We have a real living room!

Our furniture was finally delivered on Wednesday (hmm, interesting... no "customer satisfaction" survey calls yet for this delivery...) and we love it! May have had a bunch of hassles *getting* it, but the furniture is exactly what we wanted.

But, for 2 days it sat un-completed (as in didn't scoot the entertainment center pieces together and hook up the TV and stuff, and the end tables were without their glass). We finally got almost everything hooked up on Friday, but still didn't have our surround-sound speakers hooked up-- they were just sitting in the middle of the floor, which put them in the way so we couldn't set up the coffee and end tables, either.

But today, my parents came over to help me with something else (DH is out of town) and while they were here we finished hooking up the VCR and speakers, got the glass on the end and coffee tables, put them in place, moved the couch to the proper position, got bulbs in the lamps, and put the lamps in place. So now we have a real living room and <i>I LOVE IT!</i>

The kitties have been so cute exploring the new furniture. They haven't figured out how to get up on the entertainment center yet, but I don't think it'll be long...

HMMM, this has always been the reason I have dogs instead of cats! I never like it when I go to someones house and see cats walking where I might want to put down a cup or plate!

Rajah, it looks wonderful!!! Bet you spent last night relaxing in there!! I just hope the kitties don't figure out how to get stuck behind the entertainment center!! Been there, done that!
