OMG!!! Hope all disboarders are keeping well!!

We just booked for Christmas this year in a very last minute way! We got chatting to a travel agent and she gave us some prices and one of them worked out very well.....7 nights rosen at pointe orlando and 7 nights at Pop century!

We have booked flights with.......United......eeeek ive never flown with them before....:rolleyes1:sad2:

Our flights are Dublin- Newark, Newark - Orlando. Now my only big issue is that there is only a 1 hour stopover in Newark. The travel agent said it would be fine but I am a bit worried. We clear immigration in Dublin airport so that is one job out of the way. But will 1 hour be enough???

Any information or advice greatly appreciated!!

Thanks pixiedust:

If you're already clearing immigration then you might be Ok, the only thing I will say is that if you have any delays leaving Dublin then you will be cutting it very fine! We had a 3 and a half hour layover at Los Angeles en route to hawaii for our honeymoon, we had an hour delay at Heathrow, sat on the tarmac for an hour at LA then by the time we cleared immigration and found which terminal we needed we were only waiting for about 20 mins before our next flight started boarding  very stressful!!!
I would have a back up plan in place just in case...

If it is a United Flight All the Way Dublin Newark to Orlando then if

you miss your connecting flight you should be given seats on the next flight from

Newark to Orlando .

If its the same terminal and you don't have immigration it should be ok but it doesn't allow any room for delays.

Your flights are all on one booking so if there are any problems they will put you on the next available flight.

Thank you all so much for your replies!!!!
I have been so busy at work I havent had a minute to respond!!

We clear immigration in Dublin so I'm hoping for a swift turn around....but trying to work on a back up plan in case of emergencies!

I didnt know this! Yes we are United for the full flight booked through a travel agents so fingers crossed its all AOK.

If its the same terminal and you don't have immigration it should be ok but it doesn't allow any room for delays.

I never even thought about the terminals! Ive googled it and it looks like both are leaving from Newark Teminal C. So hopefully this helps matters.

This is great to know! I wasnt aware of this.

Thank you all so much for your help!

My last question on this matter is regarding baggage, I have heard that as Newark will be our first point of entry to the USA we have to pick up our bags and put them on a different conveyor belt before going to next flight?
Is this a quick process? Has any one else experienced this?

Any help appreciated!

Eva
