We got POR for 79.00 a night!!!!

I posted this on the resort board but wanted to tell all of you two, just cause I am so excited!!! & have always wanted to stay on site..........so, so, so badly!

I am soooo excited. We originally booked Seralago. Tonight, after reading these boards I decided to just break down & call Disney to see if I had a pin number attached to my name. I DID! They had mailed a coupon to an address that we lived at years ago. We had no idea. I'm just so excited. i have always wanted to stay onsite, but it's so expensive with a family of 5. WOW! I just can't believe it! No more getting lost trying to find our hotel room. No more lugging packages around for hours or losing our car in the parking lot. No more severe cases of jealousy over the extra magic hour! It feels like a dream come true! We do have to bump our trip up by 2 days because we must check in before the 4th of July, but that's fine with me! I can't wait!!!!!

Congratulations! You'll love POR. It's a beautiful resort. Just be warned though...once you stay on-site, it's really hard to stay off-site ever again.

POR is short for Port Orleans Riverside. The best moderate resort in WDW (IMO)

POR is lovely. I have stayed there 3 times and I have to say of all the resorts I've stayed at so far POR is my favorite. The grounds are just so pretty.

You're going to have a great time. Look into getting a carriage ride at the resort.

Congrats! We have also stayed there for $79 a night and felt we got a great deal for our money. It is absolutley beautiful there, very relaxing while still being exciting because you're on Disney property. Does that make sense? Anyway, you'll have a great time!

July 4th - 10th. Did you call to see if there is a pin attached to your name? I just couldn't believe it. I was still excited when I woke up this morning!

I was going to wait until the florida resident rates came out but one day a month or so ago i thought i would just call disney reservations and see what the rate would be. I called gave them my name told them i had received an email with a pin but deleted it. The CM said he saw the pin# by my name and the rate for POR was 79.00! I was jumping up and down(good thing my kids were in school and didn't see me,lol) I've never stayed on disney property before. I've heard so many wonderful things about POR can't wait to go. we are going in june.have fun!

I sure will MagicalMom! JCTigger a pin number is what is sent to you in an email or you can call disney reservations to see if there is a pin number associated with your name. the pin number is what the CM puts into the system to see what your rate is.

What do you mean a PIN attached to your name? You just call them up and ask them if there is a PIN attached?

That's exactly what I did. Just call & ask if there is a pin number attached to your name. You never know. I never thought that we would ever stay onsite. With a family of five it just didn't seem worth it to pay so much more just for a place to sleep. Now we are paying less than we were going to pay offsite!

I would also say call and call and call! Call to ask questions,call to see if you have a code, njust call - I think the more you call the better your chances are of getting a code. On my thousandth call I was told I had a pin attached to my name!! $79 a night at POR! Could have gotten $166 sav view at AKL but too many of us. I never would have known I had a code had i not kept calling!! Good Luck!!
