I watched and wept. Amazing day for all of us. I am SO proud to be an American...we have HOPE again!!

I took off today in order to be able to watch the coverage. I usually fall asleep during speeches, but I was captivated.

God bless our new president. I can't imagine the burden that he is facing. I have more hope for this man to do great things than I have had for anyone else who has been president in our lifetime. My prayers are with him and his family as they take up this new journey.

I am at work today, but I listened to the coverage of the event on NPR.

Luckily, I was able to find a website here at work, that allowed streaming video so I got to watch the entire thing. Normally ALL streaming video is blocked here.

Finally, for the first time in a very long time, I feel like we've got hope and a chance for change. It's going to take a while, but I feel that we finally are on the road to achieving it.

You nailed it, it WILL take time. There are MANY messes to clean up and it would be unrealistic of any of us to think one man is gonna fix it overnight! We have to stand behind him and we ALL have to work towards rebuilding our nation. But alas, we have HOPE!

Incredible day, isn't it? It's really wonderful to feel that there really, finally, just might be someone in the White House who GETS IT. Someone who means lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual...when he says freedom for ALL.
