We Invite You to Relax as the Dining Room Proudly Presents a TR! *The End 12/24 Pg44*

 Dang.
I am also glad you are sharing it all with us. I can totally understand that now you are stressing more about your eating, and that just makes things worse. I am guessing from your tone and replies that things do improve some. I hope you still were able to make this a relaxing trip for both of you.
I wouldn't want you to starve, so I'm glad you were able to at least get some protein. It seems we all (DISers) get so excited about the ADRs and restaurants we go a little overboard, and then not being able to eat really is awful.

The bad thing about when it's hot like that, and then it rains, the rain does nothing to cool the air down. It just gets more humid!!

Stress does make it worse. It really wasn't pleasant. I'm trying really hard not to think about the food for our January trip. I'm just going to go with what worked for me and take a more relaxed approach. Half the problem is that I want to try so many things, it's hard not to over order for myself.

The menu has been cut WAY back. I was sad. There had been so many great things on it in January that I had wanted to try. No more mushu pocket, no more bbq chicken quesadilla, and lots of other things were missing too. We ordered the bbq chicken pizza and ate there to get out of the rain. The pizza was good but not as good at the bbq chicken quesadilla that I had in January.

I sure am sorry to hear about the cutbacks. The quesadilla was so good!

I'm glad you were able to figure some tricks to your eating issues so that you could better enjoy the rest of the trip.

Bummer. The chicken quesadilla rumors were true. :sad1: And so sorry to hear that you had more eating troubles. But as others have said, I'm glad you're being honest and giving us the good and bad from your trip. :goodvibes

Love all your pins... I swore I would never start a collection but I can feel myself getting tempted... :rolleyes1

So you signed up for a DVC tour?? :hyper: Really? :hyper: Did you go? :hyper: Didya? :hyper:

Oh no Leslie! I'm sooooo sorry you had more trouble! My heart is breaking for you! I am glad your being honest about it though!

I love the hat pictures and the SSE pictures! Woo hoo for getting the jacket! I really want to get a DVC windbreaker! Maybe in a few weeks! Of course, I'm not even sure if the shops at CR sell DVC merchandise!

 Awww thank you so much for being honest and sharing!!!! It takes a lot to do that and that speaks volumes about your character!!! You are amazing!!!

I'm sorry it was still so rough eating, that would put a damper on things!!!! And boo to the rain!!!

And yes I will be more than happy to capture you chirping in January LOL!!!!

I forgot to mention how much I liked the pins you got! Especially Mary P! I was so excited to meet her in Epcot - I had my picture taken alone with her! No kids!
I didn't even realize the penguin was the one from MP! DOH!

Hi Leslie! Just wanted to let you know that your last two updates made me have a deeper respect and appreciation for you both!! You look so great, and it's come at such hard work!! Like everyone else has said- I'm glad you are including all that happened, not just the rosy moments. I'm sure this will really help others to have a better time, and that's part of why we all do TRs. :thumbsup2

I just want to say again, how fabulous you guys are looking, but more importantly- It's great to hear you say it's the best thing you've ever done. I want to you to FEEL good too!

So sorry to hear that the ice cream was problematic for you. At least you were able to eat the pizza and nuggets without problems. I know you've talked about how much you love the Rose and Crown and Gharidell, so I know this must have been so hard for you not being able to enjoy them. :(

Wow. I don't know why, but I didn't realize quite how challenging dining would be for you.

And tell Marc, he's not a Disney Rebel, he's a PIRATE!!!! :lmao:

I agree with the others when I say thank you so much for being honest! You are in no way a downer! I think it is so refreshing when people are honest about their trips and include the not-so-magical moments. We all have them, and on a board where everyone clearly loves Disney, it can be hard to share. I think what you're doing is very brave! :goodvibes

That first day makes me sad for you. I am glad you are being honest here bevause I don't take it as being a downer, it's what actually happened. I think remembering the lows makes the highs even higher.

I am glad to hear you figured out some things that made the rest of the trip a bit better. I'd hate for your relaxation trip to be anything but that!

I am so glad you are being honest with it all - it's part of the trip. Not everything is always magical at the world. And I can only imagine how frustrating all that would be, you want everything to be great and fun and here you are having eating issues. :headache: :hug::hug: You are not a Debbie Downer! It totally stinks that you had to skip out on your Haight Ashberry too, I know how much you usually enjoy that. :sad1:

I LOVE that pic of Marc with the aliens hat. :lmao: He is such a good sport! Does he find them, or do you? Your SE video with you two dancing is espeically cute as well.

