We always make our reservations wat the NON-toll-free number. I paid using my Disney Visa. I ask if there were any perks for using it to book the WDW vacation and she said to call the credit card company.

Is this accurate? She sounded a little new (she put us on hold FOREVER because she said she'd never put a special request in for a roll-in shower). Should I call the CC company? Are there any perks at all that you know of?

I think with the Disney Visa you get 6 months no interest on the vacation, but that's all that's standard. Sometimes they offer special rates, but you usually get that in your statement.

If you booked a package you should be able to get it with the "6 months same as cash" deal. Other then that I don't think they are offering any other benefits at this time. Once your bill comes just call Disney Visa and make sure that the package you purchased is eligible for the non-interest for 6 month deal (most if not all packages are) and find out when it must be paid by to avoid interest.

You might want to do a search or discuss with the cc company about how the no interest vacation works. there was a recent thread about it that made it sound like it isnt as simple as okay this is a vacation package so there is no interest.

I would either call Disney Visa direct and ask or if you check your account online you can access "view current offers" and it will tell you what specials they are currently running.

Becareful of what you charge on your card because the payment for your "interest free" vacation will be applied to that first and then your charges once that is paid off so even though your vacation was "interest free" you paid interest longer on your other charged items.

This interest and same as cash stuff means nothing to us. We pay off the entire balance.

Other than the 6 months same as cash deal, as of right now, there is no deal for Disney World with the card.

It doesn't really have any special "all the time" perks, I know you can possibly get a discount off tours (not sure if that is still going or not) but that's about it.

You would need to check your statement on-line since sometimes the offers vary (the one I know of is the double points, the amount you need to charge varies person to person).

The only benefit is 6 months zero interest on that balance plus the Disney Reward Dollars. If you haven't done so already, go on the Disney card website and get your reward card and transfer your reward dollars balance when the charges hit. It's nice to have that bit of 'extra' to spend at the park!

I don't believe that is how it works unless they have changed it. When we used the "6 months same as cash" a year ago the first part of our payment was applied to the new charges and the remaining onto the vacation. However, we don't carry a balance so I'm not sure how it works if a balance was on there to begin with so maybe that is what 4greatboys was commenting about.
