We did it ALL!! 19 days Apr/May 2012 (updated! check in ROYAL PACIFIC RESORT)

EPCOT pt 4
WOW!! Talk about photo porn at Epcot hey?? lol.

Lets see, we left off where I had to have yet ANOTHER foot break and didn't know if I would make it through the last two countries before my feet would give out on me. Let's see what happened from there...

We left of resting in France which means next up was UK.... I Loooove tea so I sucked it up and made an effort to go through the gardens and shops here...

IMG_4960.jpg

IMG_4963.jpg

Here I am sportin some lovely UK bling!! lol

IMG_4969.jpg

smDSC_5201a.jpg

Of course we could NOT leave this area without some phone booth fun!! lol DH and I were wishing we had a cell phone to use (we tried to use our Canadian cell phone as little as possible in the states) but we totally wanted to call dd's phone when she was in there. haha

smDSC_5211a.jpg

smDSC_5216a.jpg

Glad I'm not on the other end of the phone call in this next pic. LOL

smDSC_5218a.jpg

Next up was Canada! YAY!!! Our home and native land! True patriot love! In all thy Son's command :)
Well, unfortunately my aching feet didn't make me the most patriotic person today and we breezed through Canada VERY fast with one little look at a tiny shop where we made DH try on a Beaver hat. LOL

IMG_4919.jpg

and I think DH convinced us to walk up the stairs to go towards the Rocky mountain area and the show but I had to sit down and DD and I insisted we couldn't stay any longer and it was well past our time to head out of the park. sorry Canada - you got jilted :(

I grabbed DD a Mickey head ice cream sandwichfrom a little frozen treat stand and we sat down in some grass to eat it...

smDSC_5221a.jpg

smDSC_5223a.jpg

Then hobbled my way to the butterfly area that was set up for the flower and garden festival...

smDSC_5228a.jpg

smDSC_5232a.jpg

I was shocked at the pathetic entryway they had to the butterfly area. no wonder half of them seemed be flying around OUTSIDE the containment area!! I mean - BEADS??? They do better keeping them in when they bring a butterfly show to our puny fair here - they have double entry and those big rubber flappy things. I'm pretty sure they had lost half their butterflies bc there just weren't a huge amount flying around.

IMG_4980.jpg

Well, I just barely made it through the butterfly encosure once and started hobbling my way to the front of the park.

We had to hit Spaceship Earth and I heard it's best to leave til your way out bc so many people hit it on the way in.

Here's DD's pic of it...

IMG_4986.jpg

Here is me and DD in our future scene. LOL

IMG_4989.jpg

and we hit one shop on the way out in which I removed my shoes bc I just needed a change of pressure on my feet!!! I walked a little ways with bare feet and we stopped for some photo pass photog pics and one of Dd and DH by these cute flower ostrich's.

IMG_4998.jpg

We finished this park an hour earlier than I had planned (it was 4:15 pm) but that's b/c dd didn't want to do anything in Innoventions besides SoAT.

I can't be sure what we did that evening. How quickly we forget the precious details of our trip :( but I do have this shot of DH so I'm sure we all laid around doing NOTHING - how could we when our feet were DEAD!!! lol

IMG_4999.jpg

sitting on the lanai reading :)

Next up is a rest day for shopping at outlet stores and DownTown Disney. Will we have success finding DD a grade 8 grad dress??? Will we find a good pair of footwear to replace the ones that got broken in a wheelchair accident on our first day?? Will we find a pair for DD bc she brought crumby shoes and is now complaining of a sore heel and calfs????

Great updates and I LOVE this pics ! Great job. The one's of the ducklings are too cute.

Hi!!! I finally have come up for air from all the chaos that followed our trip. :sad2:

I am loving your report so far! I am going to try and start mine this week.

My pictures will not even come close to yours though. Your DH takes fantastic pictures!! :cloud9:

Thanks :) They are cute huh?? Isn't it odd that no matter where you go and no matter how much excitement your surrounded by you ALWAYS stop what your doing to adore baby ducks that can be seen almost anywhere?? LOL They are just irresistable!!!

Terri

Glad things are getting back to normal for you - sad that it's back to normal for you too though bc that means it's not Disney. LOL Thanks for stopping by to catch up!! You can so tell the difference between DH's camera and our point and shoot. LOL faded and washed out means it's point and shoot - oh and sometimes blurry too. Bahahaha!!

Really enjoy your report. Your pictures are so Professional! The blue pictures are like from a fancy magazine.

Thank you for sharing.

Epcot can wear even the best walkers. There's just so much to see and do! And the park is so big!

Love all your photos! Beautiful shots of the gardens and the WS pavilions. Mexico really is a relaxing pavilion.

I never knew Liberty Tree used to have a big condiments bar...it's too bad they took that away.

Man, after a full day at Epcot, I think a shopping day would be a good idea. Looking forward to hearing about it.:wizard:

Glad your enjoying it :) Yes, blue light can make almost anything look beautiful! It's such a deep rich colour. Dh's favorite time to have camera in hand :)

Ya, I just don't do well with a lot of walking. I sit at a computer most of the day and I even prepare ahead of time for theme parks by walking lots but in all honesty I think I'd have to walk for 4 hours straight EVERY day for a few weeks to actually prepare myself enough. LOL that's just not the amount of prep I am prepared to put in to a holiday trip. haha.

