We love Donald Duck, oh yes we do! - Link to the PTR - COMPLETE

Great update!!!! Great pics!! Henry is so adorable Brook, how is he feeling? I think I missed that post..sorry!
Oh, that burger looked so yummy! lol Is it lunch yet?! lol

Thank you! :goodvibes Henry is feeling MUCH better. He is coughing still a bit, but has slept through the night again the past two nights. His appetite is returning and he's much happier!

I, on the other hand, have come down with a nasty cold! But, I'm pushing on through it!

36 minutes until lunch for me...and man, a cheeseburger does sound GOOD!

Too funny, I never heard of the Shamrock Shake! You're right, they don't have them ANYWHERE around here :confused3

I love all the pictures! We haven't been to Mickey and Minnie's houses since 1992 so it was fun to see all the little details!

Some mall in Jersey is the closest. It's just WRONG! That many McDonald's and not one carries the glorious Shamrock Shake?!

Glad you liked the tour through the houses! I bet after Henry gets older we won't bother with Toontown either. But, it's really fun for little ones his age! Do you recall back in 1992 could you play in Mickey's house?

More great updates! I missed the Palm tree at Minnies House the last time. WIll have to look for it in August!:rotfl:

I'm lovin it! (ok corny McDonald's joke just for you Brook!) :lmao:

The Shamrock shake must not be in the southern states... because as Soonergirl said... I've never seen them and I'm in Texas. But you can guarantee I will be driving by MikeyD's this afternoon when I pick up Dash! :rolleyes1

Back when I was in highschool.... my hs bf worked at Dairy Queen and they had a mint m&m blizzard which I was allllllllllll about. Which explains what's allllllllllll around my body now too! They're Minty curves! :rotfl:

Love the pics of the castle and the details of MK and CR. I remember when they first started selling those little corner stones. I wanna say it was over 500$ to buy one and that was back in the early 90s. Any other DISers remember? Cus I could totally be wrong here.

Gotta make it to Toon Town next time since Jack-Jack will be nearly two. I think he'll love it.

The Wave sounds great but I'm scared it's not gonna take off. I haven't heard one review on TR Board or Dining Board that has said it was BUSY! Uh oh!

Can't wait for more corny jokes! Henry looks so cute with those rosey cheeks! :lovestruc

Will be anxiously awaiting moreeeeeeeeeeeeeee! And I too had a little unplanned spending because I forgot something. Maybe I should include that in my TR! Thanks for the idea! :rotfl2:

Thanks! The Palm Tree is so dorky, yet hilarious. I love that kinda of humor.

 "I'm lovin' it!"

That is so sad that you guys are denied the Shamrock Shake! I really don't understand why it isn't at every McDonalds. :sad2:

I love your "Minty curves" comment!! I'll call mine french fry curves! ;)

$500 for a little stone. Wowsers. But, I can see the attraction anyway! I think TyRy actually owns one - Ty, you around? I know for sure she has her face (and her DH, and her DFIL & DMIL too!) on the things at Epcot. I am recalling from her TR a stone at MK too...

I bet Jack-Jack will love Toontown! The play park is really great, the ground is soft, 2 slides, and stuff for the to crawl through. It's pretty big too, so even with lots of other kids/parents it wasn't jammed pack in there. In December we will head back for sure and do the Mickey greet. Henry will be over the moon!!!!!

I hope the Wave makes it. I wonder why it hasn't taken off yet, it really is yummy! Maybe with BLT opening business will pick up?

No problem on the idea! I hope it was something simple...:scared: I also hope to get my next update in today....we'll see!

:lmao: :lmao: I laughed out loud at this! I've got some extra curves myself, but alas, they aren't from Dairy Queen, we don't have any left around here. :sad2: Everytime we drive to Dallas I make DH stop at one so can have a dipped cone! Yum!

Oh, how I wish they had Shamrock Shakes at our McDonald's!!! They sound and look very yummy!!!

I am shocked at the state of Mickey's house -- I never would have thought he was so messy!!!

