We got food, yes we do, we got food, how 'bout you? - PICTRUES! UPDATED 11-25-08

Our wake up call was at 6am today.
DSC03645-1.jpg

Surprisingly enough, we were all up and ready to go quite quickly and without much coaxing on my part…that is unusual for Tyler!
DSC03646.jpg

We jumped on a bus to the Magic Kingdom
DSC03647.jpg

for extra morning hours that began at 8am. We are usually the people who stroll in around 10am but on our short trip from July 1 – 4, 2007 where we only went to the Magic Kingdom one day (on the 2nd) and otherwise just hung around the hotel and Downtown Disney we discovered how useful it is to arrive early! So we were there at opening…FREEZING again! Skye had her fake fur coat on with her winter hat and gloves again and Tyler had his winter coat and a long sleeve shirt on too with his winter hat…and I had my winter coat and hat on too. But we were still in The World! We stopped a few times on Main Street for castle pictures and headed for Fantasyland. We got Fast Passes for Peter Pan because for some reason, there was a small line already. And anyway, a showing of PhilharMagic
DSC03649.jpg

was just about to begin…it is Skye’s favorite show! Then we rode It’s A Small World.

I contemplated calling Lou just so he could listen but I didn’t. Then we headed out. See, since we were up as early as we were we had time to spare. Normally, we might have gone swimming or something but it was way too cold for that! So we headed in to see what we could get done…and we were glad we did.

We hopped a monorail to the Grand Floridian. We got the front car all the way around.

DSC03677.jpg

It really is neat sitting up there. We had 10:20am ADRs for 1900 Park Fare.
DSC03704.jpg

We arrived about ten minutes early and it was packed! We checked in and were told to take a seat.
DSC03678.jpg

DSC03688.jpg

No one was out greeting in the lobby today (usually it is Mary Poppins). We waited about 30 minutes until our buzzer started buzzing. Skye spent the time cheering and hop scotching on the tiled floor in the lobby.
DSC03685.jpg

We went to check in and were rudely told that someone had made a mistake and they would get us in as soon as possible. I knew people who checked in after us had already been seated but I did not say anything because I just figured I did not know the circumstances…appears I should have spoken up. It was another ten minutes or so. This was the longest we had to wait for any meal…and longer than we have ever had to wait there for breakfast either. So finally we are taken in and put at a table right in front of the door! Perfect, right? NO! So anyway, our waitress comes and takes drink orders and about ten minutes later she comes back with them and walks away. She did not speak to us nor did she leave straws…which I suppose would not have been horrible except that the kids had cups with tops on them so it would have been a bit difficult to drink their drinks like that. She finally came back when Skye and I were up getting food and Tyler got us straws. When she brought them back she also brought a huge cupcake with a candle,
DSC03700.jpg

a birthday place mat and a king’s crown for Tyler.
DSC03701.jpg

I can see you started posting this a while ago, but we only found the boards a couple of weeks ago and are looking at as many trip reports as possible. As newbies we land at POR 4th July. Great report, so keep it coming. We're booked on the dining plan (not the deluxe) so appreciate any feedback on it's savings and retuarant/food choices.

I don’t remember what Tyler ate exactly but probably a couple plates of cinnamon rolls. Skye had Mickey waffles…as usual!
DSC03689.jpg

DSC03690.jpg

And I had a little of everything.
DSC03691.jpg

I love the oatmeal at Disney World and the strawberry soup here!
DSC03699.jpg

It is served for breakfast and dinner. We met Mary Poppins first
DSC03692.jpg

DSC03693.jpg

DSC03695.jpg

and then Tigger.
DSC03698.jpg

Somehow Pooh managed to skip us all together. We told the waitress and she got a manager. He came over and since Pooh was on the complete opposite end of the building by now, he took us over there. But while we are half way across the room from our table and belongings he has is sit in the isle and wait for Pooh to finish that section of the restaurant! We felt awkward and I did not like how this was handled. Finally we got a couple of pictures with Pooh
DSC03705.jpg

and went back to our table. Oh, did I mention that when he took s away from our table, with me under the assumption that we would be back in a minute or two, Alice

DSC03707.jpg

DSC03709.jpg

and The Mad Hatter
DSC03710.jpg

were approaching our table. I thought we were going to miss them too! That would have been a bigger travesty! But, we didn’t…we had a tiny wait for them to show and then we had our time with them! We got a to go box for Tyler’s cupcake and we high tailed it out of there about 12:30pm – and we were waiting to get in and to see characters most of that time! This was our worst service of the whole week and not anything like what we have experienced in the past. It would have cost us 52.16 but was just 3 meal credits.

