I think a new thread is the best. It makes it easier to catch up and keep up.
 

Hi I am just checking in, I have yet to accomplish anything and I am still 0/28. But, tomorrow is still another day. I am not discouraged, I just have a really hard time focusing on myself and what I do, and I am always so busy with the kids. I cant really have a chance to exercise until the kids go back to school in a few weeks. But I will get there.:woohoo:
 
Hi everyone! Okay, so are we going to have a new thread every week? That's how I'm reading it...is that right??

Anyways, I had a pretty good week. I weigh myself everyday b/c I've found that works best for me and I was consistently .2 to .4 lbs less each day...except this morning. I made a birthday cake for one of my friends last night and probably nibbled too much batter. But that's okay...I counted it as part of my WW points. I also had a pretty good week exercising, here's what I did each day:

Monday-30 mins elliptical, 15 minutes running
Tuesday-45 minute Cathe weight video (Push/Pull for Cathe fans)
Wednesday-30 minute interval run
Thursday-off
Friday-20 mins elliptical, 20 minute run
Saturday-going to do a FIRM video w/ heavy weights

Tonight I'm going out for my friends birthday and already decided that I probably won't drink...I don't need the sugary alcohol calories. Next Saturday I'm in a wedding and have to look good in my bridesmaid dress! Hope everyone has a great weekend!
 
I had a pretty good week as well although I have not been able to exercise the last few days thanks to a pinched nerve in my neck (ouch!). Hopefully that will resolve itself very soon.

This week I lost 2 pounds so I am 2/40 on this challenge. 38 more to go.... ;)

Onward and downward..... :)
 
Hey everyone!

Just checking in from the weekend. I work weekends and usually do not get a chance to post on the DIS during that time. Work can be stressfull and I am trying really hard to avoid stress eating at work. I purposely pack something crunchy to eat if I am stressed and this weekend I did not buy anything from the vending machine!:banana: That was my goal. Tonight when I came home DH asked if I wanted to go out and get icecream. I know he really wanted it, so I went along, but didn't order any!:yay: I am so proud of that. I also have a long drive home, in the evening, so I eat take out and I (for the first time in I can't remember.... ) did not order any SUPERSIZED meals, just the regular meal. AND I told myself no snacking tonight, and I DID NOT EAT AT NIGHT! :cool1:

So, I made some changes this weekend, and feel really good about those, hoping to reach more goals this week!
 
I had two victories today

#1 I took my brother downtown to go shopping and he asked to go through the McDonald's drivethrough. I did not get anything and only stole two of his fries:thumbsup2

#2 Tonight I went to the bookstore with my mom and she asked if I wanted to go to Dairy Queen and I said no:thumbsup2

I turned my back on temptation twice today:banana:
 
Hi everyone. Checking in after the weekend. I was a bit upset this morning. I've been following my plan all week and Friday I had hoped on the scale for my Disappearing Peeps weigh in to find that I had lost 4.5 lbs. I was very happy and thrilled. Today I hoped on the scale for my normal weekly weigh in and the weight had gone back up again. I still lost weight (-2.5) but can't understand why in the world the scale went back up 2 lbs in just 2 days. I had a small treat on Saturday night (an italian ice) but it just doesn't seem worthy of 2 lbs. Ugh! It was just such a let down and so dissappointing I just started crying in the middle of the bathroom.

I'm not usually so emotional about weigh in's but today just set me off. I know I still lost 2 lbs this week but I just lost it a bit. I don't think the fact that I had gone trying on bathing suits for my Disney trip helped at all. I had picked up a really cute suit from Land's End earlier this year before I had put back on 20 lbs. Now it doesn't fit. I keep telling myself if I stick to this it will fit before my trip!

Don't be discouraged! Weight fluctuates daily for many reasons. I think you will find that if you weighed yourself every day in the morning and then at night your weight would be different every time. I try and stick to weighing myself only once a week on the same day right when I wake up. That way the day to day fluctuations don't have the chance to upset me and my body is pretty much in the same condition each time I weigh myself (ie just woken up from 8 hour sleep, empty stomach, empty bladder)

You are still losing weight which is the most important thing so try and stay positive and those pounds will melt off. Just remember that a slow weight lose is a healthy weight lose!
 
Hi, just checking in and to post my first loss of 1 pound so I am now 1/28.:banana: Many times I have difficulties starting the diet, hopefully now I am on the right tract. I really need to do this because I am so uncomfortable with myself being at the weight that I am at. I had three kids all within 4 years and now that they are getting older (my youngest is 3) maybe I can start to take care of myself.:dance3:
 
Hey Melanie! Can I join? I haven't been posting much here but I've been doing very well on my own, I lost 15 lbs so far! But I sure could use some support! I need to lose at least another 30.

I pretty much cut out all bad carbs.....I eat only whole grains and I increased my fruits and veggies. I have been walking every night too. How have you been?
 
HI everyone!

I lost another pound, so I am at 3.5/50. I was hoping for more, but I am proud of that accomplishment. I have tracked everything I ate, and just yesterday upped my workout by 15 minutes. I have an elliptical I use at home. I watch tv when I do it, and only did 25 minutes, but now have upped it to 40 and I feel pretty good when I am done. I will probably start switching up some exercise so I don't get bored. Hope everyone had a great week!

Sign me up for 25 lbs by the end of the year....thats how long the challenge goes right?
Thats almost half my goal, but hopefully do-able between now and then.
I have been up and down within a 10 lb range since DD was born over a year ago and its time to get serious.

Today I have been bad food wise, I got together with a friend this AM and we hit Starbucks at the Mall - a bad combination for my diet and my wallet. But I plan to work out tonight.
Hopefully I can get in a WATP workout.

Is there a set day for checking in?
 
Hello- I am new to DisBoards but would like to join this weight loss 'we can do it challenge." I'm not even sure how to post...
My goal is 15-20 pounds and I have lost 5 as of today. It's taken me about 10 weeks to do it- gaining, losing, gaining etc.
 
I would like to join the challenge. Right now I am 5/15. But my goal may change to 20. Right now I'm not sure.
 
I am not sure where we are posting our results on this thread of the other one but I lost another 2.5 this week so that puts me at 4.5/40 for this challenge. :)

I too posted on the other thread and would like to join the challenge if its still open. I just weighed myself today and I'm at 2/25! Can't wait to "meet" everyone and lose this darned weight.
