We can now finally say "We Are Home!"

I just left a msg with my guide. I will keep you guys posted. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Just spoke to our guide... Apprently the 2008 point offer is only for AKV and not BLT.

We were thinking BLT ourselves, but since we looked online think AKV would be better for our family. Any thoughts out there on one over the other?

We toured both BLT & AKV and just love the look of AKV. BLT just seems way to fancy for our liking.

After two days of phone tag with my guide, she said she never heard of 2008 points. Because Kidani Village is a brand new building and just opened it was not open in 2008. Total Bummer for me. :guilty:

But those of you who got 2008 points with Kidani consider yourselves lucky!!!!:thumbsup2

That is a load of bull (not on your part but your guide's). Kidani is open within the 2008 point year. Many people received 2008 points with their Kidani contracts. I received them with both of my contracts (which have June UY.)

2008 points may not still be available but they were and for a guide to say that they weren't is a complete lie. I wish they would a) be honest with prospective/new member and say that they are no longer available or b) train new guides better to understand recent offereings so that they are not a wealth of misinformation. Stuff like this really makes me question the ability of some guides to provide people with even the most basic of information regarding DVC.

We had to buy into Jambo House to get a DEC '08 UY. Really only benefit is we set the UY back by 6 months.

We did this yesterday and our Guide told us very few Jambo contracts remain. Since AKV is viewed as a single property it does not matter if you have Kidani or Jambo contract for reservation privelages.

We actually just booked out first Kidani trip for next March. We have a savannah view at Jambo for the end of the month.

Congratulations and welcome home! :)

So do you recommend going over my Guide's head to find this info out. OP just got 2008 points a few days ago. Obviously, if I can get them, I want them. That means I do not have to borrow 2010 points I can bank most of my 2009.

Anyone have another # I can contact to find out this info.

TIA
