Ok friends...this last stop is very special to me!
My childhood home was just one block from the Chesapeake Bay. It was almost daily (in the summer) that I would walk down my street, walk over the sand dunes, and hang out on Bay Lake Beach which was a "private" part of the Cheasapeake Bay Beach for our neighborhood.
From there I could see the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.
This picture may not be the greatest, but its taken from a special vantage point. This is Chicks Beach which connects to Baylake Beach....a short stretch of beach on the Chesapeake Bay. I walked this exact stretch of beach countless times. The bridge in front of you is the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel which is absolutley breath taking at night. Another high school hangout spot. I would walk with my friends to the pilings and pick barnacles when I was growing up. There was a little store called the Tinee Giant that had the best slushies and sour apple gum! Ah, memories.....this was a very nice virtual stroll down memory lane.
I'll be saying my goodbyes and getting to move on in a minute. But I need to finish up something first. Until then just breath in that salty beachy smell. There's nothing like it!