We grabbed the monorail back to the Magic Kingdom.
DSC03714.jpg

We found Suzy (in the blue) and Perla (in the purple)
DSC03764.jpg

outside Exhibition Hall and then closer to the building behind them was Chicken Little…
DSC03767.jpg

he was a first for us. We played with the gold Goofy…we never knew he talked!
DSC03712.jpg

Then we went into the Confectionary and Skye loved the Alicein Wonderland Tea Set in the window!
DSC03713.jpg

We took a bunch of photopass pictures
image037.jpg

image040.jpg

on the way up Main Street. It really was not very crowded at all. As we got to the castle they were assembling the Family Fun Day Parade so we hung out to watch for a little while.
DSC03717.jpg

DSC03721.jpg

DSC03719.jpg

DSC03718.jpg

DSC03716.jpg

DSC03722.jpg

We did not stay long though…we were not thrilled…it seems that this parade would only really be fun for the people chosen to participate…and that was done an hour earlier. So we headed around the castle to the right and hit the Tea Cups…yuck!
DSC03724.jpg

Then as we approached The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh we found the crowd! Everyone and their brother was there! So we grabbed fast passes for the Pooh ride and went to use our fast passes for Peter Pan we had gotten earlier. On the way, we saw Pooh, Tigger, and DARBY heading out to the play area! They kids were so excited – we did not even know Darby was out greeting people! But the line was already crazy! And we had ten more day and figured we see her again…we didn’t. So anyway, we rode Peter Pan and could not get out of there fast enough…it was crazy crowded back there!

SO we headed to Liberty Tree Tavern

DSC03728.jpg

for our lunch ADR. Because of our breakfast running so late we seemed to be eating too soon but that was our ADRs. I guess I figured we could always take it with us if we needed to. We got inside and there were a lot of people there but we got seated pretty quickly but the hostess was not very loud and seemed a bit miffed with us that we did not hear her the first time. I had read good reviews of this place so I was looking forward to it. We were seated off to the left of the lobby. We ordered quickly and then Skye had to go to the bathroom. Believe me when I tell you to go before you get here. The bathroom is upstairs in a tiny hallway. It has two small stalls and one sink. It took us forever just to get in! When we got back Tyler had the appetizers already and the waitress came back and asked where we were for so long. Not rudely, just making conversation. When I told her, she started talking about little kids being constipated a lot when they are on vacation. That was not our problem at all and it was totally inappropriate meal conversation, especially coming from our waitress! Very odd!
Skye enjoyed coloring her menu.

DSC03731.jpg

She had fruit salad, mac & cheese

DSC03733.jpg

, and a sundae.

DSC03734.jpg

The blue sprinkles made Skye's tngue blue!

DSC03736.jpg

Tyler has a salad, cheese pizza, and a sundae. His sundae had a candle in it and the waitress sang Happy Birthday to him. I had fried cheese (see sacrificed for the team), salmon club sandwich, and liberty shortcake.
DSC03735.jpg

Somehow, I do not have pictures of a lot of this meal??? Tyler ate all of his pizza and Skye ate all of her fruit, sundae and as much of her mac & cheese as she ever does so our late breakfast did not cause a problem. The problem was that the food was not all that great. The fried cheese was not fresh tasting and my sandwich was not bad but nothing I would order again. I guess we just wanted to like it too much. We were out of there in 55 minutes. The total was $45.74 but only cost us 3 meal credits.

You know, I never realized how hard this is! It is taking me forever to even get through 3 days! We're into June almost and I am still posting January 3rd! Thanx for reading along...if you're still there!

So on with the show...

As we walked out the door the parade was beginning! What timing! There was an open spot right in the front so we just stayed there. The kids love, love, love parades and really love being close to the action!