That bacon cheeseburger is making my stomach growl!!! I wonder if I can convince Charles to go to Fuddrucker's tonight?

Wow, what an update! I love all the details you take in. I agree, Mickey's house should really be more interactive. We did Minnie's house first and the boys had a blast exploring all the different parts of it, Mickey's house was a real disappointment after that!

If I had to guess about the monorail question, it goes something like this. There are 2 monorail tracks side by side. One monorail runs clockwise and the other counterclockwise. By having 1 dedicated line for the resorts, they only need a platform on 1 side of the rails at each resort. Also, when you consider how many guests they must transport from the parking lot to MK, it probably makes sense that they don't stop and try to pick up more at the contemporary.

I laughed out loud too - she's a riot!

Mine could could be from DQ - DQ French Fries! (which I had with my lunch today....:rolleyes1)

That's strange that you have no DQ's left...I think DQ was started in OK!

I know, you'd think with Mickey's celebrity status he could hire a housekeeper!

Oooh Fuddruckers....I've heard wonderful things! I've never been there though! Red Robin is another dreamy burger place. :cloud9:

I bet you are right about the monorail! Smartie!

Just an FYI...This is a long update and will be split into several posts (as many of mine are due to the picture limitation!) Due to time constraints, it might be spread out into today and tonight/tomorrow... :goodvibes

When I last left you we had finished our lunch at the Wave and done some CR exploring. We boarded the monorail and headed back to MK.

Since the parade was about to start

IMG_6339Small.jpg

As soon as I saw the people lining up, PUSH, and the hula-hoopers I knew the parade was gonna start soon

and since Henry was wide awake, we went to Fantasyland in the random hope the lines might be bearable.

IMG_6341Small.jpg

On our trek to Fantasyland. We like this waterfall.

HA HA HA! :lmao:

What a joke! It was mass chaos back there!

The line for the Carousel was fairly short, and since we had never ridden, we went for it. I was holding Henry waiting in line when I felt him toot. I didn't think much of it...

IMG_6342Small.jpg

Nerd picture: The control panel of the Carousel

We boarded the Carousel and as I handed Henry to Joe I felt it.

"It" meaning his wet pants.

:scared1:

I started to tell Joe about his pants just as he set him on a horse.

:headache:

The ride started about 4 seconds after that, there was no getting off now. So, we made the best of it - enjoy the ride now and deal with the pants later!

Henry was very apprehenisve of the horse at first,

IMG_6347Small.jpg

"Uh-what's going on?"

but quickly warmed up and loved going around and seeing everything.

IMG_6349Small.jpg

Happy boy!

IMG_6351Small.jpg

Big boy on the horse!

IMG_6354Small.jpg

When the ride was over, we pulled him off the horse and noticed his pants were indeed wet, wet to the point where we would need a change of clothing. :scared:

Which OF COURSE, I forgot to bring that day in his bag. :headache:

Off to the closest bathroom where there happened to be a woman changing her toddler son with similar issues. She explained that after hunting through a zillion gift shops, she finally found little boys clothing and she just bought shorts for him at a particular gift shop right near the Carousel. I thanked her a hundred times and carried my pantless boy out of the restroom in search of the elusive gift shop.

Well, I forgot the name of the gift shop the second I stepped out of the restroom. We went into three or four gift shops near the Carousel (I never realized there were SO MANY gift shops right in that area!) - only girl clothing or wee little baby clothing. Nothing for toddler boys.

Finally, I asked and eureka! :woohoo: the CMs knew instantly.

In the said gift shop, Fantasy Faire (I dug out my PassPorter for that gift shop name...and...our waitress at The Wave was Xia ) we had very limited choices, but at least there was a choice, right?!

Henry found a $24.00 talking Dut Dut that he wanted, but instead we bought at $28.00 Mickey outfit.

Twenty eight stinkin' dollars for my forgetfulness.

:sad2:

Not a horrible price considering where we were, but I was kicking myself for it.

He did look MIGHTY cute though. :cutie: (picture coming soon)

After Henry was fresh and lookin' fine we reviewed all the very long lines in Fantasyland and opted against every ride, grabbed a FP for SM in Tomorrowland and headed for the JUNGLE CRUISE!

