mouse we’re celebrating with you.”

IMG_6542.jpg

All of a sudden my phone went off, I was confused for a second. But when I looked at the screen I started freaking out (again)!!! I have an App for my phone that I used to countdown the days to my trip. I no clue that on the last day it would say this. It was adorable so I had to take a screen shot of it.

photo.png

As the minutes ticked by I got so impatient and then I thought to myself “Alicia you are flying, if you were driving you wouldn’t be there for another 24 hours stop rushing it!!!” then I started to wonder what state we were over.

I was as giddy as a child on Christmas when they finally told us we were ready to land. We arrived at MCO safely but about 20 minutes late. All I wanted was to get there so we walked as quickly as we could.

No time to stop!!! Walk and take pictures. Come on, come on we don’t have all day!!!

IMG_6543.jpg

We got to the mini monorail, I said “Please stand clear of the doors. Por Favor Mantengase Alejado de las Puertas” and we were off

IMG_6544.jpg

We made our way through the main part of the building, this place really is so pretty.

IMG_6545.jpg

Down the two flights of stairs and to:

IMG_6548.jpg

Time to get out that blue folder with out magical bus passes!!! The excitement was just overwhelming.

IMG_6549.jpg

Getting closer

IMG_6550.jpg

There was literally not a person in line. So we weaved in and out until we got to the front of the line

IMG_6551.jpg

And then we saw them!!! Magical Expresses!!! Could a bus be more perfect?!?

IMG_6552.jpg

An wouldn’t you know… Once again we are escorted to the lame yellow bus. Wah wah wah…

IMG_6553.jpg

BUT, just like in August we were the first ones on the bus and you know what that means… FRONT ROW SEAT aka I am getting into Disney before everyone behind me!!!

IMG_6554.jpg

We got to the bus at exactly 9:13. We waited for the others to load. This was the strange part, the bus had a total of 12 people on it. I was laughing because I had never seen an empty bus and the Magical Express check in was a ghost town. If this was foreshadowing the lines for the next 5 days I did not mind at all!!!

The bus took off at exactly 12:24. The bus driver was a little crazy but I think it was because of the strong winds, we were swerving A LOT. Then the movie stopped working which was kind of sad but I refused to let anything upset me on this trip so I let it roll off my back.

Before we knew it we were quickly approaching the gates of heaven

IMG_6557.jpg

Not a cloud in the sky, it was a little chilly but nothing at all compared to the Buffalo snow we had just left behind

IMG_6558.jpg

Andy and I formed a game plan for what we would do when we arrived. Then we waited patiently to arrive at the first resort we would drop off.

Tune In Next Time!!!

Joining in! Great job so far. That's so amazing that your fiance proposed to you in Disney!! That is my dream! I haven't found my Prince Charming yet but I always say that when I do, he has to propose to me in Disney or I don't see how the marriage is going to work. But really. haha. I'll have to go back and read your last TR to read all about it.

Hey! I loved through your last trip report and I am excited to read this one! I am a senior in college also and I am planning a graduation trip in May. What app do you have on your phone that counts down the days to your trip?

Hello and thanks for joining in!!! My is just around he corner you must be SO EXCITED. The app I have is for the iphone and it's called WDW Countdown. Its great because it lets you change the picture and the number of days shows up like notifications do on other apps on the home screen.

I Can’t Even Handle This Excitement!!!
March 4, 2012

When I last left off we were on the Magical Express and driving to our home away from home for the next few days.

On our way we passed by my all time favorite sign. BEST RIDE EVER!!!

IMG_6562.jpg

When we were on a family vacation when I was younger we convinced my cousin that that was the actual tower of terror.

Our first stop was Coronado Springs. Holy Moley!!! This was where Andy I were going to stay but we opted out of it because we wanted to have money to eat and shop. But boy oh boy, do I want to stay there someday. I kept telling Andy “let’s just get off here. It’s perfect!!!” So maybe next time. I mean I didn’t even step foot off of the bus and I am already ready to stay there.

Before I knew it, we passed McDonalds which would become the way we knew we were close to the hotel at night when we were exhausted. And we were through the security for all three of the All Star Resorts.

IMG_6564.jpg

Now I knew that these places were close but I had no Idea how close!!! All Star Movies was the last stop. Thankfully we didn’t stay at All Star Sport because the cheerleaders had taken over that one. We pulled in too quickly for me to ever get a good picture of the sign so umm here ya go

IMG_6566.jpg

We arrived and stepped off the bus onto the red carpet that they had set out, it was so cute and perfect I wish I would have gotten a picture of it. Here is our new home for the next few days.

photo.jpg

We quickly walked inside and headed over to the long line at online check in. It was exactly 10:05 so everyone and their mother was there waiting to check in.