DSC03752.jpg

After the parade we headed back to use our Pooh fast passes. Skye loves this one too! When we are done, we contemplated leaving because it was so crowded everywhere we wanted to be. But, once again, the kids out-voted me. So we headed to Tomorrowland. We grabbed fast passes for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and rode the People Mover. We grabbed a show of Carousel of Progress…one of Tyler’s favorites! And then we used our fast passes and after were able to hop on agan stand-by because people were leaving. I think t was because it was sooooo cold! We were starting to freeze again.

It was time to head to Main Street for our dinner ADR at 6:50pm at The Plaza. Oh my gosh…I knew this place was small but I did not know how small. I don’t know what the problem was but we waited about an hour for our ADR time, along with a lot of other freezing people.

DSC03770.jpg

DSC03774.jpg

DSC03775.jpg

There is no lobby here and there are no buzzers so we had to stand outside. When we were finally called I noticed that there can’t be more that about 25 tables in there and it was freezing.

DSC03785.jpg

DSC03786.jpg

I had my coat on the whole time…it was too cold to take it off! Well, we had a great waiter and we ordered quickly. Both the kids had grapes for an appetizer,

DSC03788.jpg

and grilled cheese and fries.

DSC03790.jpg

as their entree. Tyler has chocolate chip cookies and milk

DSC03792.jpg

and Skye had a Mickeylodeon

DSC03793.jpg

for dessert. I had the tomato soup,

DSC03787.jpg

the cheese steak sandwich,

DSC03789.jpg

and a banana split

DSC03794.jpg

The waiter also brought Tyler a mini-cake. It was huge with tons of frosting and rainbow sprinkles and a candle...it was really good.

DSC03791.jpg

We ate a piece of it and took the rest back with us. The food was really great. Our bill was $41.80 but only cost us 3 meal credits. I would definitely go here again but I think I would do one of the first lunch seatings so I am not so much at the mercy of the people seated before me….it really is a small venue and I think that was our problem. We did not get out of there until after 8:30pm – and let me tell you, it was not that we were eating that long! I mean, we did not feel rushed but they just kept the meal moving…I think we were at the table for about 30 minutes only….it was fine with us because we were freezing and tired.

We decided to head home after that so we headed out. As we walked up to our stop there was a bus there but it was standing room only so we decided to wait for the next one to get a seat. I sure was glad we did because our driver was new and got lost. She pulled into the Swan and Dolphin parking lot to turn around. We got home around 9:30pm and all fell asleep upon hitting the pillow…it was really nice to be warm again!

So excited to read another update!!! I have never consider The Plaza before but your bill was very reasonable. I will definately make an early ADR if we decide to eat there.

Today was supposed to warm up a little….we were sure hoping!

We had a wake-up call at 9:15am. I figured we would all need to rest is a little by now and after being so cold the night before, all we wanted to do was be warm! I figured if we woke up earlier, fine…but that was the latest we could sleep.

DSC03795-1.jpg

So we all got up and bathed. The kids each used a bath bomb…so it was actually harder getting them out of the tub that out of the bed!

Well we were trusting the weather man and we headed out in only a denim jacket and sweat shirts.

We were heading to Epcot today but apparently so was everyone else at All-Star Movies! So we grabbed a bus to MGM

DSC03797.jpg

DSC03798.jpg

DSC03801.jpg

and then a boat

DSC03810.jpg

DSC03804.jpg

DSC03808.jpg

DSC03816.jpg

DSC03817.jpg

to the back door of Epcot. I know, we probably took longer that way but I hate waiting for things like that. I’d rather take side streets somewhere than sit in bumper to bumper traffic on the express way…even if it means it takes a bit longer. Just one of my quirks I guess. Plus, we like Disney transportation and we were heading to World Showcase anyway! We took some pictures of the Swan and Dolphin

DSC03809.jpg

and the Boardwalk area

DSC03813.jpg

DSC03814.jpg

on the way.

Our first stop was Morocco.

DSC03819.jpg

Also a benefit of coming in this way…Morocco is one country to the right! We had a noon ADR at Restaurant Marrakesh.

DSC03821.jpg

This is one of those places that Lou claims no interest in but I have wanted to go…so again, this was the perfect time! We were a little bit early so we looked around. Morocco is so pretty. It’s a great place for picture taking!