The FP line did have a bit of wait, but nothing too bad and I was happily snapping away pictures and enjoying all the corny jokes in line!

Oh no!! Poor Henry, another incident, this baby can't catch a break!!! And neither can you guys.....:sad2: But what an adorable outfit you got, he looks so stinkin' cute in it!! Hope he doesn't outgrow it too soon so he can wear it again!! Looking forward to hearing about the rest of the day at MK.....:surfweb:

Cute outfit. We had a toddler/diaper/outfit issue a few years ago. On our way home from our trip in 2006 my husband was carrying our 2 year old on his shoulders through the Orlando airport and the diaper leaked. I had a outfit change for my son, but my husband got a new Disney t-shirt at one of the airport gift shops.

Such a cool picture of the control panel on the carousel!!! :thumbsup2

Can't believe you had to spend $28 on an outfit for Henry! :headache: He does look super stylin' in it, though!

Don't you love the line of the Jungle Cruise??? I adore everything about the ride!!! Thanks for the great pictures of the JC -- they really made me wish I was there right now!

IMG_8175Small.jpg

I look forward to you all year my beloved.

IMG_8176Small.jpg

DH came home the other day and was soooo excited, and I couldn't figure out why, then he whipped out his Shamrock Shake...he loves them and will OD on them for the next couple of weeks :goodvibes

I'd like to know what Mickey was doing that required a saw in the kitchen. Plus a folding chair at his kitchen table? How very bachelor.

Perhaps I've been watching too many CSI's, but that table looks like a crime scene with the red handprints and the saw! :scared1: :lmao:

And I'm glad Henry is feeling better - hopefully your cold will be gone quickly as well.

Great updates Brook!!! I bought Ryan that outfit! I couldn't pass it up! It's too cute!!!!!

What a wonderful, long and detailed update!

First off, I love the Shamrock shakes too. :thumbsup2

I didn't realize you couldn't explore Mickey's house, what a bummer! I love all the corny/cheesy jokes too. The palm tree makes me giggle everytime I see it in a TR.

What a yellow group! My goodness, I highly doubt they lost anyone in that group.

The Wave burgers looked yummy. I bet that is one eating establishment you can still walk in to, would you agree?

Love all your CR pictures. I have never been over there to explore so it was very nice to see them.

Awwww! Henry looks adorable in the outfit. :goodvibes

Thank you! We really liked his new diggs too!

   Ohhhh man! That's awful! Thankfully there was the gift shop! Joe would TOTALLY FREAKKKKKK if that ever happened to him!

I know - it was just one thing after another!! This was MUCH more bearable than throw up though, that is FOR SURE!

We are hoping Minnesota warms up before July  so he can wear it again too. I think we'll make it. He wears it again later on our trip...just in case he does outgrow it, I wanted to squeak out my dollars worth!

More MK coming right up!

Such a cool picture of the control panel on the carousel!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I saw it and had to snap a picture. I snapped it with Joe in mind and he laughed at me! Guess it's not quite nerdy enough? :confused3 :lmao:

I know, it just irked me to buy the outfit, we tired to piece something else together that he would for sure be able to wear again, with pants, but it was going to be just even more expensive and he'd be too warm during the day. I finally quit the worrying and number crunching, listened to Joe and just bought it! All well - good thing it's vacation and we saved up the money to blow!

The JC line was really fun! All the ride pics are coming right up...

Last year I only ate ONE Shamrock Shake. This year will be different, oh yes, it will be different. Joe already asked if we need a budget line this month for Shamrock Shakes. :rotfl2:

You are right! It DOES look like a crime scene! Too funny!

Thank you for the well wishes on the cold. Today was a bit rough at work and I'm still feeling all the lovely sinus pressure, but hopefully tomorrow I'll be clearer.

Great updates Brook!!! I bought Ryan that outfit! I couldn't pass it up! It's too cute!!!!!

