We Invite You to Relax as the Dining Room Proudly Presents a TR! *The End 12/24 Pg44*

Oh, Leslie, I'm so sorry for all of the trouble you had with eating. I hope you decided to get another ice cream later in the week.

Your Mary Poppins pin is so super cool and I love that vampire Mickey. So cool that you got a birthday card.

I am glad things are improving with the eating. I am sure a lot of your initial problems where a combination of anatomy and nerves. That's tough!

I agree with Tracy, you took that first sip of the DVC koolaid. And I still have no idea how much you actually drank! :rotfl:

Coming way too late to the party. Going back to actually read!!!

Yikes about all the food issues. Does this happen at home too or just because you are on vaca and overly stressed/excited?

Oh, Leslie! I'm so sorry! I am just now caught up on your TR. I'm sorry you had such a terrible time of things. I hope as your trip progressed things got better! I can't wait to read more!

Sorry I've gotten behind. I took the weekend off from the Dis and I'm still trying to get caught up. I'm 2 updates behind.

I'm so sorry your first day in Epcot wasn't as Magical as it could have been. The heat really can make anything much more worse. Unfriendly CMs too. :scared1:

I'm glad you're being honest too. Not everything about our trips are always great or perfect either. I just want to give you a big hug . We all look forward to the food just as much as the rides. Where else can you so many different choices in one place. It sounds like things got better as you went along.

Love the hat pictures and your pictures in SE. And you got to meet the penguin! I've never seen him. Love all the pin you got too. Have they found a spot on your board?

Catching up...

I cannot believe that little girl in the bathroom! What a BRAT! I can only hope that the first time she's ever sick in a public restroom, she remembers how evil she was to you and feels some shame.

I know what you mean about the toy shop in the UK...didn't they used to have a much bigger selection of interesting stuff? Now it seems so generic. I felt the same way about the toy store in Germany, too...they used to have so many amazing dolls, and in May they just had a small selection. Not that I ever bought any, but they were fun to look at.

I love your vampire Mickey pin! I want it!

I'm so sorry to hear about all the food-related stress you were going through...it must have been so hard to keep your chin up. But I echo everyone else here: thank you so much for sharing and being so honest!
I really couldn't believe the little girl, she was old enough to know better. It would have been different if she had been younger.

The toy shop was awful in UK. They barely had anything and it just seemed like they moved merchandise over from the other shops into it. It was very sad, they used to have really cool books and toys and now they have just one shelf of both. Very sad.

Hi. I've enjoyed reading your TR so far! I think the weight loss you two have experienced is terrific, and I appreciate your honesty with some of the problems you've faced while eating at Disney. I'm sure it can be helpful to at last one of your readers, and enlightening to others.

Looking forward to more posts
Thanks for joining in!! I do hope it helps someone, I love my lapband but sometimes it is a challenge!

Hey dearie---I have been here, reading along....just never having a chance to comment. SO sorry the food issue was not a good one for you! :( I hope it got better, but I can only imagine how frustrating it must have been! I am glad you all were still having a good time on the rides, etc. even though some of the "non-ride" time was UNFUN! Hoping for more magical pixie dust and WONDERFUL memories to come! :)

Thanks for looking for the Daisy hat for me!!! I am going to need to revert to online! THANKS DEARIE!
We looked every where for a Daisy hat, I know I've seen them before too, that was what was frustrating about it!

Awww you poor girl!! It's the worst to feel yucky on vacation. I truly hope eating became a bit easier as your trip went along. You must enjoy all the yummy Disney food.
It did become a bit easier, I just had to plan a little bit better. I think I have the right frame of mind for my January trip so that it won't be an issue at all.

Oh, Leslie, I'm so sorry for all of the trouble you had with eating. I hope you decided to get another ice cream later in the week.
I was DONE with ice cream, which was very sad but I didn't want a repeat of that experience!

Yes, we did take a sip or two of that DVC koolaid, you are just going to have to wait and see what happens!

Coming way too late to the party. Going back to actually read!!!

Yikes about all the food issues. Does this happen at home too or just because you are on vaca and overly stressed/excited?
Welcome!! It does happen at home but I think it was made worse because I was on vacation. Usually at home when it happens, I can just eat soup or something like that and I'll be fine.

Oh, Leslie! I'm so sorry! I am just now caught up on your TR. I'm sorry you had such a terrible time of things. I hope as your trip progressed things got better! I can't wait to read more!
You caught up fast! I can't wait to hear about your trip!

No worries on being behind, I'm behind on yours again. :rotfl2:

Oh yes, my pin board has quite a few new additions!! Marc thinks I will fill it completely in January but I don't think so. :rotfl2:

I'm curious about this as well.....!

You will just have to wait and see! :rotfl:

Tuesday September 7th.

I was excited when we woke up this morning. Only one more night of Pop and then we could check in at Riverside and we were headed to a park that I knew I could manage well....Hollywood Studios!

We made it to Hollywood Studios in plenty of time for rope drop and we were able to wait in the nice shaded area before the turnstiles. All the parks should be designed that way! Soon enough we were let on to Hollywood Blvd (I think that is what they call it) to wait for the little show they have going on. It seemed to be a shorter version of what they normally do but I think that was because it was less than 5 minutes until 9AM.

