I love that you are going to make the Hidden Mickeys at dinner a tradition.
Everyday is a good day for a picture of a zebra dome!!! Thanks!
It's goofy-just like our family!

I think it might be kinda fun to think of different ways to make Hidden Mickey's using dinner items and our face...might be kinda
interesting...
I'm with ya on the ZD! I was so bummed I was too ill to eat them back in November, and (!!!)-we didn't make it to AKL in January.

December, December, December! And until then, I'll live through your trip and the ZD's you'll be eating SO soon!
Ok... I am officially joining in! I am still way back at the breakfast at Kona on your TR, but I couldn't wait til I was all caught up to make some comments!
Henry is adorable!! We took my second born when he was about Henry's age and it made the trip so much cooler to notice the world through his eyes! We had other guests who would comment about how much his smile made their day. It sounds like you experienced a lot of that too!
I can totally see how a frozen pizza with TV would be an awesome night on vacation! That was on my list of things I would never do until I became a mom. Now, a night on vacation where I could relax with my hubby while the kids slept... Heaven! I am totally picturing that dance of joy after moving the PnP with a sleeping baby inside. Again, total mom moment!
We actually bought that train hoodie when we were there in Jan 08. Liam (my younger son) had some kind of weird bug and (TMI alert) had some of the worst diarrhea I've ever seen at Pinocchio's Village Haus. We needed a new outfit immediately and that was the only thing warm enough. While I didn't want my little guy to be sick, I was sure glad to have a reason to buy such a cute outfit!
Oh and I have serious camera envy! I looked into buying a dSLR last time I upgraded my camera but realized I was so far out of my league and went with a high end P&S. While I love my camera, I am getting close to its limits and just said to my hubby that if we had an extra grand sitting around

I was ready to upgrade. Are you shooting with the kit lens? Your photos are wonderful!!
Ok... off to catch up on the TR!
WELCOME! Thanks for reading!
Thank you for the compliment on Henry,

this was a very fun age to take him to WDW! He was in awe of everything!! I loved watching his eyes light up, and yep, LOTS of comments on his smiling, how cute he was, etc. It's always fun to get those comments!
The pizza/TV night, and the PnP dance moves were total Mom moments! It was a great night, we think about that time often. It was just wonderful to relax in the beauty of our villa and enjoy each other and not have to worry about a THING.
I am so sorry to hear about the diarrhea! UGH. I can relate though. Just wait as you get further in the TR.

The train outfit wasn't at the shop where we had to buy a new outfit, otherwise it so would have been mine!!
Thank you for the compliment on the pictures too! Yep, we are shooting off the kit lens, which is actually poorly rated by the experts. We keep meaning to buy a better one, but being that we just shoot for fun, it's not a necessity. We LOVE our camera. It is awesome. We shoot many times in the completely auto mode, or in the mode where everything is auto except you determine if you use a flash or not. (I'm sure there is a more proper term, but I don't know it!

) For Illuminations/Spectro/Wishes we actually take advantage of the camera's manual modes and adjust the f-stop, the shutter speed and the ISO. (There are very few Spectro pics on this TR, but in November I took a TON).
The money was difficult to part with in paying for the camera, but it was worth every stinkin' penny. We love it. I think the body is down to under $500 now and a lens can be fairly cheap. Joe said they just came out with a newer one, so this one is dropping in price pretty quickly.
Love the videos Brook!! Henry is so cute!! I almost remember mine being that small!! Enjoy every minute. Mine 2 DS's are now 16 & 20 & it seems like yesterday they were learning words & colors, talking & walking then you think "where did the time go"?? But they are still like kids when it comes to Disney. I think that is why I love going so much-lots of fun & family times!!
Thank you! That is so sweet that your kids can still be kids at Disney! That truly is the magic of it though, everyone can be a kid. I hope Henry never goes through a "too cool for Disney" stage!
That was really cool! I don't think I've ever seen a duck perch on someone's hand before.
Me neither, it was mad crazy! And really sweet that the Captain knew this duck like a buddy!
I've heard that from several folks. I may have to sqeeze in a visit this time around and check it out.
If you can do it, it's worth it! I bet your kids would LOVE it, esp the huge desserts!
Do they really need to ask?
No joke!
No doubt! That looked AWESOME!
Excellent update![/quote]
It was awesome! It was hard to choose from the many excellent choices on the menu. I look forward to going back and trying another.
Wow I got like 5 pages behind. You were not the only one behind on subscriptions!
Dinner at Beaches sounds wonderfull. That Mickey sundae was seriously the cutest thing I have seen in awhile. We except of course your adorable child and mine. BTW too cute in ref to Henry talking! Brooklyn said two as clear as day yesterday I was thrilled.
So what did you do to make DIS mad at you and eat all your posts?
Beaches & Cream was really good!! I hope we can visit again on a trip in the near future...maybe even December.
That is so great about Brooklyn saying "two"! Isn't it fun? I remember several months ago, before Henry really started talking one day he mimicked a toy and said "cow" soooo clearly. It was bizzare coming from this little tiny baby who only babbled! It was so funny!
I have no idea what I did to the DIS!

Maybe I didn't update my TR enough! It was so frustrating. First time the boards went down, and the other time I got a "token error". I had loaded the page the day before with all the comments and started working on my replies, then came back the next morning to finish them, hit Submit and basically my page expired.
Hi Brooke,
I just caught up with your entire trip report (thanks for the links in the first post

). Henry is simply adorable! I cannot wait to read the last few installments!
Hello! Welcome!! No problem on the links-they makes things quick and easy to get caught up on!

I should have another update on Thursday!
LOVE the video clips! Henry is just so cute! It is so much fun to see how they progress in their speech! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! I am so excited about his talking, and love watching him learn, I just had to share!! Ooozing with pride of my little man.
The Henry videos are adorable! He's such a big boy, I can't believe how old he looks

:
Loved the pictures from the Beach Club!
Thank you! I know it, he grows up every day it seems. Tonight at dinner Joe was looking at him and said "You look so big today!" and he was right...I think he grew up a little more while we were at work!
The Beach Club is a beaaaaaaaautiful resort. I REALLY want to stay there sometime!
OMG Brook! What ADORABLE video you have of Henry!!!!!!!! He's talking SO well, LOVE how he says "Daddy"..too funny! My Cole was doing the SAME thing, up until about a week ago, now he's running around saying Dada everywhere....he spends more time with Mommy so I guess everyone that loves him is Mommy!!

You captured some cute moments of him for sure and I have to say, he's getting SO big SO fast!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!! I'm glad Henry isn't alone in calling Daddy, "Mommy"! Since day ONE I have looked at Henry and in sign language and out loud said "Mommy loves you" or "Mommy loves Henry". I was always referring to myself in the 3rd person, so I think he picked up on that and now everyone is Mommy!

But, just recently we have figured out he knows who Daddy is. When I ask him where Daddy is, he points right to Joe. So now, it's just putting those sounds together...he's 19 months, Cole is a bit older, so maybe we have a few more months of "Mommy" to go.
He is getting so big...and it just flys by! Pretty soon I have to start thinking about his SECOND birthday!