We used the condiment bar probably like 4 or 5 years ago so it could have been changed for a long time by now. Oh well.

Finally got a chance to catch up on your updates! Seeing your photos made me realize how much we missed in Epcot. I wish we would have checked out more, but like you, our feet were pretty sore. Like the Mexico pavillion. We never went inside, and I wish we had. Epcot is definitely a two day park!

Those little ducklings were so cute. And that pulled pork sandwich looked really good!

You were very brave going into the butterfly house! I could not bring myself to do it! haha

Once again, very awesome photos! Loved the update. :)

Lovin all the fun in Epcot!

Glad you liked the post. SOO much fun at Epcot. I wouldn't say it's my favorite part but on the other hand I just couldn't skip out on World showcase. I just love it too over there!!

I know, even we felt like we didn't do enough at Epcot and we even went BACK a 2nd time!! Not a full day or anything but we never made it out of world showcase the 2nd time so we have YET to really take advantage of The Innoventions buildings and we've NEVER fun into club cool either! lol. SSoooo much to do.

And ya, I'm pretty brave taking on those winged creatures. LOL ;)

DAY 5 - SHOPPING & DTD

We thought it would be a good time to have a break from the parks and take it easy. In hindsight shopping all day was not exactly the best way to give my feet a break. LOL

We started at Costco. Yep, DH INSISTS on shopping at Costco EVERYWHERE we go!!! Unfortunately it was a waste of time bc this Costco took a chunk out of our day and was a small puny Costco with NOTHING worth buying :(

Next up was the outlet mall. Our goal was to possibly find some souveniers and possibly a dress for Dd's grade 8 grad and a last minute added plan was to get some shoes to replace my flip flops that DD was wearing when her foot got rolled over by a wheelchair at MK our first park day. lol Oh - wait - we needed to get HER a pair too bc the pair she brought turned out to be PATHETIC!!! When I tried them on the heels were lower than the toes - no wonder she had started complaining of a sore heel and calves!!!

We quickly discovered that the outlet mall was NOT going to have a dress for grad so after spending a looooong day shopping all we got out of it was a new pair of flip flops for each of us and a shirt for DH. LOL Shoppers we are NOT. Oh well.

Here is me later that day wearing my flip flops which i LOVE and wear ALL the time!! They were from Columbia.

IMG_5021.jpg

Once we were done shopping I hobbled back to the car (shopping was NOT the way to recuperate from 3 days of walking in parks LOL).

We went back to the condo and I'm pretty sure I napped bc I wasn't able to sleep in as planned that day. Only dd did that bc teens are sooo good at sleeping in. haha.

Then we headed to Downtown Disney for some fun. This is a tradition for us - it's NOT a full Disney trip without hitting Downtown Disney. If you havn't done it you really should.

We always enjoy checking out the latest lego structures...

IMG_5025.jpg

smDSC_5260a.jpg

We checked out LOTS of stores...

smDSC_5315a.jpg

smDSC_5265a.jpg

Cali really liked this vinylmation sign made of small vinylmations...

IMG_5008.jpg

and she also thought this picture was pretty funny!!

IMG_5076.jpg

Of course we tried lots of things on our heads as per Dd's addiction to putting things on her head in every park or store. LOL

IMG_5038.jpg

IMG_5039.jpg

IMG_5047.jpg

smDSC_5277a.jpg

smDSC_5279a.jpg

and we EVEN tried things on OTHER body parts such as hands and arms!!!

IMG_5097.jpg

IMG_5065.jpg

but alas it was just too much for dd to handle and before you know it she took that arm bling from me and tried it on....

IMG_5066.jpg

her HEAD!!! lol. I guess the pressure of not putting things on her head just got to her and she cracked. Bahahaha! What a goof.

There was also lots of other fun things to check out in the stores but before I get cut off I will stop here and post those for you to see in the next post :thumbsup2

DAY 5 - SHOPPING and DOWNTOWN DISNEY cont'd...

Oh ya, we left off at all the other fun things there were to check out in DTD so here they are!

IMG_5053.jpg

IMG_5055.jpg

What can I say - I LOOOOVE my tea!! I didn't buy any though. LOL

Dd made this cute guy at the area where you can build and buy your own potato head creations. Of course he's got some beach/surf related things...

IMG_5084.jpg

He was really cute and we would have loooved to buy him but Cali was on a budget and already had other more important things on her list so we just snapped a pic to remember him by and said goodbye to him.

She had to pose with this pleasant guy! haha

IMG_5070.jpg

and this one too...

IMG_5139.jpg

and she had to show how grossed out she was by the kissing frogs. LOL

IMG_5103.jpg

Hey, she's 14 and grossed out by kissing?? I'll take that attitude for several years more please ;) lol I hope anyway!!!

We figured we should grab a bite to eat even though nobody was very hungry since we had eaten a late late lunch at the condo before coming to DTD but of course as usual this is the place that won us over for a bite to eat...

smDSC_5286a.jpg

We looooove the Earls sammies!!!