IMG_6568.jpg

We waited a while, I’m not really sure how long but it was a pretty good amount of time.

IMG_6569.jpg

They told us that our room wasn’t ready but we gave them my phone number so that they could text me when it was. We also decided to upgrade to park hoppers so that later during the week we could meet up with Keirsten and Primo.

From there we headed into the gift shop for a quick look around. The theming to this resort is perfect. I really liked it, so precious.

IMG_6570.jpg

From there we went to the bathroom to change so that we could head out into the park. I made the choice to put my shorts on (a decision I would later regret). And then we headed up to put out bags in storage so that we could go and roam the Magic Kingdom until 2 am!!!

What cute little baggage carts. Really, I loved almost everything about this resort already and we had been there for like 30 seconds.

IMG_6571.jpg

So we handed off our luggage and went to get on a bus to the most magical place on earth

photo-2.jpg

Vinilimation in hand we were off we got on a bus at exactly 10:45 and the excitement literally was uncontainable. I texted Bobby to let him know we were there and where we should meet up when he finally got there.

IMG_6573.jpg

We were there and running from the bus stop to the baggage check at 11:00. 15 minute bus ride, not bad at all!!! We made it through the baggage check and the guy was really crabby he said “Welcome to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios or whatever park this is” I was a little thrown off but I hardly cared because I was to busy briskly walking through the gates of my happy place.

Now don’t let this picture fool you it looks really crowded but literally there was basically no one around

IMG_6575.jpg

First thing we did was run to the back right side of the park you know what that means right?!? Space Mountain fastpasses. As we entered Tomorrowland I was running around in circles and kicking my feet up because it was deserted.

IMG_6576.jpg

Then we hopped in line because it was only 15 minutes long!!! SO MUCH BETTER than the 90 minute waits in August.

To the left of this sign there is a video that plays, it’s from the late 80’s and can be very misleading because it shows clips from Space Mountain in Disneyland. Check it out haha you can tell because Disney World’s version you sit one by one and in Disneyland they sit two by two.

IMG_6577.jpg

We zipped through the line and I snapped this picture to send back home. In August that area would have been crammed full with people but not today!!!

photo-1.jpg

After an exciting first ride of the trip we decided to hop on one of my favorites to pass the time until our fastpasses were up.

IMG_6579.jpg

Literally, we are probably the happiest two people in the world at this exact moment

IMG_6581.jpg

I was still soaking in the fact that we were actually there, that this was it, I counted down and we were finally here. UNBELIVEABLE. Oh and that question I had the night before about would Disney be as magical even though my family wasn’t there with me. Well, sorry family but it was, it was just as magical and perfect as when we had left it in August.

IMG_6584.jpg

DISNEY IS PERFECT!!!

IMG_6586.jpg

After a quick spin around Tomorrowland we hopped off and went to use our fastpasses

IMG_6587.jpg

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!! OH MY GOD I LOVE DISNEY!!!

IMG_6588.jpg

So right before we got on Bobby texted me to say that he had arrived and would meet us out front when we got off the ride.

As soon as I saw him I literally took off and jumped on him. I hadn’t seen him since late December and I MISSED HIM SO MUCH!!! And I was in Disney with him, something we had always wanted to do together because we both love it there so much. It was actually happening.

So basically the pictures stop for a while because we had to much to catch up on. Since we had a little while to wait until our lunch reservation we decided to go shop in the Emporium and then we walked outside to watch the parade.

IMG_6590.jpg

I could hardly believe that there were so few people there but Bobby was telling be how it was actually really crowded compared to what it had been recently

IMG_6591.jpg

After the parade ended we walked and sat down in front of the Plaza so that we could catch up on everything. Such a beautiful view!!!

IMG_6592.jpg

It was such a beautiful day and I was in the happiest place on earth with two of the people I love most. How could it get any better?!? Food that’s how!!! We hadn’t eaten since the night before (not counting the crackers on the plane) so our stomachs were growling!!! Good thing it was almost time to eat

Just imagine if we were in the same grade... everyone wouldn't be able to handle our Disney obnoxiousness. Good thing we have our mutual Disney understanding!

I am so excited for you to do your College Program! And I hope you get to start your career with Disney... because that's exactly what I want to do after college, too! :goodvibes

I don't know if I have ever told you but you and Andy are SO cute together. :lovestruc And the fact that he proposed in Disney is just perfect. What a winner.