I am very, very bummed to hear about the cutbacks at WPE. I never had a chance to try that quesadilla. It was on my someday list. :sad2: And the mushu pocket was AMAZING. Do they still have the chinios chicken salad?

I'm looking forward to finding out what you win....!

I sure am sorry to hear about the cutbacks. The quesadilla was so good!

I'm glad you were able to figure some tricks to your eating issues so that you could better enjoy the rest of the trip.
I miss that quesadilla, it was so delicious!!

Bummer. The chicken quesadilla rumors were true. :sad1: And so sorry to hear that you had more eating troubles. But as others have said, I'm glad you're being honest and giving us the good and bad from your trip. :goodvibes

Once you start a pin collection, you better budget lots of pin money though I was quite impressed with how FEW pin I actually bought, I mostly traded.

We did do the tour but I'm not telling you when. :rotfl2:

Oh no Leslie! I'm sooooo sorry you had more trouble! My heart is breaking for you! I am glad your being honest about it though!

I really can't wait to wear the jacket, the last two rainy days I've forgotten to get it out fo the closet!

 Awww thank you so much for being honest and sharing!!!! It takes a lot to do that and that speaks volumes about your character!!! You are amazing!!!

I'm sorry it was still so rough eating, that would put a damper on things!!!! And boo to the rain!!!

It really did put a damper of things, thanks for being my cheerleader while I was down there keeping me positive.

I forgot to mention how much I liked the pins you got! Especially Mary P! I was so excited to meet her in Epcot - I had my picture taken alone with her! No kids!
I didn't even realize the penguin was the one from MP! DOH!
That is very sweet!

So very true, that is why we all do TRs.

Thank you, it really is the best thing I've ever done.

I was so upset about the ice cream, it's not something I should have problems with! It was hard not to enjoy two of my favorite places.

Wow. I don't know why, but I didn't realize quite how challenging dining would be for you.

And tell Marc, he's not a Disney Rebel, he's a PIRATE!!!! :lmao:
Dining can be very challenging, but other times it's too easy when I want to eat bad things. :lmao:

I agree with the others when I say thank you so much for being honest! You are in no way a downer! Thanks! It's hard to be so open sometimes.

It really wasn't a great way to spend our first full day in Disney, I was upset, Marc was upset since I wasn't enjoying myself...blah.

I am so glad you are being honest with it all - it's part of the trip. Not everything is always magical at the world. And I can only imagine how frustrating all that would be, you want everything to be great and fun and here you are having eating issues. :headache: :hug::hug: You are not a Debbie Downer! I usually point out the hats to him but there was ONE hat picture that he intiated this trip but you will have to wait to see which one it is.

I thought our SE video came out really cute this time!

I think they had the Chinios chicken salad still...I think!

Thank you for an honest report.
I hope your eating went better as the trip went along!

I really can't wait to wear the jacket, the last two rainy days I've forgotten to get it out fo the closet!

get it out for tomorrow! It's supposed to rain here so I'm willing to bet it's going to rain there too!

Catching up...

I cannot believe that little girl in the bathroom! What a BRAT! I can only hope that the first time she's ever sick in a public restroom, she remembers how evil she was to you and feels some shame.

I know what you mean about the toy shop in the UK...didn't they used to have a much bigger selection of interesting stuff? Now it seems so generic. I felt the same way about the toy store in Germany, too...they used to have so many amazing dolls, and in May they just had a small selection. Not that I ever bought any, but they were fun to look at.

I love your vampire Mickey pin! I want it!

I'm so sorry to hear about all the food-related stress you were going through...it must have been so hard to keep your chin up. But I echo everyone else here: thank you so much for sharing and being so honest!

Hi. I've enjoyed reading your TR so far! I think the weight loss you two have experienced is terrific, and I appreciate your honesty with some of the problems you've faced while eating at Disney. I'm sure it can be helpful to at last one of your readers, and enlightening to others.

Looking forward to more posts

Hey dearie---I have been here, reading along....just never having a chance to comment. SO sorry the food issue was not a good one for you! :( I hope it got better, but I can only imagine how frustrating it must have been! I am glad you all were still having a good time on the rides, etc. even though some of the "non-ride" time was UNFUN! Hoping for more magical pixie dust and WONDERFUL memories to come! :)

Thanks for looking for the Daisy hat for me!!! I am going to need to revert to online! THANKS DEARIE!

Awww you poor girl!! It's the worst to feel yucky on vacation. I truly hope eating became a bit easier as your trip went along. You must enjoy all the yummy Disney food.