It is cute, isn't it?! It took me a while to agree to spending that much on an outfit he might not ever get to wear again, but looking back I don't regret it at all. And I think he will be able to squeeze into it still for at least part of the summer!

What a wonderful, long and detailed update!

YAY! Another Shamrock Shake lover!

It was a big bummer about Mickey's. Really, what is the point?

And the different groups had different colors. I saw bright blue, neon green, red and other colors throughout the week! The yellow though, being that it was head to toe, took the prize.

Yes, you can totally walk into The Wave....I don't know if that will hold true once BLT opens, but right now, I don't think there would be any problem, esp during a bit of a later lunch. Our ADR was at 1:00 pm. The place is really pretty big too, lots of tables!

The CR is very pretty, I love the light from the giant window wall.

Great updates Brook!

First of all - Shamrock Shakes?   Yummy! Oh what memories from my Jersey days! I haven't seen them in Mass. though. What we do get up here at our McDonald's are Lobster Roll sandwiches. $14 bucks a piece! Yeah, because when I want lobster, I think of McDonalds! :rolleyes1

I still cannot get over the size of that free cookie. I need to look for one of those the next time I go. Do you think they'll give them out for free to 44 yr.old women who bat their eyes and giggle?;)

I loved your pictures in Minnie's house! You caught so many great details! And I have to admit - I didn't notice the joke about the "palm" tree. I had to start at it for awhile before I realized! DUH!

I absolutely LOVE this picture! It's just so cool!

Continued from previous post

When we loaded onto our Jungle Cruise boat, our driver was Tom and he did a great job. I was thrilled to be on this ride and enjoyed every single corny joke!

Remind you of this? ;)
IMG_5055Small.jpg

From our night in the hotel before we left for WDW

When Tom chose a little guy to drive the boat I was almost tearing up thinking it might be Henry someday! The little guy was so proud and everyone cheered for him after he safely navigated us through the dark caves.

IMG_6404Small.jpg

IMG_6407Small.jpg

IMG_6409Small.jpg

IMG_6415Small.jpg

Tom told everyone to watch out for this elephant

IMG_6418Small.jpg

because he was known to blow water at the boats.

I took that hook, line and S-I-N-K-E-R.

The elephant just happened to line up perfect with where I was sitting and he was raising up at the exact pace that should he shoot water, I would have been soaked.

So I shrieked and moved away from the side.

Which made every single person on the boat laugh at me.

Hi, my name is Brook and this is my first ride on the Jungle Cruise.

And yes, don't worry, I do realize the animals are fake. Really, I do.

After the Jungle Cruise we crossed the park again to Tomorrowland.

I wanted to get a picture of Henry behind bars with Zurg, and Joe wanted to use the SM FP - and I'm always up for that!

The lines were INSANE. Every single ride, even Stitch, had a 30 plus minute wait! The TTA line stretched waaaay back. In the pic below I added the red arrows (Photobucket isn't showing the arrow on my preview, I hope they show up!) to show the line - and this wasn't even the end of it. I couldn't believe it! I have never heard of the TTA having a wait time more than a couple minutes...

IMG_6420Small.jpg

You could barely walk through the place. It was awful!! The tour groups were everywhere and had basically taken over the entire area. Even the FP return line for SM stretched all the way out to the funky palm trees,

IMG_6421Small.jpg

This is the FP return - and not even the end of it!

so we skipped it...in this case "it" being Tomorrowland entirely. I was uber bummed. :sad2:

We went back into Fantasyland

IMG_6424Small.jpg

Henry taking a breather after crazy Tomorrowland on his stroller tray

and found a short wait for It's a Small World, which we knew Henry would enjoy - and we enjoy watching his reactions. The wait said 10 minutes,

IMG_6429Small.jpg

but it was more like 20.

20 minutes for It's a Small World.

:sad2:

But, Henry did love it! Lots of ooohs and aaahhhs and waving at the dolls.

IMG_6431Small.jpg

He looks SO BIG to me here!

IMG_6434Small.jpg

IMG_6448Small.jpg

This hippos left eye was all droopy, which made it kinda creepy looking...of course you can't tell in the pic I tried to snag!