Haha it's going to be so fun to read this trip report because I know everyone from school! YAY!

Once Bobby gets back from the DCP, me and him are going to need to become friends and obsess over Disney together.

Okay I am going to come back and read the updates later, but I wanted to let you know that I am here and super excited to read this! :goodvibes

The Good The Bad and The Funny
March 4, 2012

We last left off at a quaint little table outside where we would be eating lunch that afternoon

IMG_6593.jpg

When I planned the sit down meals I knew I wanted to stick to places with lower prices, so I mainly planned lunches because usually they have the same menu but the prices are slightly lower. I figured, what the heck we have never been here so why not give it a whirl the place seemed reasonably prices and both Andy and I found something that we thought we might like on the menu.

We arrived to give them our names about 15 minutes early. We were given a buzzer and asked to take a seat. I knew that we were going to be seated right away and I was more than happy to sit outside in the sun and chat with Bobby about how much he was loving Disney life.

About 25 minutes later we went up to the podium. Andy and I were wearing out just engaged buttons and the guy at the counter must have thought they said “Just Married” because he asked how the honeymoon was going. I didn’t really know how to react so I just stood there and Bobby chimed in with “Ummmm, they just got here”. So that became a running joke of the trip “Happy Honeymoon!!!”

We were seated at a table that was literally squished into the corner of the main room. I didn’t realize how tiny this place was until we walked in. I suppose that maybe the table would have been more comfortable if we hadn’t asked to add Bobby to the reservation last minute but oh well.

Our waiter was… interesting. He was very peppy but a little on the strange side. Anyways. We ordered our drinks. Andy ordered a sprit to save money I ordered water with lemon and decided that if I got bored of it I would just drink his sprite. I forgot how yucky Florida water is so needless to say Andy definitely got his money’s worth on the $3 glass of pop with free refills.

Our order was take and pretty soon a family was place at the table behind us, but they might as well have been sitting at our table that’s how close they were. One of them had food allergies so the chef came out and talked with them. What confused me was that their meals came out before ours when we had been sitting there for quite a deal longer than they had.

Eventually our food came out. I didn’t get as many pictures this day as I would have liked seeing how I was so excited to talk with Bobby and my excitement of Disney just took over I needed to enjoy it and soak it all in.

So now for some food pictures:

I ordered Vegetarian Sandwich - fresh mozzarella, hummus, basil pesto, cucumber, roasted red pepper, tomato, and lettuce on a freshly baked foccaccia. I LOVE red peppers so I knew that I would like the sandwich no mater what. I asked them to hold the cucumbers, I thought about asking with no tomatoes but decided that I would live with them. I got a side of chips rather than the fries because when I searched the restaurant thread I saw that they had thick cut fries, which I don’t like.

IMG_6594.jpg

To my dismay there we no red peppers on it. Wah wah wah… it was basically a tomato sandwich, I wonder if I had asked to hold the tomato if I would have gotten just bread. The bread was good and so were the chips!!! I ended up picking half of the tomatoes off because it was just too much.

Andy ordered Turkey Sandwich - smoked turkey, bacon, lettuce, vine ripened tomato and mayonnaise on toasted multi-grain bread. He said, “it was good” shoulder shrug.

IMG_6595.jpg

All I remember about Bobby’s meal is that he kept loading on pepper to I because he said it was too plain.

Needless to say, been there ate that won’t be going back.

It cost us a total of $38.15 with Bobby’s cast member discount.

IMG_6596.jpg

From there we did a little wandering, no one in this group is big on making decisions so we walked until we got to splash mountain and decided to get fastpasses for it. From there we headed over to one of the scariest rides in Disney.

IMG_6597.jpg

I kid you not I am so scared of this ride. Always have been and I probably always will be.

IMG_6598.jpg

The line was actually the longest I have ever seen it. Bobby was freaking out because the crowds were the highest he had seen them since he got here. “Usually they are dragging people into line”. We got on the ride I remember getting really wet which I thought was strange. AND THEN WE SAW IT!!! I kid you not there was a guy standing on one of the porches of the houses to the right directly before we went under the bridge of the guy with the harry leg.

I WAS TERRIFIED!!! I texted Sam right away and was like OH MY GOD I SAW HIM AGAIN (we had seen someone standing there a few trip ago and no one believed us) she asked it I got a picture, the answer to that… no. I was too excited about seeing him again!!! It might have been George the one reason the ride terrifies me.

