I must admit we tried Rosies last trip and it wasn't bad. I think we got an apple crumble for dessert though and it wasn't very good, the chocolate cake was probably better.

very inconsistent reviews, i agree, which is why i dont reccommend basing ADR's off of one perosns reviews, b/c everyone has diff. experiences!

DDP: 2 TS credits

Ok folks, please no flames. this is my report, so I am going to be honest. If you do not like my opinion you don't have to read!

WE HATED MAMA MELROSE! It was the worst disney experience ever. bad food, bad service, just BAD!

We had 4:30 ressies b/c we wanted to finish in plenty of time to get to the front of the park for fantasmic special seating.

we get there at 4:30 and sit and wait about 5 minutes. I was totally ok with that. Then they seated us right as you walk in to the left at a two person table basically in the hallway in front of the open kitchen. we were not big fans of this, but the place was full and we didn't have time to wait if we wanted tos ee fantasmic.

We sit down and wait...and wait...and wai. finally an older woman named Pat comes up and says she will be our server and asks for our drink orders. we said we already knew what we wanted for appetizers, but ebfore we could tell her she just walked off!

it took her about 7-10 minutes to come back with our drinks. she took our appetizer orders, and we also said we wanted to order our entrees. Bobby asked if there was a certain kind of dish he could special order. IN his mind he already had another menu option picked out incase she said no. well, he asked about this certain dish and seh said no, but before he could tell her what he wanted instead, she walked off AGAIN!!! we finally flag her down and she comes back and takes our order.

about 15 minutes later our appetizers come out. our drinks had been in eed of a refil for a good ten min. so we flag her down again and she kind of huffs away to get our refills.

about 15 minutes later, our food comes. she never says yall enjoy, and sees that our glasses are empty but doesnt bother to refill them. we had to ge ANOTHER waitress to get our refills. we eat, order dessert after flagging down pat again, and someone else brings our desserts. she nevr came and asked how the food was, if she could get us anything, NOTHING. she brought our bill and didnt explain teh fantasmic tickets to us and we had to ask someone. we were then read to give her our KTTW card to pay, and she had disappeared! she didnt come back for a good ten minutes to take the card. we were so livid by this point, and were running very late. so we left and pretty much ran to the front to get to teh fantasmic gates.

ok now about the food. it was "eh" i got some diff breads for an appetizer and they were just ok. so was bobbys salad.
for entrees i got a 4 cheese pizza and bobby got some shrimp and pasta dish, they were just "eh" the dessert was pretty good, but its kinda hard to mess that up. basically this place/experience left a bad taste in our mouth adn we will NOT be returning!

i cant even find bobbys menu item, but it was about $15.00

I guess the options are really limited at DHS. . .We are trying Hollywood and Vine even though reviews are bad because we figured a buffet for Fantasmic would have us out of the restaurant quicker.

Ugh I know reviews are diffrent for everyone but up till this point your reviews are spot on with what we have expierenced and what we like. We have this booked for our upcoming trip (never been before) Shucks it doesnt look so hot...Im thinking about doing CS here instead of the fantasmic package! Looking at where the seats are for the package, it doesnt look like its that great of a view either? Care to comment on that part of the package?

That's too bad that you had such a bad experience at Mama Melrose. It seems from several peoples reviews that it is either really really good there or pretty bad. So sorry you got the bad experience!

We've never been there, but I think you just talked us out of even considering it. Lol. I don't really like a lot of italian food anyways. We usually just stick with brown derby. Even they weren't super great this past yr when we went. And they are never good with drink refills in the times we've been. They refil it like once or twice and then don't bother to come back...sooooo annoying!