We had a rope drop plan of course, Marc had our park tickets, he was on fastpass duty and I was going to go wait at the beginning of the line for him to be done. It was an uneventful rope drop, Marc followed the rule quite nicely and I waited at the beginning of the line. In January they allowed parties to get in line and then let their fastpass runner meet up with them, I don't like doing this but this trip, you had to have your entire party with you. I like that better. I think it makes for less confusion in line.

Marc picked the slowest fastpass machine, I guess it was having problems but finally he was able to get our fastpasses and we hopped in line. While we were in line, he told me about this mean woman in a scooter, apparently she was getting a fastpass and the little girl behind her went to go ahead of her...the lady threw out her arm so hard that the little girl fell. Marc couldn't believe the mother didn't say anything to the woman but the little girl was sobbing I guess. Marc said he felt so bad. It wasn't like the little girl even had her ticket to get ahead of her, it was just RUDE.

In line Marc was talking a good game, about how he was going to kick my butt and was I prepared to cry. I just kinda listenend to him, he was being so funny that the guy in front of us was laughing at him, teasing him about being competitive.

I am HAPPY to report that I kicked Marc's butt...by a lot!

I was thrilled, I had a little spring in my step. That is what you get you when you are cocky!

After our ride, Marc headed to Tower of Terror and Rock N' Roller Coaster. I headed to Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I just adore this show, it makes me so happy to be sitting in the theater watching it.

I had a huge smile on my face when I left the show. I headed back over to Toy Story Mania. I bought Marc a pressed penny of Wheezy because he informed me earlier that he was his favorite Toy Story character and then I got us another set of TSM fastpasses.

Marc meanwhile rode TOT twice and Rock N' Roller coaster twice. He was thrilled with both of his rides but he told me that he thought he liked the acutal R&R ride better than TOT but TOT won for themeing. He said that TOT had less than a 5 minute wait both times he rode and then it jumped a bit and then he had less than a 10 minute wait for R&R both times.

I looked around at the pin shop under the Sorcerer's hat while I waited for Marc to meet back up with me. When he made his way over to me, I was munching on a mini clif bar on the bench, making sure I ate something before our lunch.

We decided to ride Great Movie Ride while we waited for our TSM fastpasses to be ready.

I didn't believe it but we actually got the gangster side!! I always get the cowboy side ALWAYS!! This was only the second time I have ever seen the gangster side, I was thrilled.

I didn't take as many pictures as I usually do because I wanted to enjoy this first ride. Like always, I enjoyed the movie clips. I'm a sap but I get a little teary eyed at places.

After our ride it was time for another Toy Story show down!

Coming up....
Does Lightening Leslie or Macho Marc take the win??

Wow! It just goes to show how much you can get done if you arrive at rope drop! Congrats on beating Marc! I wonder who wins round 2?

Your pictures of the queue in TSM and inside Voyage of the Little Mermaid turned out great!!! I really have to study my camera more so I can learn which settings to use. What kind of camera do you have? (I'm sure you've talked about it before in your PTR!)

I've been contemplating going through the queue for TOT and then leaving via the chicken exit just so I can see it. There's no way on earth I will ride it!

I'm so surprised to hear that you always get the cowboy side because, of all the times I've been to Disney and all the times I've been on GMR, I've NEVER had the cowboy side!!! I'm jealous!!! :lmao:

Those wait times at DHS are fantastic!
I  The Great Movie Ride. We always get the gangster. I think we got the cowboy once.

I've never had the cowboy side before, only the gangster!

I love the theming at TOT. It's the only ride I've ever wished the line had gone a little slower. ;) I can't wait to ride it again this trip. I've never been through the standby line at TSM either. I need to do that at least once so that I can see Mr. Potato Head.

Sounds like y'all had a great morning!

(edited to say that the DVC koolaid is quite yummy. We drank 300 pts worth last spring! :))

I'm so glad your morning went so well after the stinky day before.
I get you on net eating something when you have trouble with it. When I was pregnant with DD #2 I got sick eating chicken parm and it took me three years before I would even try it again. :rotfl:

Fun morning at DHS incorporating fun things for each of you! I am hoping that lunch is at Brown Derby?? :)

Fantastic Update!! WOOT WOOT for beating Marc at TSM especially after all that talk LOL!!!!!

You got the gangster YAY! I'm happy for you! I hope we don't get it again in January LOL!!!

VOTLM is wonderful!! So glad you were able to enjoy it!!! I am partial to the part when the bubbles come down from the ceiling!!

great update! of all times ive been on the GMR ive never gotten the cowboy. hopefully ill get it on my next trip. i love your pictures from VOTLM. i try to get pictures of this show but they never come out good. cant wait to read more :)

Not only did you beat Marc in points, but in accuracy too! You go girl!

You got some really great pictures in all the rides and show you did. I'm glad Marc enjoyed the thrill rides. TOT is my favorite thrill ride but DH love RnRC.

I'm so glad you're having such a great morning.

I love that you guys got to do so much that you love during your morning at DHS!

Wooo hooo for beating Marc! I hope you beat him again!
