We saw a lot more dream fast passes then what people were previously reporting.

We won Dream Ears our second morning. They were in the hallway as we came off buzz. This was right after the park opened Sun. Am.

About 20 minutes later we were waiting in line for Alice and they had a huge pile of Lanyards. The ride holds a lot of people and they were gone when we got off.

People in front of us on Alice also had Dream fast passes from Pinocchio that am.

Those were the only prizes we heard about.

It was fun to win and I get to keep them forever which is great. They are adult sizes so the girls can grow into them.

Hooray!! We finally got dreamed to after 4 trips since it began! We got the lanyards with pins and I too will keep them forever!! Good for you!

Andrea

How funny, we were there that day, too - we were one of the ones on Alice that morning! They had just started passing them out when we were at the front of the line... my bf wanted to get off and go straight to the exit, but I told him no, that'd be cheating!! We lucked out and got them when we got off, though!

I was so excited to win, I'm sure you were, too! I personally thought the hats were cuter than the ones they were selling... and free!

How cool for everyone!

A question about the dream ears, can you buy similar ones? As in silver ears? We were there for the 50th last year and I'm still kicking myself we didn't get the golden ears!

the golden ears are now 1.99 at the character wearhouse.. So i got them then...

No you have to be dreamed to get the ears. They are lt. blue with clouds and silver ears. I tried to have our names stitched and the CM said they couldn't alter them at all. They may be for sale after the year but not now.

There are some that have silver ears that my DS chose. They are navy blue with silver ears (that light up) and they have Mickey on the front with the castle and say "Where dreams come true, Disneyland"

We got dreamed in a big way! It's going in my trip report, which is only partially complete. For a hint, part of it's in my signature.party:

So what's the difference between getting the dream fast passes or the ears? I saw both this past week...or do you just get both?

You only get one item at a time. You can just get lucky and hit another exit where they are giving out a different dream.

Congrats Snoodledo on winning the grand marshall that must have been really a great experience.

Congrats on all those that got Dreamed! We were there last weekend and I wished and prayed and (almost) cried about getting dreamed, but, alas, I wished too hard and did not get it. We saw lots of families w/fastpasses but not many w/the ears.

One cool thing, though, was that as we were coming around a corner in DCA on our last day, a family stopped us near the bridge. I immediately started reaching for the mom's camera assuming they wanted a family shot but the daughter shyly asked my daughter to "be her friend" (their blonde daughter looked about 5 to 6 years old, my dark haired daughter is just 7 but the size of a 5 year old). The little girl then turned back to their stroller (they had a younger child too) and started digging. She then gave my daughter a Tinkerbell "dream" pin! The mom then explained to me that her daughter had gotten dreamed that morning and was told to find a friend to share the second pin with! My daughter was so thankful and hugged this girl and I just started crying. So, my daughter got DREAMED, by proxy, but still a dream!

And THAT, my friends, is what I love about DISNEYLAND!!!

What a great story! That must have been a magical moment.

We got dreamed too, if you'd call it a dream. We were given the "reserved" table at Taste Pilots in DCA. We ordered our food, a CM came up to us and said we were getting the special treatment, food brought to our table for free. I thought he was making a joke. I started for the food pick up line and he escorted me to a linen table clothed table, with real silverware. I pointed out my family and they went and got them. They serverd our food to us on real plates, with real glasses for our soda (and we even got a free refill!). The brought whatever condiments we wanted in the small size jars and got our fixin's for our burgers. It felt a bit strange, everyone looking at why we had linen and china and they were eating off paper plates - it was fun. Alas, our only souvenier from that experience was that we got the magic change straws.

The real dream would have been if they picked up our lunch tab!

Oh, yeah, the next day we also got "Disneyland Honoring Citizen" buttons. But that didn't get us anything special.

Well, it was so nice to get a "dream" from a little girl who could have easily taken that pin home to share w/one of her friends at school.

It inspired us...later that day we had fast passes for Soarin' and knew we didn't have time to use them, so we found the first kid w/a birthday button that we could find and said "happy birthday! you get to take your family on Soarin'!" The family was so thankful.

Maybe the magic can just keep getting passed on between all of us!

What is dreamed exactly. It sounds like people get surprised with freebies. Is that right? I just found out that we're going to DL in May. Will they still be doing it then? TIA.

Thanks!

We were dreamed as well, not with anything tangible but with one of the dreamers that was able to get my dd5 to the front of the line for Materhorn. It was her first time on the ride and one she will always remember. After the ride she took her to the front of the line for Big Thunder Mountain!

Ok that is really sweet. :)

It is suppose to run all year. You just get lucky with where you are. It sounds like most of them are given the first 2 hours of the morning and as you exit one of the rides. The ones we heard of were: exiting Buzz, Pinocchio, Alice, and BTMRR. From Snoodledoos trip report it sounds like the bigger prizes are predicted by a computer and you have to be located at that spot at that time.

Good Luck. I am sure you will have fun no matter what.