We sat down with our pager to wait for our food (oh, the line up to order was not long at all by the way - it goes VERY fast)

IMG_5106.jpg

I told DD I wanted to get a shot of the lights when it went off but she wasn't expecting it to buzz and she's a rule follower who thinks you need to go immediately as soon as they buzz you so I think she just got a bit too startled when it went off...

IMG_5107.jpg

LOL - I did calm her down and tell her to relax and let me take a pic without her freaking out (I think she actually shoved the darn thing at me haha) but the better photo of her was a bit blown out and this one tells a better story anyway!! haha!

Here are our sammies wrapped and you can see what we got by reading them...

IMG_5110.jpg

DD loved hers...

IMG_5114.jpg

and DH and I loved ours too (we got one to share and we each had a bite of DD's too)

IMG_5111.jpg

After that it was time for our traditional trip to Downtown Disneys Goofy's Candy Co. We cannot miss this stop on any trip to Florida!!! As a matter of fact we usually do it more than once! haha

Here they are dipping cali's candy apple...

smDSC_5298.jpg

and coating it in coconut!!!

smDSC_5303.jpg

So for those of you who are unaware of this most awesome treat available to you I will fill you in. In DTD there is a shop called Goofy's Candy Co. You can purchase candy, slurpees, premade treats OR you can build your own treat!!! You select the base - caramel appple, rice crispie mickey head, marshmallows, large oreo type cookie, and I think there may be one other. Then you select the toppings to coat it in!! You can choose a treat for around 5$ and there are 2 more indulgent ones around the 9 - 10$ mark. So watch what your getting bc it can get costly if everyone in the family wants the bigger ones. You get to choose one dip, one coating and one drizzle for each - you can choose more but it will cost more so you got to watch that too. We let dd indulge and get the expensive caramel apple one so it was the apple already dipped in caramel and then she chose white chocolate as her dip, coconut as her coating and milk chocolate as her drizzle.
They were SSOOOO yummy. We shared her apple one before bed that night but here are all 3 of the treats we got...

smDSC_5404a.jpg

dh was a copy cat topper so he got the rice crispie mickey head dipped in white chocolate, coated with coconut and drizzled with milk chocolate...

smDSC_5403a.jpg

I wanted to be different so I got the rice crispie, dipped in milk chocolate, coated with butterfinger chocolate bar crumbs and drizzled with white chocolate...

smDSC_54001024x678a.jpg

MMmmmmmm!!! These are SOO good - do NOT miss it if you havn't already tried it.

By now it was getting dark and DH's magic hour of blue light time was coming so we split up and DD and I continued shopping. We promised we'd meet back up in about an hour once his blue light disappeared (it doesn't last very long). We checked out a few shops and got distracted on our way to meet him by a stage with a dj playing AWESOME catchy tunes on stage and we watched people enjoying it and jiving to the music.

DH was NOT a happy boy when we finally made it back late :( ooops! lol. Oh well, we are on holidays so after a quiet ride back I finally made him discuss it and we realized my radio was on the wrong station which is why I hadn't heard him radioing us. I had just assumed he'd radio when he was done.

Anyway, he did enjoy his blue light and got some nice shots...

smDSC_5396a.jpg

We all got over his little fit and enjoyed DD's candy apple treat and hit the sack - with sore feet again. LOL.

Up next is a more relaxing day at Typhoon Lagoon & dinner at Sanaa for DH and my 19the anniversary.
THANK GOODNESS I had the brains to plan 2 SLOW DAYS!!! HAHAHA!!

Oh dear. Looks like I lost my readers :sad1:
If your reading let me know so I don't feel like I'm doing this just for me. LOL.

I'll try to get my updates up more quickly.

Glad you were able to find some new shoes. Those ones with the low heal sounded awful!

Love that Mr. Potato Head with the Stitch surf board! So cute!

And Earl of Sandwich is sooo good.

We had gone into that Goofy Candy store, but totally missed out on those treats that you got. Those look so good. I definitely would have gotten the rice crispy treats coated in stuff. Yum!

Awesome blue sky photos! So pretty. Your husband is very talented.

I'm still here! I don't always get a chance to check the dis every day, but I promise I'm reading!

Hi Kim!! I'm here!!! ;)
I've never tried Earl of Sandwich or Goofy's, but I think they are on the list for this time! Love the look of those treats!! :thumbsup2 I have some time for DTD this time! More than usual, anyway. More nice blue light photos from Wayne, too!!
I've just hit double digits in my countdown today!!! So here's to 99 days!! Getting closer all the time!! Reading your TR is helping the time go!!

I'm still here ! I don't always get my dis updates and I get behind. :confused3

Again .. LOVE your pics .. I have 2 little guys sitting beside me enjoying them as well. :thumbsup2

We have yet to try EOS .. but it's on my "list". ;) Looks yummy.

We only went to DTD for a short time this past trip and I feel like I missed out ! Next trip we'll spend a bit more time there.

19 days in Florida. I would die if I ever get the chance to stay that long. I would live in Florida if I could.
