We love rack rate! Aug 1-17 More NEW pics 9/1!

Yuck!! Gum isn't the bestest friend for laundry:lmao:

Not so much! :rotfl2: I am glad we caught it before it got to the dryer. As it was the dryer stopped working after about 3 loads anyway. :headache: It must have gotten too hot, because after it cooled down it started working again.

DH and I are almost completely packed. I decided to scrub my Teva sandals and the darn things stayed wet ALL DAY. Note to self: Those sandals are not going to be the best choice for rainy days! :scared: They are finally dry, I just need to stick them in a suitcase.

There were a couple of things we discovered we didn't have, so I grabbed those at Target today. Most of the OTC meds I keep for Disney had expired, so I replaced those with fresh ones. I made sure I packed plenty of ibuprofen. I have a bad back and for the past month it has really been bothering me.

I printed off a list of instructions for the pet sitter. Our usual lady will be gone part of the time so a new lady will be helping out. They are coming by tonight so we can meet the trainee and she can meet our cats. Unfortunately we packed all day yesterday instead of cleaning, so our place has that cozy, crime scene look about it. :rolleyes1

Speaking of crime scene, our burglar alarm decided last night about 10 PM to make this annoying chirping noise. Every 5 seconds for more than 3 hours. DH and I took turns getting up and jabbing random buttons to try to make it stop. We think it has an internal battery that must be going dead. I called the guys to come service it today.

I still need to pack all of DS's stuff. I need to take DS for a haircut. I am getting my hair cut on Saturday (color too!). I still haven't figured out what to do about a pedicure. I guess I'll get one Saturday after my hair appointment. I need to get travelers checks. DS has a check-up next Monday.

I should call and see if we can get the cats in to see the vet - they are past due for check-ups. They are 100% indoor cats though, so if we are tardy with their vaccinations it really isn't that big of a deal. They run and hide if the door opens. It would never occur to them to try to go outside.

Last but not least I need to decide if I want to keep our rental car reservations or cancel them. I don't want to mess with a rental car.

plans sound good. My daugther and I got our haircut today. I'm hoping to fit ina pedicure by the end of the week too!
i bought a pair of capri crocs that I've been trying out for another set of shoes for Disney. They are comfortable so far!

Oh I like that one!

me too.:thumbsup2

Elizabeth-I think you are actually Cassidy's mom. You and she have a bag and shoe thing.:rotfl2: She actually bought herself a new bag for the mission trip. None of our bags were just right.

Suitcase day is off to a slow start. :rolleyes1
It began with gathering up the laundry. It seems DH has been stockpiling dirty clothes off in some remote corner of the bedroom, and he decided today would be a good day to drag it all out. :headache: Great.

I pulled tags off of three pairs of shorts for DS. I have 8 more pairs with tags still on them, but I want to see if I think he will actually need all of them before I de-tag the rest.

At first I could only locate 11 of my bras, which was a problem since I know I have WAY more than that. There are 6 waiting to be washed, but I know I have more than 17. I finally found 2 gallon Ziplocs full of bras in a drawer. Very good! Now we're rolling! :thumbsup2

Unfortunately DH's expedition to recover his laundry left him hungry, so now he is having breakfast instead of getting the suitcases out.

okay, seriously 17+ bras???? Good golly Miss Molly I thought the shorts were bad. ;)

Yay for more Crocs! I can't find Croc sandals that fit my feet. :confused3

I am actually not a big shoe girl. I do have 7 pairs of Crocs, but they are all the same style.

I only wear 2 brands of bras, and when they are on clearance I can't resist. :rolleyes1

10 days until departure!

We met the asst. pet sitter last night. She seems very nice. :)

Nothing else trip related going on today. :confused3

I do need to figure out the rental car thing.

you are a bigger shoe girl than her mom....I think I've got 12 pairs of shoes TOTAL!!

and I have 6 bras and I thought I was excessive (but where exactly do they run off to?? I can't find three of them).

Mine were in the middle drawer in 2 gallon Ziploc bags. The drawer below the swimsuits and above the miscellaneous socks. Maybe yours are there too? ;) I have lots of panties, too, but since those have a dedicated drawer I don't lose them. :rotfl:

I definitely have more than 12 pairs of shoes.

BUT (and we have talked about this before) I don't have 2 separate wardrobes for work and for casual. It is all one huge conglomerate. If I couldn't wear Crocs and flip flops to work I probably wouldn't have so many pairs.

I have been feeling like you've been rubbing off on me. (In a good way)

It would be so nice to not have to have two almost seperate wardrobes (they often share shirts).

Congrats on less than 2 hands before you are in the World!!:cool1:

Theresa - Shopping is GOOD! :thumbsup2
I rarely pay full price for anything, so that helps me justify the purchases. Ironically, when I do pay full price it is usually for shoes!

I feel like time has come to a complete standstill. :headache: And as slow as this week is going, I know next week will go even S L O W E R. I guess that is one drawback of getting everything done ahead of time.

The pediatrician's office called this morning and cancelled DS's appointment for next week, so we can scratch that off the "to-do" list. The girl said our Dr. has a family emergency. She didn't say what it was but she implied that it was really serious. :guilty: "Family emergency" is what I call it when we go to WDW during the school year, but I suspect our Dr. is not going to WDW. They rescheduled DS for the day after we get back, which is good because I am off that day and it is still before school starts back.

8 days until departure!!

DS's top lip is horribly chapped. He has developed a habit of licking it all the time, which I am trying to discourage. He has been putting Blistex on it but we can't seem to get it healed so it stays healed. :confused3

My bangs were hanging in my eyes this morning. The hairspray in my cabinet wasn't working - the pump thing wouldn't spray. I finally got so aggravated that I went and got the small one out of my carry-on. That one wouldn't spray, either! But better to discover that now than at WDW in the 100% humidity. So I guess I will need another travel hairspray before we leave.

I hope you have a wonderful trip! I can't wait to hear the reports on your daily entertainment.

5 more working days 'til Disney!

I bought some Aquaphor for DS to put on his lip, and I am making him drink everything through a straw.

I bought another travel hairspray. And another bottle of eye drops, because the ones I have aren't expired but they have been open for awhile.

Is it time to go yet? :yay:

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

One guy for every working day left!!!

Sometimes Blistex is the aider in lip biting (it's like an addiction)

We were using Soft Lips, but it wasn't doing much good. Switched to Blistex, and his lip looked HORRIBLE yesterday. We started with the Aquaphor just before lunch yesterday and by last night his lip was SO much better! I am going to keep a very close eye on him in case we need to see the Dr. before we leave. Hopefully between the Aquaphor and the straws it will be OK.

One more week to go!

I am still on the fence about the rental car. Everything else seems to be OK.

you have to have something to fuss about don't you???:goodvibes

I think I will make you proud on Sunday....I have every intention of spending the afternoon shopping and getting NOTHING for anybody but me!!:thumbsup2
