We love rack rate! Aug 1-17 More NEW pics 9/1!

Love the pictures from Yachtsman, Elizabeth. It has been one of our favorite dining locations. Bob and I are very excited to be going back next month!

Sounds like the bus service has been getting better and that you've had some excellent dinners! :thumbsup2 Happy belated birthday -- that cake looked amazing! And grand marshalls??? How cool is that!?! :wizard:

See what slowing down a little gets you! Congrats on getting to be Grand Marshalls! That's just too cool.

The food is looking so good, but I can see how the DxDDP can lose it's value. At least you only have it for part of the time. Then by the time you stop you'll be so full you'll save money on the food you don't eat. ;) Good luck finding snacks! I was just working on our list of available snack credit items yesterday. Gotta get the good ones!

Hi, Debbie! I think Tuesday is Epcot for us. We switch to the Poly on Monday.

It is crowded. I have always said I don't notice fluctutations in crowds, but this trip has been CROWDED. Yesterday the wait for RnRC was 80 minutes, ToT was 60. I can't recall ever seeing ToT with a wait that long! Combined with the heat it has been challenging to get anything done. It seems like we do maybe 2 or 3 rides each day and that's it.

:scared1: DH complained that it was crowded in November when we went last year, I think this trip will make him appreciate our November week much more this year. I don't have any expectations for this trip, we're just going to go with the flow, and meet some friends:scared1: !

We're back for a little break.

We went to early entry at AK. They were checking room keys! I have never seen that before. All 3 of us always carry our keys, so not a big deal, just a surprise. We saw janet and Riley almost as soon as we got off the bus, so that was perfect. The boys really enjoy each other's company.

We got FPs for Everest, rode Primeval Whirl (no wait), Dinosaur (no wait), back to Everest, and once we finished that it started to pour rain. We looked in some shops, traded pins, then it was time for our breakfast ADR at Tusker.

Janet is doing Tusker another day, so we split up. After breakfast we did the Pangani trail (LOVE the gorillas!). We were going to do the safari with Janet but we took forever on the trail so we will meet up with them another day. We did the safari and it POURED rain again. We decided we were tired of being rained on so we came back to SSR.

We only waited about 10 minutes for the bus this morning, and about the same this afternoon. I am not timing the waits as precisely anymore because the service just isn't that bad.

DTD tonight with dinner at Puck's. :)

I am so glad the boys are getting along.

Sounds like another marvelous day in WDW.:goodvibes

I've been reading along and living vicariously through you  Your birthday sounded lovely and I'm happy that you got your cake :thumbsup2 Isn't being in a Disney parade the best? It is amazing riding along waving to everyone :goodvibes It is definitely a Disney memory that we will never forget as I'm sure you will agree. I'm also glad to hear that the busses aren't bad especially with the crowd levels being so large.

Really enjoying your live report and all the pics! Grand Marshalls, how fun is that! And your meals really look delicious!

Allyson :)

Thanks, everyone! :)

Nothing exciting to report for last night or this morning. I will get pics of Puck's and Garden Grill up soon. We just got in from Epcot and we're going to grab a nap before dinner at Narcoosee's.

Tomorrow we move to the Poly so we have to get everything packed up. We are just doing that resort photo shoot in the morning, then we'll get a cab and switch resorts. Still, we have stuff spread out all over this room so it will be a pain to gather it all up.

We're headed your way this morning, so you can go ahead and send the crowds home now. See ya soon!

My updates are lagging.

I woke up this morning not feeling well at all. Of course today was our resort photo shoot and switching to the Poly so no time to convalesce.

We got our photos done, cab came to the room right on time (with a van to make sure they could fit all the luggage), we moved to the Poly. We checked in about 10 AM, but our room was not ready. Our concierge level room!!! Seems we hit the upgrade jackpot!! But I didn't feel well enough to truly appreciate it.

We went to breakfast at Ohana where we saw ONE character out of FOUR. Not that we go to character breakfasts specifically to see characters, but they aren't cheap if you don't get to see the characters! I didn't want to eat, I wanted to sleep. We called after breakfast, still no room. We looked around a bit, then DH got DS's swim trunks from Bell Services and he went swimming. I sat in the shade near the pool and put my head down on the table.

I called back at 1 PM, and the room was ready!! YAY!!

This room is incredible. We have a view of the castle. It's a shame we're only here 2 nights!!

Debbie - We'll see you guys soon!! :)

How magical your vacation has been!! I am sorry the sickies decided to join you. :wizard: :wizard: that they move out quickly!!

Contrats on the upgrade! :cool1: How wonderful having a castle view :thumbsup2 Can't wait to see the pics!

I hope you start feeling better soon so you can enjoy CL at the Poly!!

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. We just arrived here on Saturday and Sunday was good crowd wise for us but today at EPCOT was insane! WE got three rides in that's it and we left. I hate standing around in lines. I know that sounds funny when you're here. But when you plan hard to try and avoid lines. Anyway we're in Disney so it can't be all that bad:lmao: Congrats on the room, may it will make you feel better:goodvibes

I guess if I have to be sick I might as well have a really good room to lay around in! ;)

I do feel a little bit better. I took a nap about 3:30 PM, woke up with my teeth chattering. My temp is just over 100. I took some Advil, sent DS and DH to the parks, and went back to sleep. DH has looked forward to EMH at AK the whole time we have been here, and he ended up not going. :guilty: DS wanted to go to MK.

On the flip side, DH is FINALLY getting to eat at Terrace Noodle Station (blech!) so he is happy. :rotfl:

We still had 7 meal credits and 6 snack credits this afternoon. It kills me that we will lose those. Well, we'll lose most of them. I suppose I should order room service and use 2 more meal credits. I think DS is going to get some krispy treats at MK tonight to finish off the snacks.

I'm so sorry you're sick! Sick on vacation... there oughta be a law! :headache: Here's some pixie dust for a speedy recovery. :wizard: Feel better soon!!

Elizabeth - I am so sorry that you were not feeling well today! But your upgrade does make it nice to lay around and look out the balcony doors.

Elizabeth-
Hope you are feeling better! I am loving your report!! How lucky so far with the parade and upgrade!!!!!!