When it was time to check in we were taken in right away. We were in awe at the inside of the restaurant! It is beautiful in there! We were seated up a level against the rail towards the door.

DSC03839.jpg

Our waiter was Issam and he started out a bit slow but warmed up quickly. We were the first ones seated and it was nice to see the place empty before it filled up. The kids immediately attacked the bread. I think they could have just eaten bread for the whole trip and been happy. But this bread was really good.

DSC03826.jpg

It was still steaming and soft and fresh. I don’t know if that is just because we were there early or not but I hope it is like that all the time! I had Seafood Bastilla

DSC03827.jpg

as my appetizer. I did not know what to expect really…food wise. So when Issam placed the roll with bright green drizzle on it in front of me I was a bit cautious. It was really good and more than enough as an appetizer. The kids shared a chicken tenders and fries kids meal.

DSC03830.jpg

It was plenty for them to share especially with the bread and a dessert. I had shish kebobs.

DSC03831.jpg

There were two huge ones! It comes with rice too. Oh my goodness…this was the best choice I could have made! My meal was wonderful! And I think Lou, against his wished to NOT like it, would love it. We cannot wait to take him there next time! For dessert the kids each had vanilla ice cream

DSC03835.jpg

(and we were not charged for the second one) and I had the Bastilla.

DSC03836.jpg

Nope, I should have made a different choice here…not that there is a lot to choose from but this was the wrong choice. I don’t know what it was exactly that I did not like and it was not horrible…I mean I did eat some of it…but it was not something I would order again nor was it something I would recommend to someone else. The belly dancer

DSC03838.jpg

began when we were about half way through our meal. Tyler has not sat so contentedly during a meal as he did watching the belly dancer.

DSC03833.jpg

Since we were not on the floor they did not get chosen to go learn to belly dance but no one complained. She does not stay out too long but is out long enough for you to be entertained during your meal. We did not get many good pictures of her because we were a little far away and I do not have the camera that I would like to have but we got some fuzzy pictures. All in all, Marrakesh will be somewhere we will return to in the future. We would recommend it to anyone…it is not as scary as it might sound! Our total for the two meals was $61.39 but cost us only 2 meal credits. We were there for about an hour and one half. Awesome!

After lunch Tyler wanted a passport. He has been asking for the last few trips and we have always told him no but I figured he was old enough to get it this year. Morocco does not sell them…don’t know why. It’s kind of odd??? While we were in Morocco though, they started their masks. Tyler has every single one (and believe me that is a lot!) he has ever made hanging on the wall in the play room. I talked them out of coloring on them though because I have issues with permanent marker on my children and their clothes…and now that the Kidcot Fun Stops are sponsored by Sharpie, permanent markers are what they have! So we went to France to get Tyler a passport. He also wanted to collect flags from each country…you know, the little flags. I talked him out of that for this trip…I will get stuck on the next one though I am sure! On the way

we saw Belle and Beast down by the water in France.

Actually there was a photographer and 4 people standing there so Tyler ran up and asked who was going to be there. In the past Beast has liked to tease Tyler by taking his hat…well, he still does! Skye did not notice, she had Belle all to herself! We looked around France for a little while and they did their mask thing.

Tyler got his passport and began getting it signed. We wandered through the tunnel where they used to have character meet and greets but no one was there. But as we walked out into the walk way after the tunnel…guess who we ran into??? Princess Aurora and Cinderella! With almost no crowd! Skye chose to see ‘Rora over Cindy.

She’s weird like that…most little girls would give anything to see Cinderella but Skye goes the less popular route! Which is a good thing because shortly after she decided, Cindy left! They were thrilled just to be in such company! Yes, I meant “they”! Tyler may be all BOY but I have a feeling stage shows are in his future!!!! Or maybe a rock band…who knows??? We actually stopped to see the movie in France too. We don’t usually do the movies. The only one we have seen, in fact, was the old Canada one. We liked the France one…does not hurt that there are seats in it (as opposed to the Canada one where you are supposed to stand through the whole thing!).

After France we headed towards the UK. We caught Mary Poppins again just outside of the UK.

