UPDATE ****PICS IN POST #8****
Well, the title does say it all!! While we were waiting for our table at CP (Wednesday, Aug 13) Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson was escorted past us. It all happened quickly, no time to snap a photo, as he has his own security guards as well as disney CM's around him. Five miuntes later, we were being seated at CP...right next to THE ROCK!! DS (12) and DH were exstatic!! We were seated next to theirs. DS and DH were facing him. DS(5) had no clue. Their table had about 10 people at it- they were celebrating their daughter's birthday- his wife and mother in law were there, along with 4 little girls (and other assorted relatives). His security guards were seated directly behind him (The Rock).
Dwayne was very low key, and his wife got his food from the buffet. While we desperatley wanted to snap away and take lots of pictures, our conscience and the fact he had BIG security guards
deterred us- we wanted to respect their family and let them celebrate their daughter's birthday in peace....HOWEVER, this WAS a CHARACTER lunch, so when Pooh came around, we got The Rock in our photo- pretty much on purpose- as well as one other shot of him. At the dessert buffet, their daughter ran into DH and the Rock's wife was very apologetic to him- DH told his wife it was no big deal.
We had the same waitress as he did, so after they left, we asked her if he was a good tipper
.She said the tip WAS included but he did give her more- she said that he was very nice, too. My DS went over and sat in the chair that he was sitting in, and we got a photo of him, as well as their not entirely cleard off table- the Rock had a big Evian water bottle that the CP had given him to drink and DH wanted to take the bottle home. I don't know how to add photos to my posts, but I can eith PM them if anyone who wants to see or make DH post them...they are kind of funny as one is of me and DS (5), but I told DH to PRETEND to take it of us- but really he was taking it of The Rock- so our expressions are PRICELESS (and kind of embarrasing...) It was a very fun lunch!!
