It sounds like you dad is such a sweet person!! I am glad to hear that you will be able to relax knowing people are checking in. I made sure we planned to leave on a Sunday so I would have the day before off, because I usually go into big time panic mode

At first I was a little sad we weren't leaving Saturday morning, but now I feel the same as you, I can get everything finished up on Saturday, have a relaxing evening and take off Sunday morning!!!

I'm so happy you popped in my friend I am still in denial that we're at the two week mark today I know everything will come together but I'm really wishing I had also taken a couple of days off this week because next week I can't have any days off due to my counterpart being on vacation

PANIC!! I'm already panicking and I've got six weeks, so I completely understand! We shopped some today because I went into a panic that no stores would be carrying summer clothes for long and we needed some shorts and tank tops...except we got there and all the stores were still full of them. Oh, well!

I wasn't on here last week (Julia starting school kept me busy) and didn't read about your mom's passing until today. Thoughts and prayers are with you, Jas, Peg, your dad, and all the people your wonderful mother touched. Your dad sounds so much like my dad, who is 80 and still a wild man! He cracks me up! Just yesterday afternoon, he and my mom decided to go to the beach, and today they dropped everything and drove 8 hours to get there! I understand why he's not going to WDW, though, and I'm so happy your friends are going to check in on him and keep him busy. I'm also really happy that all of you are celebrating being a family together during this time when family needs to lean on each other even more than usual!

I'm so excited and am in complete anticipation of an amazing TR when you ladies get home!!

I did the same thing on Friday! I ended up with two new tops but I still need a pair of capri's and maybe another pair of beige or white shorts

Thank you for your kind words and I think our dad's sound very similar I truly believe age is just a number ... he constantly tells us that only his body tells him he's older sometimes .. his mind is still young

I'm glad to hear the trip is still on. I love the idea of going out to dinner with everyone the night before a trip. We usually spend the night before a trip running around like crazies trying to finish everything that should have been done a week ago.

Me too! I am going to try really hard not to get home and run around like a mad woman...but I think we both know the possibility of that is quite high

Opening day at Ikea is going to be Crazy but amazing! I just got my makeup from smashbox, and I cannot wait to start using them tmrw! I also love Sephora! No problem :hugs: If there's ANYTHING, at all that you need, just let me know

I am watching Princess and the Frog and catching up on TRs! The suitcases are empty on the floor at the end of the bed, and I feel no panic... Yeah, it will hit me tomorrow, I am sure!

The girls have their last soccer game of the tournament in the morning...they won't be in the playoffs (this time), so I will be back home by 1pm with the rest of the day to pack and clean. (I also have to run to Ann Taylor Loft to pick up a couple of shirts. I bought one that I wore today and I LOVED it!)

I can't pack because I still have clothes in the wash (the shirt I wore today...) and what on earth would I do all day tomorrow?

It sounds like your dad will be just fine; it also sounds like he might have a pretty busy schedule! Good luck with getting your errands done. When I get back you will be down to only 1 week!!

The last minute laundry is always an issue for these summer trips because we're still wearing the clothes I want to pack....sounds like you're having the same problem!

Good morning!!

Two weeks today and we will be in the air on our way! I still can't believe it's right around the corner...but so excited that it's right around the corner.

We were successful in getting a few things stroked off of our lists yesterday. I was on my way out the door to drop Jasmine off at work and called Peg to see what they were up to. I thought it would be a great time to get our Garden Grocer order finalized so I headed over to their place. I had pretty much decided what I wanted for the three of us so we just had to get Peg's finaized. With the two of us working on it we were done in no time I was pleasantly surprised when I got home and they had called and left a message confirming our order!

While we were busy doing that, Geodoc was online booking our car for the day we're heading to IOA! Sounds like he was able to use their annual pass discount and he got the car for a good price

I completely forget to tell you guys too that our IOA tickets arrived in the mail last week! I ordered them the week before so was very happy when they arrived within 5 days I now have absolutely no airmiles left...time to get that balance back up there

Ohhhhh, I forgot to tell you....I ordered new Hey's Luggage from the shopping channel yesterday! I got pink with white polka dots....if I ever need to find my luggage on a carousel now, I won't have a problem. I got the 29, 26 inch and the carry on! Now I just hope it arrived by the time we leave

Once I finish up on the Boards, I really need to get my folder out and start/finish my index cards!

I am off to my BFF's house today to spend a relaxing day by the pool. Jasmine and Jeff both have to work today and then they have a staff party tonight so they can't come and they are pretty bummed considering it's going to be a gorgeous day! Hope you are all enjoying a wonderful weekend!

I know what you mean about the last-minute pre-trip panick setting in. No matter how on top of things you try to be, it always hits.

Sounds like you have things pretty under control, which in the circumstances is pretty remarkable. Hopefully the next couple weeks will fly by and then you will be relaxing and enjoying cocktails in our happy place!

Just got back to town and checked updates - I'm so very sorry to hear about your loss. I agree with others that continuing with your trip is the best thing you can do. We lost my DMIL in July, and the weekend after the funeral, we all headed to the lake. Family time is so necessary at a time of loss.

Its amazing your trip is now so close. Nothing beats that feeling of knowing you re almost there!

Tiff!!! I first of all want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart! When we got to the graveside part of the funeral, Jas looked at me with tears in her eyes and said "Mom, Tiff's here", it took me every ounce of strength not to burst into tears. The fact that you took time to come halfway across the city to be with us meant more to us than you will ever know

So we have to work on Kyle do we I was thinking we could always hit The Keg at 10pm...that would certainly help pass the last part of the evening before we have to shower and get ready I'm not sure how Peg would feel about her girls not getting to bed though

Our dad is truly one of a kind! We have always been super close and Jasmine has the most amazing relationship with him! She adores her grandpa more than anything