My soaking wet butt trudged over to in front of the castle so that we could watch the afternoon parade (upon Andy’s request, we made a list of things we NEEDED to to this time around and this was on there)

Does it get any better than this?!?!

IMG_6599.jpg

I haven’t actually watched a parade in I don’t know how long so I was actually really stoked. Cutest couple ever!!!

IMG_6602.jpg

Hello there!!! I want your job… PLEASE.

IMG_6604.jpg

I took this one for Sam. Pinocchio is her favorite.

IMG_6605.jpg

How precious

IMG_6607.jpg

And next was Andy’s favorite.

IMG_6610.jpg

One of my favorites. She was with Bert and he was the most perfect face character I have ever seen. He was adorable and I kind of fell in love.

IMG_6611.jpg

IMG_6612.jpg

And then MY ALL TIME FAVORITE <3 she is perfect. Bobby made sure that we stood on a certain side of the street because he knows I love Ariel. He has seen the parade so many times that he knows exactly who is where. Perks of having a cast member friend.

IMG_6616.jpg

Sam’s favorite princess.

IMG_6618.jpg

From there we headed over to Splash Mountain to use our fastpasses before the sun went down and it got even colder

IMG_6619.jpg

From there we thought that I was a good time to go back to the room and finish check in. Before heading down I had requested the Toy Story building, that was basically the reason that we chose the All Star over the Pop. Andy loves Toy Story so we were hoping to get a room there so we paid the extra $90 to get a “preferred” room. We also requested a king bed, I knew that probably wouldn’t happen because those are the handicap accessible rooms but it was worth a shot.

We walked up to the counter and they pulled out a map.

Drum roll please…
We ended up in the Dalmatian Section. Wah wah wah… BUT we were on the first floor so we still had a shot at the king bed!!! We wandered to the room a little sad, but we were in Disney and NOTHING was going to get us down. Opened the door. No king bed. Also, it was an adjoining room again wah wah wah. From there it only got worse. We had elephants for neighbors. Literally this was the loudest family I had ever heard in my life. They must have been towards the end of their trip or so we were hoping) because everyone was yelling at one another.

I decided it was worth a shot to go down to the desk and request a room change. After all, it was Disney and they are always trying to make people happy. This was our unlucky day, I explained the situation and the lady at the front desk , although very friendly was of no help. “We have had over 600 people check in today and there are no rooms left anywhere. Come back tomorrow morning and maybe we can work something out then” I found that hard to believe but we decided it wasn’t worth fighting a room is a room and we would be in the park anyways.

So we went to the food court and bought a refillable mug. Then we headed back out to the bus stop to re-meet up with Bobby for 2 am Magic Hours. For some reason I love this picture.

IMG_6621.jpg

We made it back to the park and Bobby was on a ride with Mike a friend of ours from school. We told him we would meet up with him at Andy’s favorite restaurant for dinner which took us to Frontierland.

IMG_5089.jpg

We ordered our food. Neither of us were really all that hungry, which is weird because those sandwiches earlier weren’t all that filling. We decided to split a taco bowl because you can’t go to Pecos Bill’s and NOT get the taco bowl!!! Especially when it’s one of your companion’s favorite foods on Disney property.

Bobby ordered got his food and went to find us a table while we went and filled up on things from the toppings bar. MMMMMM, that’s one of my favorite reasons to eat here.

Bobby ended up finding us a table in the room I have always wanted to eat in but never have because we were ALWAYS there during busy season and we are lucky to find 8 seats together anywhere (another plus to traveling with a smaller group)

IMG_6623.jpg

Maybe this is Andy’s and my favorite restaurant because it is a tiny version of our favorite sit down meal (San Angel Inn). I never realized how similar they were until Bobby said something when we were eating.

Ok so more food pictures!!! Delicious taco bowl covered in hot cheese mmmmm. I doused my have with sour cream, mushrooms onions and salsa. Andy’s side was left relatively plain. I also got a side of pickles because I ALWAYS get a side of pickles when they are available.

IMG_6622.jpg

We didn’t even finish it all Bobby was so hungry that the asked if he could use “the floor” of our bowl to finish eating the meat from his. It was so funny because he didn’t know what to call it so it came out “guys can I have ummm… the floor or whatever you call it of your taco?”

So we finished eating and sat around and talked again. It was a reoccurring theme of the day. Usually I would be like NO!!! We have to go go go . But since we got up at 4am that morning I was enjoying the rest.