Two little boys in front of us were dressed as the chef from Ratatouille. We had to call Daddy and let him know we were passing his favorite fast food joint…Yorkshire County Fish Shoppe and no, we would not be eating there and no we could not bring him home some!

Inside the toy store near the Kidcot table was Pooh and Eeyore. We took some pictures pretending to call Daddy from the red phone booths

then headed to Canada.

We found Koda from Brother Bear outside.

Ty and Skye added to their maskes.

The kids wanted to see the movie so we went. We took some pictures on the way in.

We liked the new version better than the old one. There were not many people in there so the kids sat on the floor.

This is just out front of Canada.

WOW…we have spent a lot of time going through not even half of the World Showcase! It was almost time for dinner. This guy was hanging out near the boat launch.

We grabbed a friendship launch back to Morroco. The captain made everyone sing happy birthday to Tyler and another kid on the boat and then presented them both with a certificate when they got off. Tyler needed to get his passport signed in Morocco…remember, they did not have any passports there so we had to go to France for it. The problem was that somewhere in there Tyler had lost his passport! He was majorly upset! We looked everywhere! As we were walking up to the Morocco Kidcot table he found it…ya, Tyler would not be the one to find a needle in a haystack! As we were back there we noticed Jasmine and Aladdin greeting people! So Skye and I went to get in line

as Tyler got his passport signed. When we were about five minutes into it, Jasmine and Aladdin had to go for a break but it was promised they’d be back real soon…so we waited. And were we glad we did!!! They did come back soon…and they brought Genie with them!

Genie was hugging Tyler’s head. At one point he got bored with all the attention they were giving Jasmine and Aladdin so he began doing backward push-ups on the ledge he was sitting on.

It was pretty funny to watch.

We had a 5:00pm ADR at Chefs de France so we headed back that way. I did not realize that I had booked so many first sittings when I made our ADRs but I was really glad I did. It was nice to not be at someone else’s mercy and to see the restaurants clean and un-crowded. We were seated towards the front of the restaurant where all the windows are.

We were not against the windows but it was good enough. We did not think the tables were too close together or anything. The kid’s menus were on chef’s hats for the Ratatouille promotion. They were cute and the kids liked having something different than the same two puzzle pages they received everywhere else.

Our waiter was Marc. He was very nice and a bit difficult to understand but we did ok. The kids shared again. We were each brought a roll…

crunchy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. They had a cheese pastry.

It was not what I was expecting and none of us liked it. I had the Soupe a l'oignon gratinee or onion soup…

this would bring me back if nothing else! Lots of bread and cheese on the top and even when you got through that, the flavor of the soup was great! We had eaten here on our first trip with my mom but all we had was soup and dessert. Lou was not impressed but he is not one to like to order when he cannot pronounce what he is ordering or where he does not know what is expected. I liked the soup and while shy, am more adventurous in eating than he is…so again, this was one of those things to take advantage of now! For enters the kids shared chicken strips with pasta.

Each piece of this was enough to be a meal so they had plenty! And they ate it all! I had the Demi poulet fermier roti, pommes puree au basilic et tomate braisee which is Half of an all natural roasted chicken, basil mashed potatoes and braised tomato.

It was good but a little dry for my tastes. Don’t get me wrong, I was happy with it but I don’t think I would order it again….I would want to try something else. I just tend to like my meat a bit more juicy that it was…it is probably an issue with making sure he chicken is cooked completely because I ran into it later in the trip also. For dessert the kids had Biscuit au chocolat which is a chocolate chip cookie.

It was a huge, thick cookie with huge chunks of chocolate in it. They were also given two drinks again at no charge. I had Tarte au chocolat which is a chocolate tart with strawberries and coconut, praline sauce with chocolate ice cream.

It was very good! All-in-all, we really had a good time here and will return. We are planning to make Lou come here and get over his issues with language/culture barriers. Our bill here was $58.15. Service was so good, we tipped $15.00…so those of you who have been privy to my opinions on tipping…see I do tip well when it is appropriate! It only cost us 2 meal credits. This meal was also about an hour and one half long.

I love your TR! I just found it tonight. I am loving all your dining reviews ~ they are making me hungry though!

Your children are adorable. I cannot wait for the next update.

