I had the rep break it into one for 120 and one for 150. Does this sound like a good plan in case we want to sell some? I had thought about one for 100 and one for 170 but decided to split it this way.

The contract is being mailed to us to look over and we will become official when we go down in two weeks for our vacation, so I suppose I can change up until then.

If you are not paying closing fees for each smaller contract I would recommend breaking them up as follows:

150 points is the min size you need to become a member going through DVC.
60 & 60 point contracts. Easy to sell and helps you manage what you may really want or need downt he road.

If you have to pay $200 closing fees for each contract then what you are doing sounds very good.

Sounds like you got some sound advice. I wish someone had told me to split when I bought. We bought 300 points in one contract. I wish I had split it for 2 reasons, So the kids could each get one and to sell if we ever wanted. You did a good thing.