Up next some Splash Mountain!!! How would this ride result? Would we get wetter than we did on Pirates or would it be a Splashless mountain…

Tune In Next Time!!!

Hi  I read along with the crazy 8's and I'm sure this will be just as good, only missing six.

joining in!

YAY!!! Thanks so much. I hope that you enjoy :)

Hi  I read along with the crazy 8's and I'm sure this will be just as good, only missing six.

Great to have you back. In my opinion the best two and biggest Disney lovers of the eights are on this trip ;) haha although the others may disagree.

Excuse Me, Do You Sell Pants Here?
March 4, 2012

After eating a delicious dinner we decided to go stuff ourselves now with more food or snack but into the logs of Splash Mountain. Yes, that’s right I didn’t know it was allowed anymore but we crammed three across on one of those tiny logs on Splash. On the way in we actually saw one of the girls who Andy and I went to high school with, she’s doing the college program and works attractions at Splash. She yelled at us for bringing the terrible weather with us haha it was funny to see her bundled up in a big burlap parka while I had on shorts and a north face.

I wish I would have taken a picture of the picture because it was hilarious none of us wanted to get wet but we couldn’t duck down because there was not extra space and did I mention we were in the very back row with like little kids in the front.

While we were enjoying our ride briar rabbit and his friends were causing quite a bit of commotion up stream so we stopped several times and that’s when we saw this!!!

So I snapped a picture on my phone and sent it to EVERYONE. This was even creepier then all the dead chickens on the boat in August because as we slowly floated by him his head just turned all the way around. TERRFYING!!!

Needless to say we got SOAKED due to mad weight placement. I walked around the rest of the night with a wet bottom and did I mention that I will never again complain about the hot August weather in Florida because it was FREEZING!!! I literally stopped in every store and hunted them for pants but there was no such luck for me. I was going to have to stay in my wet shorts if I wanted to stay at the Magic Kingdom until 2 am!!!

Just as we were going down the big drop The Magic Memories and You started. It is literally my favorite thing of Disney’s EVER. So we rushed to try to get to see it but we didn’t make it. Boo, we made it as far as Adventureland and decided to stop running because it was basically over. Then Bobby told me the SADDEST story ever. The little girl who sings wishes was a Make- A-Wish child who’s dream was to sing at one of the Disney Fireworks shows, so they let her record it but before she ever got to see it she passed away. I literally stood there for a little while and was heartbroken.

We rushed to try to find a place to watch wishes from but the crowds were crazy so there was a lot of bobbing and weaving going on. We finally made it down into the rose garden on a little back path (the place where we ended up seeing it in August and my mother was sure Andy was going to propose). We leaned against the railing and waited for the show to being.

I was literally crying whether is be because I had been up since 4 am, that I had gotten to see Bobby for the first time in months, or that he was tanner than me (stupid Little Women), the sad wishes story or just the simple fact that I WAS IN DISNEY!!! I think that all of those things factored into this picture.

IMG_6624.jpg

Before we knew it “Star Light, Star Bright. First star I see tonight” was playing and I was an emotional wreck.

IMG_6626.jpg

Tinkerbell literally flew right over my head and this is where everyone started making fun of how I take pictures. I zoom in as close as I can and then wait till the very last second to take them, which usually results in a poopy picture like this one…

IMG_6628.jpg

I didn’t get many fireworks pictures because I just waned to enjoy my time while I could

IMG_6632.jpg

It was an interesting night, I’m not sure if it was because we weren’t plopped down right in front of the castle or if it was because it was windy but I never realized how much the fireworks are not directly behind the castle. It was either watch the fire works or look at the castle. Either way it was beautiful and Bobby and I both cried.

From there we made a mad dash to Space Mountain. Bobby is use to doing the parks either by himself or with one other person so he was not stopping for anything. We lost him for a hot second but me being the maneuvered of Disney crowds found him in no time.

We grabbed fastpasses

IMG_6634.jpg

and then hopped in the relatively short standby line.

IMG_6636.jpg

I love that this ride wakes me up so easily. I was running on empty because we had gotten up so early but there was no time for slowing down and I sprang back to life after a quick zip through space. Although my eye was starting to get REALLY red from exhaustion I wasn’t going to let that stop me!!!

We had a few minutes until we could use our fastpasses so we headed over to one of my personal favorites. One that Andy likes to sleep on and Bobby had never done. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? He has been to Disney more than I have and he lives there now, how has he never done this?!? What a deprived life.