Wow...this was a long day it seems! Thanx guys, for reading! It is taking me a while but I'm getting there...slowly! I am no Miss Cammie or Oybolshoi but I am trying to be entertaining and informative...hope you are all enjoying my memories... Well, on wih the show!

*********************************************************

As we were walking out of the restaurant Tyler found that he did not have his passport…again! He ran back in to find it hoping it would be on the table or around there but it wasn’t. He was upset and tore through the bags and stuff we had with us. He could not find it. Well, we had to move on. He wanted to buy another but I would not let him. We took the boat back to Canada (they sang to him again) and headed towards Mexico. We walked through the stores on the way because it was getting a little chilly. Mexico is one of our favorite pavilions. It is so pretty in there and fun! And we had not seen the new boat ride yet. We loved the old one so we were hoping to love the new one. There was actually a line! I don’t think we have ever, ever seen a line there! Well, we waited and it moved fast…or I was just in so much awe that there actually was a line that I did not notice how long it took! We loved it…especially Skye who is a big “Don-Don” fan! The line was too ling for a repeat right now but I knew we’d be back! We looked around inside while Tyler wanted to buy everything and was still moping about his passport while Skye wanted every chicken she saw! Oh, did I mention she is a chicken fiend! They absolutely love, love, love the wooden painted animals in the entrance…did you ever look at the prices of those things?!?!?!?! They are wonderfully nice but not in my budget right now! So we moved on and hit Norway. We looked around and took pictures with the giant troll in the store too.

We always love to look at the sweaters in there (and I bet this could have been a great year for sales) if they were not so darned expensive…they are beautiful and probably very warm but I’ have to mortgage my home to be able to afford one! Skye and I wanted to go on Maelstrom. This is one of those rides where Tyler has convinced himself that he is afraid of it and that he cannot go one it. He cries like a baby every time it is brought up. So we go up to get fast passes…why does that ride always have a line??? And Tyler is bawling! All we were doing was getting fast passes…geeze! He carried on horribly and made me mad! See I am convinced that this whole thing is how he asserts his will on his family. He has been on Rockin’ Roller Coaster and Space Mountain. He has been on The Demon at Six Flags Great America. He did not hate them but at this point in time does not want to go again. He loves Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Barnstormer and The Haunted Mansion. He loves Pirates but tries to tell us he is afraid of the hill (“you mean that bump?”)…to the point that as he gets into the boat after walking all the way through the line and starts crying! He will not let us go into Honey I Shrunk the Audience. He holds something over his head in It’s Tough To Be A Bug and Journey into Your Imagination. He won’t go on Test track anymore but loves the easy side on Mission : Space. Most of this started when he was about four and he just cannot let it go. We don’t have much of a problem with the bigger rides…those are scary…even though we really think that is still just something he wants to control…but come on, Maelstrom??? Figment??? Test track…Lou takes off out of the drive way faster than it goes! So anyway, he made me mad and we were not having a fun time so I grabbed us a bench for Illuminations.

Yes, it was a bit early but I was not letting him dictate what we would do. And one of our goals was to get Skye a good seat for Illuminations. So we did. We sat outside of China…and of course shortly after we got comfortable Skye had to go to the bathroom…she’s good like that. I discovered on this trip that ordering a meal triggers her bladder. Tyler did a lot of sitting alone this time around. He had to hold our seat. We ran to China for a potty break…one of Lou’s other favorites! Soon after we got back a family came up next to us and they has a son about Tyler’s age and he had just gotten a laser pointer for Christmas so the three of them…Tyler, the boy and the boy’s dad…took turns shining it and seeing how far it would go or shining it on the ground in front of people waling by and watching their reactions. They had a good time and it kept me from being mad at Tyler. They also read their maps and marked where we had been today. It was getting colder so the gloves and winter hat came out.

We watched Illuminations and Skye really liked it…she has only seen it on the move in the past. We are parade and firework people so these night time shows are our thing.

I tried to get Ty on Malestrom again but it was not happening and it was too late and dark for me to feel comfortable leaving him out there waiting for us. This was an extra hour night so while a lot of people were leaving we just kinda took our time leaving.

Of course, we had to stop to play on the light up sidewalks…they are so cool. I think it was suggested that Daddy find a way to install them in our house!

