When is the spring break easter recess this year???

Is there a difference between easter recess and spring break meaning do kids get off from school in march then again in april??

I am assuming that the recesses will be spread out betwen mid march to mid april....is this correct?

Spring breaks vary alot now, but they are pretty much the 2nd week of March til the week after Easter this year. Easter is April 16th, so about through to April 23/24.

ALOT of schools will be off either the week before Easter or the week after, but there are also alot they have their Spring break in March and lots of colleges are out for Spring in March.

A friend of mine is looking to go April 23rd and it seems like she has alot more options than if she tried to go the week before that.

Then again, if you are trying to avoid kids and crowds, I'm not sure WDW is the right place for you!!

Actually it is! It is all in knowing when to go. When we go we never wait on line, get any dining reservation we wish and never see any crowds anywhere. We also always get our favorite room in the GF. We go to WDW twice a year and I know Easter/spring recess changes every year. So since we can go on vacation anytime we want we try to avoid the most crowded. We were trying to plan a trip to Sanibel for 5 days then drive to Orlando for another 5 then fly home. Oh well looks like we will go to the BVI in March, Sanibel will have to wait till May!

A lot depends on location. Up here, the kids have a week off at Easter and a week off in February...... Flights to Orlando for the Feb break sell out as fast as Southwest can release them.

Atlanta private schools have spring break the first week of March. The schools are also off on the Friday and Monday of Easter weekend.

My husband and I usually go every year in March. We also have no children, so if you go the first or second week in March it usually isn't bad. Some years towards the end of that second week it starts getting a little crowded, but that is usually we are about to leave. The only other thing is they also have the cheerleading convention around the first of March, which can be pretty annoying. No offense to anyone, but there is nothing worse than being on a crowded bus and hearing 50 teenages spelling things like L E T S G O!!
