We Got An Upgrade!

We leave Saturday 7 day eastern. We just got a call and Disney said they had some info to give us about our cruise (this will be our 3rd time cruising) The castmember said, we've been given an upgrade. We've gone from Cat 8 (big porthole) to Cat 4 with veranda, rm 8051. We are so excited. I just wanted to share, miracles do happen. Thanks DCL and happy cruising everyone!

We booked about 4 weeks out. I really don't know what helped. I called and asked about getting an upgrade last week and DCL said there was nothing available. Tonight they called and said it had been done. No method to the madness, just thankful on our part. We were going to show up to the terminal early Saturday and see about getting an upgrade but now it is all taken care of.
Still jumping for joy!

We too are cruising on Feb 7 ANd recieved a call Monday from Disney saying we were upgraded from A Cat 6 to a Cat 4 8084 I can't wait.

Wow, I'm thinking this isn't going to be a full ship on 2/7 because we got an upgrade today too

We were inside cat 11, rooms 7037 & 7039 ugraded to cat 8 porthole rooms 7010 & 7008.

We rebooked on our first cruise in July 2002. We had originally booked 2 cat 5's then as it became clear which dear family members were going, we had to switch to 3 cat 11's but still on deck 7 (did that back in January 2003). In December 2003, family member who "insisted/required" the inside room backed out of the trip at exactly the 60 day mark. So we were down to two cat 11's.

I never expected an upgrade because we had the two rooms together, but both rooms were upgraded and we are still next to each other.

WOW! I can't believe that so many from our cruise are getting upgrades. I'm jealous. LOL I guess I just need to cross my fingers and say an extra little prayer tonight that I also get one of those calls sometime this week!

I am also going this Saturday and no upgrade yet....we are in a Cat 9 GTY.

I just checked the DCL website and they are still showing availability for 2/7 in Categories 4, 5, 6, 11, 12.

Can always still hope for an upgrade!!!

I'm a little confused I just booked a Disney ****** for Nov 04 are you guy's saying that Disney just calls and gives people upgrades for free?