IMG_6637.jpg

The kids behind us we SO RUDE, they would not stop talking and they just kept saying rude things about the show like “Oh my god, I can’t wait until I am lucky enough to have a car phone!!!” and other smart-aleck remarks like that. If you don’t want to be here LEAVE!!! You are running my happy place so be quite. Also, there was this really funny older man sitting next to me who “figured out how the scenes on either side work” when it rotates behind the scrim you can sometimes see it moving and he thought he was so clever for seeing it that anytime it moved he would nudge his friend and be like “look!!! Look at that!!! You can see it move behind the screen” Bobby and I could not stop laughing because he did it EVERYTIME.

So we ran away from the annoying people who were not appreciating Disney magic to my satisfaction and made our way back over to Space Mountain. Once again awakened but still freezing I decided to go to every gift shop in tomorrow land and look for pants. No luck, Bobby asked on of the cashiers where we might be able to find some and they pointed us to the Emporium off we went.

All the pants they had were either really light weight male pajama pants that would not keep me warm fro the $50 cost and XL Minnie Mouse pink sweat pants that I have been wanting forever but I needed a small. While I looked for pants Bobby decided to spend all of his money on new clothes. He just kept saying “it’s ok because I get a discount” haha I am in so much trouble when I move down there, I am going to be broke the entire time.

When he went to check out they asked if he wanted to purchase a blanket at a reduced price because he spent like over a hundred dollars. The answer to that? YES!!!

We walked out of the Emporium and I ripped it open as fast as I could

IMG_6638.jpg

Bobby thought I was insane but he had pants on so I didn’t care!!!

IMG_6639.jpg

Snuggly warm and I haven’t spent a night without it since <3 best purchase of the trip.

IMG_6640.jpg

DISNEY!!!! THIS PALCE IS MAGIC

IMG_6641.jpg

From there we decided to head someplace inside so we headed over to

IMG_6642.jpg

Turns out one of Bobby’s roommates works here and was on the closing shift. So we visited wit him. I was so over tired I curled up in my blanket and laid down on the ground with my opera glasses on. I wish I would have gotten a picture boy was I a sight. My eyes were hurting SO BAD I could hardly keep them open during the show Andy and Bobby made fun of me for crying because my eyes were non stop watering.

We left and Bobby decided rather than take the bus back to his apartment (apparently it takes FOREVER) he was going to get a ride home with his friend. SO we waved goodbye to Bobby and continued on our 2 am Magic Kingdom Spree.

At this point I was really wanting a bed and I was so sad that Big Thunder wasn’t open!!!

We decided to go on all of the fantasyland rides that night and get them out of the way before the little kid crowds set in when we were there later.

We did Snow White for the last time ever (we thought that was the case in August but it wasn’t) and then we did Peter Pan.

I am so mad at myself. I said when I left “I am never going to put the camera away” I wanted so many pictures but that didn’t happen. I am always just enjoying it so much that I forget. Oh well all the more reason for another trip!!!

We were lagging. I think it was around 11:30 when we got in line for Peter Pan. By the time we were done it was a little before 12 and I was beat. I couldn’t handle it anymore but I was not going to give up that easily.

We decided we would head out but first we would stop at the Main Street Bakery and get something delicious to share. But first we had to say goodnight to my beloved castle

Oh my god dreams do come true <3 It was at this moment that I couldn’t believe I was actually back so sooner than I had anticipated. It was at that moment that I missed my family so much. And It was at that moment that I was so thankful for every single one of the trips my parents managed to take us on. I literally was so blessed growing up and I was so happy that so many of my memories include Disney and the ones I love.

IMG_6645.jpg

Like I said we moved on for some dessert which ended up being…

IMG_6646.jpg

Chocolate cake!!! It was so good. I couldn’t decide between coffee cake and this but it hit the spot, I only wish that we would have gotten a drink.

Ohm num

IMG_6647.jpg

My eyes are so red!!! So you better get one with them closed and it will just look like I am really enjoying it…

IMG_6648.jpg

I believe that we headed out at roughly 12:30 or 1 am. Begrudgingly. We made it to the bus stop. I could believe how long of a day it had been!!! Holy moley was I tired.

We got back to the room after about a 15-20 minute ride/nap.

Not pictures please

IMG_6649.jpg

I could not wait to get into bed. I was beat. My eyes couldn’t stay open anymore and only had like 5 hours of sleep a head of us. So I put my tired red eyes to bed. Don’t believe me check these puppies out. Warning graphic red eye coming up.

IMG_6652.jpg

So, that about wraps up our first day and oh how exciting it was!!!
