i'm hugging my passporter with tears in my eyes!!!
We got the dates for our Disney trip. It's in July, but that's okay. We went two years ago in July and the heat and the crowds didn't really bother us.
We're arriving at GKTW on friday 2 july. We're going to stay at the resort, get oriented and just enjoy ourselves at GKTW.
Saturday, we're planning on Epcot. I'm going to get PS at the Beirgarten at about 3m
Sunday, the fourth of July, we're going to stay awa from the parks and just celebrate at the village.
Monday, we're planning on MGM. I'm not sure where we'll eat that day. Rick and I will have talk about that. Any suggestions on this would be appreciated.
Tuesday morning we'll be PS *** for the character b'fast at the Ohana. We did this two years ago, and we all just loved it. From there, we'll resort hop and go to Downtown Disney.
Wednesday, for the grand finale we're going to magic Kingdom. The next day, we'll be leaving in the afternoon for home.
The day that we go to Magic Kingdom, we would like to park at the contemporary and take the monorail. Would we be able to do that?
Is it too soon to start putting stuff down for real like this? I'm so excited!!! Benji is just so happy, it's unreal. I'm so happy that i got a passporter.
Thanks,

What is GKTW? I am curious. (I feel so dumb!)<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_1_6.gif' border=0></a>

I don't think you can park at the Contemporary for the day. You can park at the TTC and get on the monorail from there, I believe.

Have you eaten at Prime Time 50's at MGM? It is a fun place to eat; we try to eat there each visit.

And, no it is not too early to plan. I have an itenerary set up for our trip in November, already! DH and I have picked out all the restaurants we want to include and worked some days in.

Happy planning!!!!!!

GKTW is a resort for kids who choose Disney as their wish for make A Wish and other wish granting organizations. Here's a link with more info. http://www.gktw.org
We're really looking forward to this.

Kathy's right. If you drive to the Contemporary and don't have a hotel parking pass, they give you one that says 3 hour limit on it. Don't know if they actually tow, but would hate to find out the hard way. I'd recommend regular MK parking and take the monorail from the TTC. For me, avoiding the $7 parking charge isn't worth the risk of being towed. Or did you not realize you get to take the monorail from MK parking? Parking is across the lake from MK. You park, go up to the TTC to catch the monorail around the lake to MK.

As for your park days. Well....I'm kind of a traditionalist in that I have to go to MK on my first day, and then usually again, hopefully on our last day, too!! I'm just not *at* Disney until I'm standing on Main St, map in hand, looking towards the castle!! But that's just me.... Don't forget you can park-hop, too, so you can do more than one park a day if you're up to it!

Hope you and Benji have a GREAT trip!!
Katie

I'm SO happy for Benji and for your family :) :)
Enjoy your stay :)
BTW, we are leaving November 27 and I'm already starting to put an itinerary down so if your going in July, you better get moving LOL :)

Wonderful news!!! I am so glad that your trip dates have been set. It's never to early to plan, so go ahead and read that Passporter cover to cover. For a good place to eat at Disney-MGM Studios, I really enjoyed my meal at 50's Prime Time Cafe. :)