We headed to the bus and were able to watch Wishes from a far. Skye fell asleep on the wait…it was not a long wait but she was done. Tyler took the backpack and the bags we had from purchased. While closing up the stroller he found his passport so of course he wanted to go back in to get it signed in Mexico and Norway that he missed. I managed to convince him that we would not be able to get back there fast enough because basically, I was TIRED! So he made me promise we’d get them next time…you know, if he does not loose it again before then! That thing eluded us even after we got home and he wanted to take it to school to show his teacher. He loved looking at the stickers of the real places in each country and finding it in Mickey’s World.

Anyway, we ended up waiting for a second bus so we would not have to stand because yes, it is worse to stand holding a half asleep three year old and making sure your 9 year old is ok on a moving bus than to stand a few more minutes on non-moving ground! Believe me, it is! And Skye is a crab when she is woken up…even when she wakes up on her own…if she is not ready to be up, watch out!

Needless to say, when we got home it was all we could do to make it back to our room. We discovered that it was shorter to walk on the outside of the building along the street to our room (which was the first block of rooms in the first section about 3 rooms from the end) than it was to go through the lobby and around by the pool and through all the fun parts of the resort. Which did not make me happy because we love all of that and that is one of the reasons we love staying on property but by the time we were getting home each night…it did not really matter. We just wanted our jammies and our bed!

Subscribing!

You have the sweetest most precious family!

My name is Sheri also and my son is a "Lou" (Louis, but his little sister calls him LouLou or Bubby):lmao:

Looking forward to more of your trip report.:goodvibes

Thanx for reading!

This is where my record keeping began to fail so I will be recounting the events from receipts, pictures, and memories.

Well this morning was a late one…we slept in until around 8am when Mickey and Stitch called. We got ready and hopped on a bus to MGM Studios

(I cannot get a hang on the new name!). We took a bunch of Photopass pictures on our way towards the giant sorcerer hat.

We looked around a little but we were hungry. Our ADR was not until 11:15am though. We rode The Great Movie Ride…we love it! But we really did not have enough time to travel very far so we decided to ask at the check-in desk if we could be seated early…”Sure, no problem!”. So we were given a pager and told to have a seat and we’d be seated shortly.

Just after we sat down a lady with a basket of plastic fruit came by and just sort of stood near us. All of a sudden, she tripped over her basket that was sitting on the ground and knocked all the plastic fruit all over the walk way. She was looking for someone to help her pick it up and since Tyler and Skyler were the only two there, they helped. She had some “grabbers” and they got to work.

It was kind of weird but they had fun so that’s all that matters. Soon other kids were coming along to help and our pager lit up. We were on our way into Hollywood and Vine for our breakfast with The Playhouse Disney gang!

...and i have been soo busy i have not been able to add anything in such a long time. I am still intending to finish...yep, all the way to the end...so please hang in there, if you're still reading!

So we left off out side Hollywood & Vine...

We try to get here on all of our trips…it is really fun (even for Tyler) and breakfast is really good with a lot of choices. We like to get the last breakfast sitting but we just couldn’t wait today.

The kids had their usual….Mickey Waffles, fruit, cinnamon rolls, donuts, hard boiled eggs, and Ice cream.

I really liked the breakfast taco section…I enjoy anything wrapped in a tortilla! At this point I discovered that my camera was not working…later to discover my strip was full (that everyone told me would not happen!). Luckily, we had Tyler’s camera. So we saw June,

(this is where I noticed my camera was not working correctly...later to find out my strip was full...everyone told me I would never fill it all and we're only on day 5!!!)

…the kids danced and sang and ate. We were in a great seat near the buffet but not on top of it. It was not empty but certainly was not full in there…I think we saw everyone at least twice. The total here was $67.39 because it was holiday pricing still…but was only three meal credits. We were out of there by 10:48am.

With the camera trouble throwing me off I did not get very good food pictures...sorry. I know this buffet gets a bad rap most of the time and I will not argue about lunch or dinner but we love breakfast here and have never had cold or old food and the trays are always full. The room is not usually very crowded and the buffet lines are set up good. So, I guess I am saying make your own opinion because not everyone dislikes this one!
