We finally won something.

The cast members approached us as we were coming off of Snow White. They were hiding at the exit. it was great! I've never asked them about anything.

Congratulations! I'm just wondering, if you see the CMs in white vests standing around, can you just go up to them and ask them if they are giving away something? During my last trip there I walked by a group of them but I was too shy to go up to them and ask if they were giving away something. I thought that if they were giving away something they would kind of call me over?!? I did see someone go up to them and leave with a Dream FP but by that time I had to catch up to my family. (I've always regretted not going up to the CMs to find out, though!)

This is directly from the Dream Team: There will always be two of them together, at least one of them will be wearing a white vest. If you see them, approach them, because some of the dreams require you coming up to them. On some of the dreams, shortly before they will be notified of the exact location where to go to give out the dream, and they will have to document the event by taking pictures of the specific person and a picture of the time on the watch they are given to wear. They are not allowed to wear their personal watch or carry a cell phone or other device, so that it is completely fair and they are not able to call family or friends and let them know where they will be. For example, with the Dream Suite, if it's a two-person ride, they are instructed as to which of the two people wins the night in the suite, i.e., the outside rider. I know this for a fact because my son and I were riding on Mr. Toad, and I won a night in the Dream Suite because I was the one on the outside. It's that precise.

Also another thing I learned is they give out dreams everyday until 5 p.m. So if you see white-vested CMs, say hello. There's a lot of other dreams besides the Fastpasses and the ears. There's lots of trips, cruises, even 40+ years of vacation ownership at the WDW resorts.

You can have the night in the castle, I want the 40 years of DVC! Not that I would turn down the night in the castle, but I am afraid that I wouldn't be able to sleep! You only have a little bit of time there, why waste it on sleeping.

Thanks for the info, Rocketeer! Now I'm pretty sure I missed out on some Dream FP (and it would have come in really handy because it was particularly busy when I went), but I will now know for next time if I see some of them standing around to go up and say hi!

DVC would be wonderful. However, it comes with an approximate $87,000 cost. They do give you over $30,500 "to help defray payment of taxes payable as a result of winning the prize." I can't imagine how much more $$ would be needed to satisfy that tax responsibility.

And you're right about not wasting time sleeping in the Dream Suite. I wanted to spend every minute enjoying it. The concierge encouraged us to play in the park, but we knew that we could go on rides anytime but this was our only opportunity to stay in the suite. We did go, however, on an after-hours tour from midnight to 2 a.m. That was really interesting.

The concierge also told us about a family from England visiting for a 10-night stay. They won the Dream Suite on the first night and again on their last night. Lightning does strike twice. That is quite remarkable considering they will give out 266 nights in the suite this year.
